I just feel like given the core principles of the series, every Pokémon should be viable in battle situations. I mean, they've preached it since Gen 1; and those core values have been a very big part of my evolution as a person.

And, the power creep could easily be mostly solved by a stat re-balance and ability revisions. That's all it would take. The only other thing that would require an overhaul, might be the Ice and Grass types given how bad their match ups are and how unviable they are overall. Outside of that, maybe a handful of movepool revisions.

Yes, I am fully aware that VGC is the official competitive tier; I am actually incredibly anti-Smogon, always have been. But, my point is; what you're saying should not be the case. Even in VGC, there are only a handful of total viable Pokémon and that is a crime as far as I am concerned.

Why? Because, it stagnates. It gets old, and it gets boring watching and having to use the same handful of Pokémon in competitive play. You cannot have a healthy meta game with a power creep reaping through the roster, that goes for any game.

And, that implies I am the problem; which is the exact opposite of how it should be handled. And, it isn't just online sites and communities. It's online games and such as well, so should I or others stop doing what they enjoy because of toxicity? It's just short of, if not outright victim blaming.

And, as shocking as it may seem; there are people who say these things and aren't trolling. This whole, people being outright rude and harsh thing being generalized as trolling is a bad standard and precedent.

But, as I said, I am not arguing this because it is a waste of energy.

Idk, when someone straight up tells something they are "being a little bitch" and shames someone else for being upset; that's pretty clean cut on the emotions are bad thing. There's nothing philosophical about it when you are straight up shaming people for emotional responses. Has nothing to do with logic, it's base line bullying and nothing else.

All I did was call the admin out on their bullshit, and stood my ground without losing my temper. Which, if you know me, losing my temper is a common occurrence unfortunately.

Even if some of the memes that spawned there were unsavory. We have it to thank for great memes such as What Is Love, O Rly, and Roflcopter. It also assisted in Lazy Town becoming the meme it is today. But, for now, it seems like a vast wasteland of shit posts and a graveyard of long dead memes.

You must be the minority, then. I'm a Mei main, and play Lucio very frequently; not to mention one of my friends is a Lucio main as well. I only get POTG, if I do the killing as Mei after ulting. And Lucio? Even with raw luck bumps off of the map, I have seen two or three POTGs at most. Also, Zarya has high damage capacity; making that point moot. On the subject of Symmetra, she also has high damage capacity; and with her range buff, she's broken. I don't even know why she's considered a support hero, her abilities make her more suited for Defense.

And, this complaint is a common enough complaint for a large enough portion of the fan base that Blizzard wants to change how POTG works. And, two examples, is hardly an argument when you consider there are twenty-two heroes total.
