Enatsyrte
Hi folks ! It has been some time I haven't done an Aevian form on this discussion thread and I wanted to work on a new style I haven't done yet. Before presenting the new form, I need to explain the contest : Rejuvenation is a continuity concernning Fields mechanics. Plus, the game is known for having a complex history and lore. I wanted to create a Pokémon which reflects these 2 topics, so here is Aevian Banette ! Avant tout, Banette and its pre evolution will have a regional form, so I'll start with Shuppet. Pokedex Entry : Decades ago, it was a popular among the children. Nowadays, this subspecies is almost extinct. I won't detail more Shuppet but with its evolution they will have a softer design. This regional form will be like white dolls with blue eyes and some zippers for the evolution. Now a bit of lore about these two little guys : Before the cataclysm, there were no Ghost-type Shuppet and Banette. They were popular dolls every child wanted to have. But due to the cataclysm, most of them lost their owner, making them to feel anger and pain, leading them to become the Shuppet and Banette we currently know. Plus the Aevian Shuppet and Banette will be extremely rare since none remember how to craft them. I also decided to incorporate that notion in their evolution mechanic : A-Shuppet evolves into A-Banette with a level-up after reaching a high friendship cap. Here is the second Pokedex Entry : Only the most loving owner could have their Shuppet to evolve, becoming a delicacy. In return, it is highly faithful to their trainer and does everything in its power to support them. Once you gained the trust of your A-Shuppet, it evolves into a A-Banette able to support you the best it can. Of course, you've understood this regional form will be a support Pokémon. Type : Normal Base Stats : HP : 64 => 120 Atk : 115 => 55 Def : 65 => 66 Sp.Atk : 83 => 80 Sp.Def : 63 => 83 Speed : 65 => 51 Total BS : 455 Other data of the Pokémon : 1. Height : 0.90m 2. Weight : 0.99kg Ability : Adaptive Toolbox : The user takes a secondary type based on its first status move and uses it on entry. All Status moves of its type get priority. [The ability doesn't work on pivoting moves such as Parting Shot or Baton Pass] A-Banette will be a unique support Pokémon. It has decent stats while being extremely limited, but becomes far more versatile to help your team. Plus, the secondary typing will change depending on your needs. 0 Loving Burst Normal Special 90 100% 20 1 Covet Normal Physical 60 100% 20 1 Screech Normal Status — 85% 40 1 Seismic Toss Fighting Physical — 100% 20 1 Lucky Chant Normal Status — —% 30 4 Charm Fairy Status — 100% 20 7 Headbutt Normal Physical — 100% 15 10 Assist Normal Status — —% 20 13 Quick Attack Normal Physical 40 100% 30 16 Spore Grass Status — 100% 15 19 Knock Off Dark Physical 65 100% 20 22 Leech Seed Grass Status — 90% 10 26 Rapid Spin Noram Physical 50 100% 40 30 Hyper Voice Ghost Special 90 100% 10 34 Cotton Guard Grass Status — —% 10 40 Nature Power Normal Physical — —% 20 46 Recover Normal Status — —% 10 52 Glare Normal Status — 100% 30 58 Trick Psychic Status — 100% 10 64 Parting Shot Dark Status — 100% 20 Signature Move : Loving Burst BP : -- Type : Normal PP : 20 Acc : 100 The user unleashes a powerful blast. Of course, A-Banette gets a vaste movepool to support your team but it has some limits. Status moves gets priority only if they have the same typing as Banette ! Banette gets the Dark ? Beware of Taunt or Fast Parting Shot ! All the support movepool cannot be used in the same set while taking benefit from A-Banette ability, making it less effective in some situations compared to other Pokémons with the Prankster ability. Let's had to that A-Banette must communicate some information about its movepool if it wants to get a secondary typing. First, it will communicate its new typing, and reveal one of its moves ! Thats means you can get an idea of the movepool Banette could have. Let's take an example : You're facing an A-Banette with Normal / Dark typing ? Okay, don't try to set up on him, unless you have the Contrary ability, and destroy it with a Fighting move. Now, I'll show you some sets you can use :Overlay SetterBanette @ Amplified Rock Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Electric Terrain / Psychic Terrain / Grassy Terrain / Misty Terrain - Rising Voltage / Expanding Force / Spore / Loving Burst - Recover - Parting ShotHazard Controller + Phazer Banette @ Leftovers Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Impish Nature - Roar - Stealth Rock - Rapid Spin - Parting ShotWeather SetterBanette @ Weather Rock Ability: Adaptive Toolbox EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Rain Dance - Weather Ball / Loving Burst - Glare - Parting Shot As you see, sometimes its vast movepool doesn't always work perfectly to complete a role and it'll suffer the 4 Moveslots Syndrom => Depending on the situation you would have needed another move (with priority or not). But like this, a well prepared A-Banette may shine by its utility :)
