Taking place on the weekend of July 17th, this tournament will be held on the Reborn Server, and will be taking place in the style of the VGC tournaments! What's the VGC? It's the [b]V[/b]ideo [b]G[/b]ame [b]C[/b]hampionship- the official Pokemon tournament. [url="http://www.pokemonvgc.com/en/regulations.php"]Don't know the rules? Check it~![/url] Mind, we will -not- be restricting nicknames or game cartridges as specified on that page. You are free to use whatever names or games you please. Don't feel like reading all that? I don't blame you- Sparknotes: Register 6 Pokemon, 4 each will be used in double battles, with the species and item clauses. Bam. This tournament will take place in a Round Robin style. A scoreboard will be posted on the 16th. Teams must be registered with me by July 14th at latest. To register, PM me with the species and moves of your team members. Prizes: All placing competitors will receive a retry credit for their challenge in the reborn league. Second place will additionally be granted the ability to bend rule #9 in the league. First place may decide the theme of T5. Date: The tournament will take place on the weekend of Sunday, July 17th at 7:00 PM EST on the Reborn Server. Stars Posted July 13, 2010 Share Posted July 13, 2010 For anyone who hasn't read the official rules that Ame linked to, I would like to warn you that Ubers are allowed to a certain extent. None of the event-only pokemon are allowed, but most of the other legendaries are; the catch is that you can only use two of them at a time. Pretty much all of the legendaries that are considered by most to be OU are allowed without restriction. See the link for more accurate details. We really need to buy you a calendar, Cy. I'd also just like to remind that the VGC rules do use Item Clause, at least in battle. You could register two Pokemon with Leftovers but if they both battle then only one may use it. Maybe we should have people submit their items, too, then just in case.
