Great and/or ultra balls

So I just ran into a shiny mawile, which I will probably fail. This is mainly because I haven't got my hands on any good balls, the best ones like dusk, never work when I need them, so I am stuck throwing love balls at it while it is at full hp hoping for a crit capture, is there a reason that critical capture balls seem to not work?

an can I get great balls where I am now with 7 gym badges about to fight radomus?

5th Floor at Obsida Departement Store sells Great Balls

Besides of that - i dont know when and which market sells great balls (you would Need to check the Grand hall) but have you searched with your Itemfinder? there plenty great and Ultra balls through the game

Guess you just missed it Research Center, Right between the moomoos (west of aventurine forest, the Center, top Floor)

Thats Pretty stupid in that game because you get a lot of items, hints, ….

In General you dont Need to be afraid of battles, most People dont , besides of the dudes on the routes

I dont know which guy Right now But you at radomus you said? just the whole way back to the left - at the end is a Center with 3 Floors or so: this one
