Armaldo or Shiftry for ORAS Nuzlocke?

I'm in the middle of an Omega Ruby Nuzlocke at the moment and I just let my Breloom get killed! I'm needing a new teammate to take up the mantle. My options are Armalldo or Shiftry….well, Anorith or Nuzleaf but same difference at this point. 

 

I can't figure out who the better fit would be! Here's the rest of the team at the moment!

Armaldo's typing gives you good coverage against psychic and dark types, plus the ability Battle Armor is a solid defense against crits when you don't want to take any chances or need to switch-heal. It has some good attack and defense as well. Shiftry gives you a good grass and dark type but it's quite frail in taking hits, and you'd be relying heavily on TMs for its moveset since it's a stone evolution. Grass is super effective on rock, water and ground types but you've already got Marshtomp, Pelipper, Manectric and a levitating poison type to handle those. Armaldo's bug typing can hit psychic and dark types for super effective damage and you'll need that for the E4. Shiftry is weak to seven types as well whereas Armaldo is only weak to three. If you can move tutor Stealth Rocks onto Armaldo as well, you're set.

 

I'd go for Armaldo.

I'd say armaldo, but keep shiftree in the back in case the metaphorical shit hits the metaphorical fan

I appreciate you guys' responses! Ended up going with Armaldo. As of Mossdeep City it's been proving to be a good choice. Keeping Shiftry as a viable option though!
