No you don't, as the beginning is fast paced the game then get's more storycentered and you won't see badges for quite some time

ArcBolt27 Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 also your save will work in v11 im pretty sure so even if you finish v10 before v11 is released you wont have to worry... you would have ample time to complete a few unfinished side quests, catch/evolve any pokemon you havent caught or want to catch, grind money in the event u may need it at a later time, stuff like that
