I'm looking for a way to make my own puzzles like what Ame has done with Swirlix, turtwig ect but also some suggestions on other types of puzzles to do

scroll down to the tile puzzles. The only thing you need to make yourself are the graphics.

You can see a reference for how the graphics should be in your graphics->Pictures->Tile Puzzle folder.
