Does it have other uses in battle? Gyro ball deals more damage the slower the user is than the target. 25*Target speed over user speed. So if your pokemon is half as fast it has base power of 50. A quarter and its 100, etc. Since most competitive Pokemon are built to have max speed and Aegislash with its abysmal speed will usually deal out a lot of damage to the target.
