Shadow Salandit

I'm at the battle with Marianette (so the Snag Machine is still broken), and I wanted to try to get a Salazzle, but then I realized too late that the shadow Salandit was male x.x
Is there a way to get another shadow Salandit that's female for the moves you get after purification at this moment? Or am I just screwed?

A shadow one, no.  There are Sandalits available later.  If you just caught it, you can always change to a backup file.

You can get as much as you want after your snag machine gets fixed. (Dream in Dr. Jenkel's lab also applies for other incidents' shadow mon.)

I had tried to do that when I realized the SM was never actually fixed ;<;

I went through the same problem when I decided I wanted a salazzle for my team. I think the earliest option is shortly after getting ditto if you've been following it around, (around gym 5-6) and breeding it with the purified male salandit. not sure if theres catchable ones earlier than than but I don't think I found any

Yeah, you are quite a few gyms off from catching wild Salandits.   The move you missed out on is

Water Pulse, which might offer some extra coverage against Ground and Rock types, especially with Nasty plot.  Honestly, I've barely used the move, since Salazzle is fairly easy for opponents to oneshot, so just using a water mon is preferable.
