I would recomend at least some meat shields or even better a trubish. Also starting with combusken should be a good idea Spoiler I dont know what you know about her, so I dont want to reveal too much, but if you already know or dont mind spoilers you should say so. If Trubbish is not to your liking, Gulpin could be found in a garbage bin near Peridot's Pokemon Center. Both has high bulk to eat up attacks.
