Is Life Orb even obtainable in this game?

I looked everywhere for it, and when my Magician Delphox steals it from opposing opponent, I can't seem to find it after the battle.

It is only available through Strength glitch after obtaining Waterfall (near the Route 1 entrance to the mountains in the north, although you might have to go from the other side - I did) or...

 

(this is a secret method) ...by cloning it with Fling + Recycle after stealing from opponent.

 

Or at least both of these applied in E15. I didn't check if they still work in E16.

I read somewhere that absol has a 5 % chance to hold a lifeorb while catching. I can't confirm this though

I can confirm that you can still get it through the Strength glitch in E16.  Just in case someone comes across this thread and is wondering.
