Shinoda Yagami Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 The Giratina battle at Wispy Tower is proving tough, since Giratina is basically resistant to most of the elemental moves. I probably need fairy pokemon to land supereffective hits so, which one is best?
Sr.F Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Hum... Nor is necessary to bring a fairy type for that battle, but if you want to get someone early in the game, you can try Granbull.
daigotsurezan Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 My recommendation is actually a well-trained Mightyena, because it's easily available and if you can get enough speed (say with a lucky Thunder Wave), you can do a good chunk of damage with Bite.
Phi-Bi Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Fairy type is not necessary to beat that Giratina but all fairies is good against that Giratina if you really need a fairies. Unless you're doing a fairy run, other pokemon type is recommended since fairy is a bit hard to find (they have rare encounter rate). Dark types is good not only because it resist ghost move, they can also deal with other Geara's team members. Like daigotsurezan has said, Mightyena is good especially the intimidate ones. But if you really wants fairies, I recommend Aromatisse. It has Calm Mind, Moonblast/Draining Kiss, and even Heal Pulse for support (since it's a double battle iirc). It can be found on Route 2 (very rare) and evolved via Link Stone while it held Sachet (can be bought from Route 3's merchant).
Combat Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Despite the weakness, I found that using a good Ghost Pokemon can held, assuming you can out speed it. Using dark types would probably be your best bet though.
Shinoda Yagami Posted July 8, 2016 Author Posted July 8, 2016 hey thanks for all the help I did indeed beat giratina, in the end with a noctowl: hypnosis+airslash combo. Also I beat narcissa on the first try!! But I lost while battling Nim (mainly because most of my team was damaged from trainer battles and there wasnt a centre nearby) and now my save file is wrecked. I cant move and am stuck in the dimensional field if someone can fix this it would be great! Already posted on the save file troubleshooting thread I'll post it here too just in case Game.rxdata
