Make your own Delta Pokemon (CAP)

Recommended Posts

So, anybody here familiar with the TCG or Pokemon Zeta/Omnicron/Insurgence? If so, you might remember that they had Delta Pokemon, or Pokemon that had different typings and the movepools to match them, but otherwise no changes. What I'm suggesting is that we come up with some of our own Deltas, in this format:

[Delta Name]: [Delta Primary Typing]/[Delta Secondary Typing]

[Delta Design Description]

[Reason for creating Delta]

[Delta Ability 1]/[Delta Ability 2]/[Delta Hidden Ability]

[Delta Level-up Movepool]

[Delta TM Movepool]

[Delta Tutor Movepool]

[Delta Breeding Movepool]

[Delta Egg Group]

Here, let me give an example, based on an idea I've been spitballing around:

Delta Tropius: Fairy/Dragon

Design Description: A Dragon made out of candy and cake, with cherries growing on its neck and lollipop wings (picture Slurpuff, but a dragon).

Reason for Creation: To me, Tropius was one of those Pokemon that got screwed over by its typing. It has decent defensive stats, two great boosting moves in Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, and a wide support movepool. However, its Grass/Flying Typing is terribadtastic defensively and has several flaws offensively, so it's stuck in the depths of PU. I figure with a better defensive and offensive typing, it could do better, so I gave it a Fairy/Dragon typing, which (as Mega Altaria has proven) is a great typing both offensively and defensively. It might not be OU material, but I figure it's gotta be better than PU.

Abilities: Mulitscale/Sweet Veil/Harvest

Level-Up Movepool:

-Lv. 1: Outrage, Leer, Fairy Wind, Cotton Spore, Twister

-Lv. 6: Sweet Scent

-Lv. 10: Stomp

-Lv. 16: Dragon Breath

-Lv. 21: Aromatheraphy

-Lv. 26: Dragon Pulse

-Lv. 30: Natural Gift

-Lv. 36: Play Rough

-Lv. 41: Body Slam

-Lv. 46: Bestow

-Lv. 50: Cotton Guard

-Lv. 56: Dragon Rush

-Lv. 61; Outrage

TM Movepool:

Hone Claws, Dragon Claw, Roar, Toxic, Hidden Power, Sunny Day, Hyper Beam, Protect, Roost, Frustration, Earthquake, Return, Double Team, Aerial Ace, Facade, Rest, Attract, Round, Steel Wing, Energy Ball, Giga Impact, Flash, Swords Dance, Bulldoze, Dragon Tail, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Secret Power, Nature Power, Dazzling Gleam, Confide, Cut, Fly, Strength, Rock Smash

Tutor Movepool:

Snore, Dual Chop, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, Tailwind

Bred Moves:

Curse, Dragon Dance, Dragon Rage, Dragon Rush, Headbutt, Leech Seed, Moonblast, Moonlight, Natural Gift, Nature Power, Razor Wind, Slam,

Egg Group: Monster/Fairy

So, yeah, that's it. Let me know what you think, and feel free to leave your own ideas!

I think an even more interesting idea would be something like Ultimate Bravery from League of Legends, everything is randomized.

Delta Raichu: Water/Electric

Design Description: Raichu, but with Aquamarine/Cobalt instead of Yellow/Brown color scheme. The cheeks become inflated bubbles. The tail remains yellow, though. It also gets a yellow surfboard.

Reason for Creating Delta: 1. I feel like the Water/Electric typing could be used more offensively instead of just being on Lanturn.
2. I feel like Raichu doesn't really deserve to be in the bottom of the bag, PU. The evolution of the Pokemon series' Mascot should at least get itself a decent place, right?

Abilities: Swift Swim/Lightning Rod/Water Veil

Level-Up Movepool:
-Lv. 1: Hydro Pump, Tail Whip, Thunder Shock, Aqua Jet
(Stone Evolution, RIP)

(EXTRA) Delta Pikachu's Level-Up Movepool:
-Lv. 1 Bubble, Tail Whip
-Lv. 5 Flash

-Lv. 10 Aqua Jet

-Lv. 37 Discharge
-Lv. 42 Thunderbolt
-Lv. 45 Agility
-Lv. 50 Aqua Tail
-Lv. 52 Surf
-Lv. 55 Thunder
-Lv. 58 Hydro Pump

This is an awesome idea.

Pokemon Darkness is doing Deltas from TCG so we will try our best to come up with as amazing ideas and concepts as you guys most likely will so we hope you enjoy them when we reveal them. :)

I kind of wish if we ever get stuck, we could use this thread as a helper such as Baz with his CAMP thread for Guardians but we would need permission or something right. If someone could let me know, that would be greatly appreciated.

I'll post some of my own ideas later once a few others post. :)

Thanks for coming up with this thread idea Lord Chespin and have a great day/night.

Wow, I really got a lot of feedback! Thanks to everyone who replied so far, and here's my next idea:

Delta Slakoth/Vigoroth/Slaking: Electric

Description: The whole evolutionary family is colored yellow instead of light brown, electric green instead of dark brown, and electric blue instead of pink/red. Additionally, Slaking is standing upright and has electricity surrounding its hands.

Reason For Creation: Slaking, by all means, should be Ubers material. It has godly stats bar Special Defense (and even that can be patched up with an assault vest) and a great movepool; however, its horrendous ability keeps it stuck in PU. The challenge with this Delta was making it strong enough for OU, but somewhat crippled enough so that it didn't shoot straight to Ubers. Funnily enough, Twitch Plays Pokemon (way back in 2014) helped me come up with the idea: back in TPP Randomized Fire Red, they caught a Slaking that had Minus instead of Truant, so I figured I'd give that to Slaking, as it's a relatively useless ability that doesn't actually harm it. Additionally, the Electric typing doesn't give it access to many good physical moves, so it suffers from Kyurem-B syndrome and can't take full advantage of its godly Attack stat. Hopefully, this will hold it back enough so it's "just" OU material.

Ability: Minus -> Plus -> Minus

Level-up Movepool:

Delta Slakoth:

Lv. 1: Nuzzle, Charge

Lv. 6: Encore

Lv. 9: Slack Off

Lv. 14: Feint Attack

Lv. 17: Amnesia

Lv. 22: Spark

Lv. 25: Thunder Punch

Lv. 30: Counter

Lv. 33: Wild Charge

Lv. 38: Play Rough

Delta Vigoroth:

Lv. 1: Reversal, Nuzzle, Focus Energy, Encore, Volt Switch

Lv. 6: Encore

Lv. 9: Volt Switch

Lv. 14: Fury Swipes

Lv. 17: Endure

Lv. 23: Thunderbolt

Lv. 27: Thunder Punch

Lv. 33: Counter

Lv. 37: Focus Punch

Lv. 43: Reversal

Delta Slaking:

Lv. 1: Hammer Arm, Punishment, Fling, Nuzzle, Charge, Encore, Slack Off

Lv. 6: Encore

Lv. 9: Slack Off

Lv. 14: Feint Attack

Lv. 17: Amnesia

Lv. 23: Spark

Lv. 27: Thunder Punch

Lv. 33: Counter

Lv. 36: Swagger

Lv. 39: Wild Charge

Lv. 47: Fling
Lv. 53: Punishment

Lv. 61: Hammer Arm

TM Compatibility:

More or less the same, except that compatibility with Wild Charge, Volt Switch, and Thunder Wave is added.

Tutor Moves:

More or less the same, except that compatibility with Magnet Rise is added.

Bred Moves:
More or less the same.

Delta Slaking looks nice, it feels like a stronger Electivire now!

Alright, here's my second contribution:

(DISCLAIMER: I'm going to break the rules slightly here by making a new ability. But trust me, this does more harm to the Pokemon than good.)

Delta Regigigas: Rock/Ice

Description: Regigigas fuses with the Regi trio. Its yellow rings turn into gray steel rings, and its grip claws become plated with steel. The black stripes become ice stripes. The "grass" on its body become brown chunks of rocks.

Reason For Creation: Regigigas has always been screwed over by its awful ability, Slow Start. Today, I would like to change that. With a Triple-typing of Rock/Ice/Steel, it may look incredible on the first glance. However, this typing holds a fatal weakness that makes it prone to two of the most common attacking types - 8x weakness to Fighting and 4x weakness to Ground (Not to mention it also has 2x weakness to Fire and Water!). To play well with Delta Regigigas, you must remove the opponent's Mach Punch or Vacuum Wave user first, and then setup on a Pokemon that can't touch Regigigas. Delta Regigigas may not be able to enter OU or UU by usage, but it's still a force to be reckoned with.

Ability: Metal Guard (Applies Steel typing to the user)

Level-up Movepool:

Lv. 1: Heavy Slam, Crush Grip, Ancient Power, Ice Punch, Rock Polish, Knock Off, Confuse Ray
Lv. 20: Iron Defense

Lv. 25: Ice Shard
Lv. 30: Curse
Lv. 35: Bullet Punch

Lv. 40: Wide Guard
Lv. 45: Hammer Arm

Lv. 50: Icicle Crash
Lv. 60: Iron Head

Lv. 65: Rock Slide

Lv. 75: Crush Grip

Lv. 80: Stone Edge

Lv. 85: Earthquake

Lv. 90: Autotomize

Lv. 95: Meteor Mash

Lv. 100: Giga Impact

TM Compatibility:

Toxic, Hail, Hidden Power, Sunny Day, Ice Beam, Blizzard Hyper Beam, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Frustration, Smack Down, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Earthquake, Return, Brick Break, Double Team, Rock Tomb, Facade, Rest, Round, Focus Blast, Fling, Charge Beam, Payback, Retaliate, Giga Impact, Rock Polish, Stone Edge, Thunder Wave, Psych Up, Bulldoze, Frost Breath, Rock Slide, Swagger, Sleep Talk, Substitute, Flash Cannon Rock Smash, Secret Power, Nature Power, Power-Up Punch, Confide, Strength

Tutor Moves:

Block, Drain Punch, Earth Power, Focus Punch, Gravity, Ice Punch, Icy Wind, Iron Head, Knock Off, Shock Wave, Snore, Superpower, Thunder Punch, Signal Beam, Magnet Rise, Stealth Rock.

Bred Moves:
None.

Egg Group: Undiscovered.

Delta Zoroark: Dark/Fairy

Zoroark's fur has become a brilliant white while its mane has turned into a purplish hue and is further elongated, . The "paintbrush" tip now oozes with a scarlet mystical energy, which appears to have the ability to distort reality and "paint" illusions. Zoroark 's arms have grown violet fur which flow loosely, and it face has gathered a few more red markings. Its nails have become longer and sharper as well. When painting illusions, Delta Zoroark moves as if it's dancing, completely enchanting any within its vicinity.

I really like Zoroark and I'm awaiting the day we get a true mega or evolved form. I wanted to play off its "paintbrush ponytail" more in Delta Zoroark's design. I picked fairy as the secondary typing because fairies are associated with trickery and magic, both are which Zoroark is heavily about.

Okay, I've got another Delta coming at you, and it's kind of a doozy. Say hello to...

Delta Eevee -> Delta Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Sylveon: Fairy -> Poison, Rock, Flying, Fighting, Steel, Bug, Ghost, Dragon

Description: Eevee is more or less the same, but poofier, and has a Delta symbol drawn on its forehead. Vaporeon is purple with white streaks, and has a skunk's tail instead of a mermaid's tail. Jolteon is made of polished granite, and has quartz crystals instead of spikes. Flareon's colors are paler, it has a poofy cloud mane, and has wings made of clouds. Espeon is tan and brown instead of pink and purple, and has a glowing kanji for "power" on its forehead instead of a gem. Umbreon is made of steel and has a sickle for a tail, and has thinner limbs. Leafeon is purple, has eight limbs (instead of four), has a stinger tail instead of a leaf tail, and has compund eyes. Glaceon's body is made mostly of an ethereal grey mist, with its skeleton visible and glowing red eyes. Sylveon is a bright red and orange, with snakes instead of ribbons and a scar instead of a bow.

Reason For Creation: I've always liked the Eeveelutions; they’re a cool concept, and they've got some awesome designs. However, sometimes their stat distributions and typings clashed, making Pokemon that ended up in PU. Sure, Espeon, Sylveon, and Umbreon turned out okay, but poor Glaceon, Leafeon and Flareon got shafted pretty hard. These Deltas seek to make the weaker Eeveelutions better, and the stronger ones even better. Plus, I was planning on making starters for my fan-made Pokemon game idea that are Deltas, and Eevee seemed like it would help monotypers out by giving them more options without having to hack in a starter.

Ability: Run Away/Adaptability/Anticipation -> Wonder Skin/Multiscale, Sand Force/Technician, Gale Wings/Reckless, Mega Launcher/Competitive, Filter/Clear Body, Tinted Lens/Speed Boost, Illusion/Magic Guard, Multiscale/Contrary

 I'd really appreciate it if you just put the Eeveelutions into individual spoilers, because it's really hard to examine each Eeveelution individually like that.

Delta Cleffa/Clefairy/Clefable: Fire

Description:
The entire evolution family has orange-red skin instead of pink, and pure-yellow eyes. Note that Clefairy needs a Sun Stone to evolve.
Cleffa: Its ears are smaller and angles upward, colored crimson. It also gets a line of thorns similar in size with its ears on the left and the right side of the body. Giving its body a Sun-shaped feel.
Clefairy: Keeping its thorns, but its tail glows radiantly, looking like a comet.
Clefable: Its wings are replaced by bursting flames.

Reason For Creation: I want to give Clefable a new role out of its classic CM Tank role. I picked the Sun theme to polarize on its original "Moon-fairy" design.

Ability: Flash Fire/Solar Power/ Drought(Clefable) or Flame Body(Cleffa & Clefairy)

Delta Spinarak/Ariados (Dark/Electric)

Description:

A species of Spinarak that has adapted to life in dark caves, where the prey they hunt are usually bound to the land rather than flying through the air, and tend to be stronger and difficult to catch. As such, their webbing has evolved to generate an electric current to paralyze those caught in their traps. They can even create special webs that glow in the dark, sometimes even resembling Pokemon that are preyed upon by other inhabitants of the caves. Compared to their regular counterparts, these Delta Spinarak sport a yellow, blue, and black motif, with their antenna upon evolving into Ariados being shaped into lightning bolts.

Reason for creation:

Come on, does anyone ever think of a line that is largely forgettable?

Abilities: Adaptability, Lightningrod, Prankster

Level-up moveset (this is assuming Ariados)

[-] Thundershock

[-] Pursuit

[-] Flash

[8] Thunder Wave

[12] Electroweb

[16] Feint Attack

[19] Sticky Web

[21] Fell Stinger

[23] Thunder Fang

[26] Confuse Ray

[30] Nasty Plot

[33] Discharge

[35] Electric Terrain

[41] Crunch

[44] Agility

[47] Wild Charge

[51] Dark Pulse

[55] Volt Switch

[60] Sucker Punch

TMs/Tutor Moves:

Haven't thought much here yet. Main ones would be the addition of Electric-based TMs and Shadow Claw + Shadow Ball while losing the poison-based moves.

Overall designed to be either a physical or special attacker depending on moveset. Special attackers get a boost though Nasty Plot and can get a boost by switching into Electric attacks (if Lightningrod ability), while physical attackers have to rely on Fell Stinger or Hone Claws (through TM) for any stat boosts. However, physical attackers do get access to Sucker Punch, which (kind of) ignores their low speed disadvantage. Adaptability has obvious raw power advantages, while Prankster lends itself to disabling setups.

One must note that this typing has many, many major weaknesses. Care should be exercised.

These are all awesome ideas so great job coming up with them. I'll try to follow that format but I can't promise I will when I do it especially because the fun part of deltas for me is the designs and abilities and new typings and the possibilities because of it. :)

Keep up the amazing ideas. I hope all you delta lovers will like the deltas Pokemon Darkness has in store.

Okay, boys, girls, and those in-between, I've got a Delta today that's technically already been made into a Delta by Pokemon Insurgence; however, I'm putting a new spin on it, so I think it's okay.

Delta Snorunt -> Delta Glalie/Froslass

Description: Delta Snorunt is mainly made up of a small chunk of rock with a few nuggets of iron sticking out. Delta Glalie is a larger, roughly circular rock with big chunks of iron sticking out of its head, like horns. Its mega is a much smoother chunk of rock that has a polished iron jaw and much more refined chunks of metal sticking out of it in the same places that its non-delta mega has spikes. Delta Froslass, on the other hand, is made entirely of metal, and has rapiers for hands, sort of like Bisharp. It also has two glowing red devil horns sticking out of cracks on its head, and its inside glows with an eerie red force.

Reason for Making: To be frank, I'm not sure I like what Pokemon Insurgence did with Delta Glalie. Sure, their Delta Froslass is fine, but their Delta Glalie has a typing (Fire/Rock) that's almost as bad as its default typing. My Delta Glalie's typing, while far from perfect, is a little better, giving it two good STAB types that it can take advantage of with its mega (especially the Rock type, as it can abuse Magic Guard and Rock Head with Head Smash). Delta Froslass, on the other hand, was made when I realized that on my list of Delta brainstorming, I didn't make a dark-type Delta. I decided to take a page out of Bisharp's book and give it Dark/Steel, and designed it as a fast entry hazard setter that strongly discourages Defog and can go both physically and specially.

Ability: Rock Head/Inner Focus/Battle Armor -> Rock Head/Inner Focus/Battle Armor/[Magic Guard], Defiant/Competitive

Level-Up Movepool:

Delta Snorunt

Lv. 1: Metal Claw, Leer

Well, with the reveal of CANON Delta Pokemon today, I figured it was time to breathe some life back into this thread! Today, I'll be describing a Pokemon that's kind of stuck in a no-man's land competitively, and could really use a new form to help it out. Say hello to...

Delta Aipom -> Delta Ambipom

Description: Actually, the concept for this guy was already made on the Holon Academy, but I don't think it was adopted into Insurgence. Here's the sprites:

id103.pngid104.png

yes I know they were pure ghost-types but I added the fighting-type because it gives it great coverage

Reason for Making: Aipom and Ambipom are Pokemon that got shafted competitively. Sure, they have Technician STAB Fake Out, but that's easily predicted around, and it has no really good coverage options for Rock or Steel types. This guy seeks to change this by giving it two godly STAB moves to abuse with Technician in Storm Throw and Shadow Punch, both of which get boosted to 90 Base Power (and Storm Throw gets boosted even further with critical-hit damage). Of course, it still has membranes for defenses, and it has kind of weak offenses, but STAB Technician Storm Throw makes up for that.

Abilities: Cursed Body/Run Away/Skill Link -> Cursed Body/Technician/Skill Link

Level-Up Movepool:

Delta Aipom:

Lv. 1: Karate Chop, Tail Whip

Lv. 4: Sand-Attack

Lv. 8: Shadow Sneak

Lv. 11: Baton Pass

Lv. 15: Curse

Lv. 18: Arm Thrust

Lv. 22: Shadow Punch

Lv. 25: Destiny Bond

Lv. 29: Agility
Lv. 32: Double Hit

Lv. 36: Storm Throw

Lv. 4: Sand-Attack

Lv. 8: Shadow Sneak

Lv. 11: Baton Pass

Lv. 15: Curse

Lv. 22: Shadow Punch

Lv. 25: Destiny Bond

Lv. 29: Agility
Lv. 32: Double Hit

Lv. 36: Storm Throw

Lv. 39: Nasty Plot

Lv. 43: Phantom Force
