YinYang9705 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Okay this is a question that`s been brewing in my head since I've caught my 5th shiny pokemon, just how high has the shiny encounter rate been increased? I know in the main games the rate is something like a 1 in 8000 chance of encountering a shiny to the point in the decade+ I've been playing Pokemon I've only encountered 3 shiny's in the wild, yet in the month I've been playing Reborn I've encountered, and caught, triple that amount. So, to finish this up just how much has the shiny rate been increased? Quote
Combat Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 While I don't think there is an official number, most people say that it's about one for every hundred, so 1/100. That's just an estimation of course, it could be lower or higher. Quote
YinYang9705 Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 Well that would explain how i found several in rapid succession. Quote
Imperial Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 To be exact, the probability is 700/65536, which is equal to 1,07 % usually rounded to 1% Quote
Ironbound Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Shinies are very common in this game, really. More so if you have the Shiny Charm. If you breed for perfect IVs and stuff, there's an excellent chance that a few will be shiny per set of, I don't know, fifty or so eggs that you may hatch. I must have a trophy box full of shinies with subpar IVs that didn't make the cut but were too pretty to discard. Quote
Samalet Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I love how many of the shinies are recolored. Sableye, Arcanine and Solrock look really good! Quote
