It's because of two factors, like I was lazy to actually write something heavy in plot, and at this point most of the readers know Reborn's plot, there is a lot of Let's Play in YouTube or a lot of plot-driven story runs in this section. Even so, I'm glad someone is enjoying it, and the people comment make me more willing to continue playing the quite tedious early game of Reborn (Mostly because I already played it a lot of times). Posted October 1, 2015 Author Share Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) UPDATE#5: EASIEST GYM Finished the Aqua plotline and I actually tried to softreset for a shiny Carvanha, but one with AWESOME IV's was chosen before a shiny one appeared. I also went out of my way to get a Cubchoo as early as possible. Finally the eternal mining for a Sun Stone... Which ended very fast! My very first mining stone contained one. Trained both of tmy new catches and Lilligant up to par. Fern was a scumbag not hard bar his Roserade, that thing is deadly and easily dispatched like 3 of my pokémon. Cain didn't put any kind of resistance. The psychiatric hospital/orphan house/whatever wasn't hard either, I was glad for the free experience. Finally, Shade... Okay, Charge Beam Ampharos bossed this place with +3 SpA, it only died because it's slow and was taking hits most turn but it easily one shot everything, when he finally fell to Rotom Sharpedo finished the job. Even so Cain is awesome. So I went to help Amaria, that wring us to... ZEL and his goddamnit PULSE Muk, that bitch easily destroyed half of my team... luckily Quiver Dance is OP and Lilligant destroyed the rest of it. Now in Aphophyll, Cal was a joke, rain from climate made his team weak and I could easily sweep through it. Victoria wasn't that difficult either, Blaziken destroyed her if I'm not mistaken. Hodr finally evolved! Now for Kiki... it started great, Lilligant with 3 Quiver Dance murdered Machamp and Gallade, and Butterfree still shows he is MVP material by killing Toxicroak, Lucario and Hitmonlee. At this point I though it was just Medicham vs four and that would be easy... WRONG, Ice Punch hax froze and killed Sudowoodo, and both Arcanine and Blaziken where pushed aside like they were nothing, but for Arceus sake new MVP Ampharos came back to the rescue with some neat Static hax. Also, I abbandoned Heather, it is no secret I hate her and she wasn't ever worth saving, it's obvious that Corey never hit her when she was young because damn girl, your attitude is as bad as it can be. So I went directly for Sirius, this battle wasn't hard, I wast just rolfstomp gim with raw sheer power. After that came the second part of the railnet with a lot of new items. And finally the Secret Hideout, but before going to Serra: Got the Good Rod. Catched a Skrelp. Catched the Ralts. EV train both. Got a new Shiny Caterpie with better IV's so it's in my team. Got everyone to level 47. Beat Bennet. Got everyone to level 49. So only Serra was left... SCREW IT! It toke me like 10 soft reset or more to beat her, my original strategy that I designed with Vinny failed badly so I had to believe in the hax, and so it was done, I won when the evasion didn't kick in and it was a cute "Arcanine vs the world". Close Combat killed Cryogonal and Aurorus, Crunch destroyed Jynx and Heat Wave melted Glaceon and Vanilluxe, only Froslass survived or God Hodr but was easily dispatched thanks to Ingrowing and it's Sturdy. At this point I killed all trainers in Route 1 and caught 2 pokémon, a subpar Swablu and a goddamn sexy Beldum with EP14. Cain was also destroyed. Here I EV grinded both of my new catches and evolved them. blablabla Gossip Garveoir is bad, she steals the Amethyst pendant and all the plot between Radomus, Elias and Adrienn. Also, caught a Sigilyph. Farceus never had a chance, heck, he didn't KO one of my pokémon, Perish Song from Altaria in the first turn and then switch between my pokes until it fainted. EV train Sigilyph and all my pokes until Lv59. Here I guess I f*cked it, like, the level cap for this gym is 60 and it's buffed to 65 after it, so I grinded up, but when Radomus lead with a Lv53 pokémon I realized I made this too easy, anyway, only Sharpedo fainted here because it has paperthin defenses, but most 0HKO or 2HKO... Probably I will spend less time grinding from now on. Also I got both Sunny Day & Rain Dance. Both of the cult puzzle are bullsh*t. Saved the little girl, like a boss. Iola Valley puzzle is bullsh*t. After hours in the Adventurine Woods I got the Tech Glasses, that means I fixed all my pokémon EV's, bellow is a chart of how many berries I bought. Also I grinded everyone to level 64. Dragon116 told me 3 steps was too much for Sislligant, go Broziken did it in two: Blaziken used Bulk Up. Blaziken sweeps through Luna with Hi Jump Kick and Blaze Kick. Really Ame, nerfing the gyms make this too easy, since Serra I don't have any kind of challenge and Serra was hard because my team couldn't break her field. Got that Dive HM, when I'm gonna use it, I don't know. Also, the little kid sticker quest was pure gold. I found Aya, so now is time to find Hardy. From Cain to Aya:"Use protection." Best quote in all the game, hands down. No really, I can't understand why Cain hated Aya some episodes before, those two are a joy to watch. Also I want to marry tease Ciel too. M3G4 T3RR4 is awesome, I don't understand the hate and she tease Ciel too. Found Hardy is Amaria's/Titania's house, or mansion, or whatever... Here we see a way happier Amaria and Titania is awesome too. So I beat to crap out of the shard's clown, now all my team is Lv67 and I got a shards stock for a lifetime. Some movepool where revamped thanks to the tutors. And finally Samson... if Dragon116 wanted it to be done in one single step here is how: Crobat use Acrobatics, it destroy everything. ZEL backstory was actually quite interesting also like Adrienn I though it was a girl. Meet one of the most hated guys in Reborn, Blake, and I don't understand the hate, yes, he is an scumbag who wouldn't care more if all the city starved to death, but he isn't like, insufferable. About the battle against him... the duo of Speed Booster Blaziken & Sharpedo destroyed him. Also I got the last sticker I can get. Mewtwo was way harder than my initial plan, I though a simple Perish Song was his doom, but no that bitch could 0HKO my bulkier pokemon like it was nothing (Altaria), luckily he didn't destroy Lilligant in one hit and Sleep Powder + Quiver Dance strategy proved victorious again. Finally Terra, who was close to being Noel 2.0... but Lilligant only KO 5 of her pokémon and failed to do so with Garchomp, but well, Perish Song is a thing and Garchomp was destroyed too. I guess I have my type charts wrong with Metagross, Ampharos and Sudowoodo. Lilligant is the biggest sis in the run, Ambipom after a mediocre early game now is a boss thanks to the move tutor and Altaria is my greatest wall (Better than Dragalge and Ampharos to my surprise), also Perish Song saved my ass more than once. ________________________ UPDATE#15: EARLY GAME MVP SAVED MY ASS So now I have to go back and save Amaria and Titania. Down the Waterfall I go... Oh hi Victoria, I haven't see you since EP7 more or less. And Titania, famished and all, proves to be someone you don't want to be on her bad side by killing in cold blood some Meteors. Also, explain me again by do you only have yor Aegislash with you... Well, I'm going to talk breafly about the Water Treatment Center... I HATE IT, like gosh, how I was suppoused to know where that Swalot, it was way too hidden for me to see it, add that this place is a lot of trial and error and you will never want to be back here. At least I got the Blue Moon Ice Cream scene from Titania, which was worth it. Also for PULSE Swalot... Metagross killed it, plain and simple. blablabla plot and beat Taka because he doesn't deserve the Meteor's shit, and he is a cool guy. And for the mansion raid... Believe me, I wiped at the scumbag double battle (Fern + Blake) once because they both double teamed me and Flobot didn't do anything with her Hippowdon, but beat them in my second try... Solaris and the Oderly felt way easier, no problem at all. May we kill Fern after the Flobot scene, like he doesn't deserve to be alive at all. And the final gym leader Seel, I beat a lot of wild ones like Julia told me until one gave me the badge Ciel... okay, I got cooky with type advantages and though this gym was a joke, a joke so big that my 6th member was Butterfree because Vinny and I concluded that it was the maximum disrepect for Ciel. Metagross started killing Togekiss, Noivern and Archeops, but died in hands of Gliscor. Gliscor was destroyed by Beartic, but he was killed in the hands of Talonflame. And here a bunch of bad missplay if my part (Kept forgetting that Mega Altaria is fairy) finished my Ampharos (Damaged by Talonflame), Sudowoodo and Crobat, so it was basically Mega Altaria (With full health) vs shitty Butterfree, for me I was done, but the early game MVP did the same strategy that the early game taught him, Sleep Powder and then sweep, a Quiver Dance was enough to kill the dragon and bring me the glory!
