You get scatterbug at level 17-21.So you miss out on gust and psybeam. Vivillion also cannot take a special attack unlike butterfree. I just re-did corey and my butterfree lived a +2 air cutter with 6hp.I would say butterfree is more potent.Hurricane is very useful but i prefer bug buzz.
