Well, if you clicked on the topic, you know pretty much exactly what it entails.

To give some background, there's this mod which has a huge map of Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls series, and has 13 Civs based on the 10 playable races and 3 others, unless my count is off. It has a setting to have them all start in the exact locations on the map where their capitals would be.

A setting which I am totally not using. This run is far more chaotic than that.

This will be done by albums of imgur pictures, and unless there's a period where like nothing happens, each album will depict 50 turns of gameplay. I'll basically update as and when I play, and also when I get inspiration to write captions for each pic they're funny in my head, I promise

I would play another 50 turns right now just to get another update in, but last time I played Civ at like half 1 in the morning I didn't sleep.

But I'll do AT LEAST another update tomorrow. Probably more; once I start playing Civ, it's rather hard to stop.

I do love Fire Emblem, so I'm definitely not complaining about the comparison. Hell, I love Fire Emblem so much that... Well, lets just say there's a handful of Civs I'm REALLY hoping made it in game.

But yeah, Bandits are getting a lot more of a threat than I had anticipated when I installed the mod.

I am liking this so far. Deal with the bandits and produce more soldiers after settlers are done with. But you have than enough firepower to go for new units/bulidings. I don't what am I talking about because not a civ player but bandits, try deal with closest yet largest one after producing more units.

This actually made me feel interested in Civilization... Who knows? Maybe I could try and play it one of these days. And if I do, it will be thanks to you ;)

Haha, I love the game, I'm always glad to get other people interested in it plus all my friends who play are actually good at it so if you start playing I'd have someone I can actually beat.

Reading this is just making me want to play Civ 5 again. Preferably with most these mods(apart from the Elder Scrolls one).

Also, if it makes you feel better, I am much, much worse than you at Civilization.

The next update will have all the mods listed for gameplay stuff, and then after I've met all the civs, I'll list the mods I use there, including those which didn't make it in.

And haha, chin up! Most of the comments from when I posted this on Reddit were along the lines of 'This is really funny but you're so BAD'. But most of them were constructive so hey, might actually learn to play better as a result.

This is just perfect. I am even more motivated to have Cthulhu make friends due to this.

Haha, glad you're liking it! This Cthulhu mod has really worked out well for me, especially when I could've rolled plenty of way less interesting civs to start as.

Great, now I'll need to have that song playing on repeat whenever I'm reading this LP. The experience just wouldn't seem complete without it.

I feel ya'. Next time I'm writing up all the captions, I'm gonna have to be listening to it.

Yeah, y'know how I said Part 4 was all about Stabby-Friendship? I take it back, Part 5 has SO MUCH MORE of that. Also, I meet not one, but TWO Civs who will no doubt be archnemeses in the future. And one potential ally. As usual, the update is below, and will be added to the OP!

If you want a tip, try to be very selective with the content you end up putting in the album. Long entries usually scare people, as they don't know If it will be worth their time and they'll be more likely to not to start reading it at all. I usually took about 100 screenshots per chapter, but they ended up having between 15 and 25 after planning how I would tell an interesting story.

I'll look at yours later, I always enjoy screenshot LPs. If I do another one, I'll probably take your advice, but with this one, I think the long rambling updates are part of it's charm. Sure, it'd probably be more popular if I made it way shorter, but to people who already like this one probablyl ike the current style. Either way, thanks for the tip!

I for example like "long ramblings" more than the short ones...if they're interesting of course (like this one ^_^).

If i can ask do you plan to "betray" Lu Bu in the long run or will he be Lord Chtulhu friend forever?

Lord Cthulhu fights for his friends is intending to be loyal, so unless Lu Bu does a 180, he'll be our friend forever! That's the idea, at least.
