Zane0144 16 Posted June 12, 2015 Share Posted June 12, 2015 Alright, it's been a while, but my Rock mono is finally on the move (The update with Nerfed tangrowth helped) So now after I finally got onix after beating Julia I went in to instant hard mode. I had pretty much SpD + HP ev trained Onix vs Tangrowth which I still only won with a lot of Hax. (Dragon Breath para + Curse + praying for no mega drains.) After that nightmare I had no idea how I would ever beat Florina, nonetheless Fern. Then I found something in the game corner that helped immensely so introducing..... Onix Sturdy Rock Tomb Dragon Breath Curse SUBSTITUTE * With this bad boy I swept both Fern and Florina. Sudowoodo would come out to nerf the first mon with a Rock Tomb, then Onix comes in para's them, and proceeds to safely Curse behind it's nice sub. (It also helps that both fern and florina's first mons were physical) After the Maractus was down Florina did exactly what I wanted her to, went straight to Breloom with my sub up so she could use Spore and I 2hko'd it. (It also luckily used Mach punch first turn so it didn't break the sub with Giga Drain). Fern was pretty simple with this strategy as well. Now I can FINALLY move on.
