Tempo17 Posted May 31, 2015 Share Posted May 31, 2015 So when I was training to get a malamar the pokemon went through the process of evolving but didn't actually evolve. I know that you have to flip the ds upside down in the original games but I'm sure that doesn't work here. So how do you actually get a malamar. Secondly spiky shield in this game works like king's shield where it drops the attack stat harshly. Also it is prone to failure at random times. So have you guys experienced any other problems? berlyda Posted May 31, 2015 Share Posted May 31, 2015 Spiky Shield failing is a known bug, it happens with all of the variations of Protect. It's because the game doesn't reset the counter when you select a different move, so it thinks you're still using it consecutively. I didn't know about it behaving like King's Shield though.
