Ghost Monotype Run

In this run, I can only use ghost type Pokemon (Or Pokemon with a dual ghost typing). However, I will use an HM slave early on for purposes such as cut, Rock smash, etc. It was voted by the users out there, and I'll do my best to not disappoint. So without further ado, here is Pokemon Reborn: Monotype Ghost run!

====================================================

Was this the best decision? I have yet to figure out for myself as I run my fingers through my brown hair and look down at my feet. I left my family for this new life in Reborn City. I decided to become a Pokemon trainer. Much to my surprise, my grandmother supported me. Ever since the apocalypse, things hadn't been the same. I lost my mother, father and brother amidst the chaos. When I had no one else, grandmother was there, doing everything she could to make ends meet for us. Despite all of the struggles and hardships that fell upon us, she wanted me to live my life to the fullest. Perhaps this could be my chance?

'We are now arriving in Peridot War--BOOM!" I don't remember much about the incident, but I fully came to my senses when I was standing by Amethyst on the outside of the train station. The train had ignited into flames, causing a rather catastrophic explosion. I was one of few survivors. Why Arceus spared my life, I'm not certain. While Amethyst was getting ready to escort me to the Grand Hall, a rather eccentric, outgoing girl made her way to us. She looked like a rather preppy high school cheerleader, but with forest green hair. It became rather clear that her name was Julia, and while she liked explosions, the Peridot train bombing wasn't of her doing.

"So are you here to challenge the Reborn League?" she asked excitedly as she looked at me. Amethyst had went on ahead to the Grand Hall as I was stuck wondering the ward, looking at the helpless, lost, confused, angry and upset people. I had walked away from Julia after her question had been answered. Hearing the shock and dismay in the citizen's voices made it clear that this wasn't an everyday occurrence. One girl had even lost her boyfriend in the explosion. I even had a girl give me a potion, even though I didn't have any Pokemon. A few minutes of walking led me to what the locals called the Grand Hall. It seemed rather nice for such a rough looking part of the city. It even had some wild grass on the outside. I wonder if wild Pokemon lived in there.

From there, I met a girl named Victoria. She seemed rather nice and helpful as she led me into the building and to where Amethyst was waiting for us. A brief conversation between the two women ended with Victoria being allowed to choose a starter of her own, but I was given the first choice. Following Amethyst, I went into a room where there were a lot of Pokeballs. She would explain that whoever I chose from these Pokemon would be my starter. A lot of internal debate went about in my head on who would be chosen. A popular choice would be Torchic or Chimchar, Turtwig or Treecko, Mudkip or Totodile... however, my heart was set on another. One not many would consider to be good. A rather unique, odd Pokemon. When I made my decision, the Pokeball was given to me and I released the creature inside.

A male Frillish. A water type, but a ghost secondary typing. It wasn't a 'regular' starter, but he was my starter. I had named him Pringles. Pringles are great to snack on. Not that I would eat my little Frillish, mind you.

When I went back downstairs, I waited as Victoria was escorted to choose her starter. As I waited, a rather eccentric young man walked over to me, and began to flirt with me? At least that's what I thought anyways. Of course, we didn't converse much as my first Pokemon battle began. The man sent out a Nidoran male, and I sent out Pringles. As many beginner battles, it took a little bit for the new Pokemon to get their feet wet...er...tentacles wet. Pringles' ghost typing threw the Nidoran off as it couldn't do much else than leer at me. I easily obtained the victory by repeatedly using Bubble. When the battle was over, the man led me over to the healing station in the building. I had a rather certain feeling that I'll be using her services. When Pringles gained his strength back, Amethyst and Victoria had returned, only for the main, named Cain, began flirting about yet again. He was a rather baroque character. Victoria initiated a challenge to which I accepted. Long story short. Pringles wiped the floor with her Tepig.

After the battle, I was given a Pokedex and given 5 Pokeballs before being sent on my way. Leaving the Grand Hall, I looked around, wondering where to go next. I knew that I had to challenge the gym leader, but I knew all too well that Pringles wouldn't be ready for such a feat. For now, we had to train. What's better than the outside grass of the Grand Hall? Perhaps we could find some new friends along the way as well? Only time will tell.

Note, that I did a lot of grinding, but nothing else story-wise has been completed. So next time, we will meet Fern and take on the factory.

A Ghost Mono! Nice never seen one, well good luck you'll need it as your opponents will be: Fern (Grass), Aster&Eclipse (Elekid) and Julia (Electric) and you have only 1 Water Pokemon.

Pretty great intro! Good luck. Reminds me of something I once heard....now what was it again?

Something about a foxxy hacker breaking into computers and leaving behind some strange things if you look around. I dunno probably just a rumor.
