"LAND HO!" The pirate sitting at the top of the mast shouted.

"LOOK MEN!" Asgall immediately responded. "We're nearing Sigetto!"

The captain let the ship's wheel go, the sailor at his side taking it immediately afterwards. Asgall begins to shout his commands, something you've grown used to hearing over the past weeks.

"Alright men, prepare. Check our pantry to see what supplies we can take with us and what we'll have to throw away. More importantly, make sure you've space to ready yer weapons. Good chance we'll be runnin' into wolves at the shore, an' I'd rather not have any of yer sorry fellows dead jus' yet, aye?"

"We're gettin' closer. Everyone better be prepare for when we're ashore!"

((We'll be reaching sigetto after both players have posted))

Roland adjusted his quiver and his belt before picking his bow up, his fingers running over the familiar carvings as he looked down to make sure all was in order with the bowstring. He gave it a light thrum and, satisfied, picked up his equipment and moved toward the gangplank. He looked around him for Richter and Stig, prepared to disembark in his homeland.

Richter held the whip in his hands. It was light and gave him a feeling of confidence. It was in perfect condition, so he strapped it back to his belt. He looked over at the ship and saw Roland picking up his equipment. Seemed he was ready, too. Richter looked over to the land and steeled himself for the journey.

As all crewmembers step out of the ship you gingerly walk into the clearly abandoned port city of Sadullos, weapons in hand, expecting the worst to strike at any moment.

A twin set of howls is heard from afar, and the sound of combat can be heard. "The wolves must be fightin' something, captain!" the first mate, Sting, shouts out as he drops down from the ship. "What should we do?"

Asgall twirls his twin battleaxes in his hands and glances at his companion. "Whaddya think? Anyone figthin' the beasts is our ally, or at least a decent distraction. Get ready, men! We're rushing in!" And with that, Asgall rushes forward into battle, with you following soon afterwards...

Focus, my lady. Her instructor used to say. Nothing other than you, your sword, and your opponent. cast all your thoughts away. Bride found it humorous that that memory was stealing her attention now. The lady of the Glass Keep stood inside the remains of a tavern. To the south, the whole wall was torn down and splintered by some brute force. Two werewolves glared at her from outside of the tavern. Any tables, stools, or furniture the bar had were nothing but trash and rubble on the floor. The bar counter was mostly intact.

Behind it, Bride had her longsword unsheathed and a violin floating next to her. It's case was open and sprawled next to her. As the two beasts rushed at her, she raised one hand off of her weapon's hilt, and made a quick movement with her fingers. The violin next to her played a sharp note, and the air grew hot. The fur of the werewolves combusted on fire, and the beasts whimpered and scurried backwards.

Serves you right. She looked over at her arm. Her battle dress had been torn at her right arm. The sigil of her house, an Imp holding a glass spear over a blue background, had been ripped. I'll have to find materials to sew it back up. Where her skin showed there was also a cut from the werewolves' claws. However if it hurt, Bride didn't feel it. Pain drew away your concentration, and she couldn't let herself be distracted.

With a quick movement she jumped over the counter, raised her sword and slashed at one of the two werewolves. It blocked with it's large steel like claws. Her back was to the old wood wall, one werewolf in front of her and the other one a bit behind it. If only the other one wasn't here, I could make short work of this mutt. Lady Glas frowned. More often than not, she didn't get what she wanted.

Roland dashed forward with startling agility, following Asgall toward the sound of combat reverberating in the distance. He took three arrows out of his hip quiver, holding them in his right hand as he ran with his cloak billowing behind him. We must get there in time, he thought to himself. Those werewolves can easily overwhelm a lone fighter, and their howls are bound to attract more unwanted attention. The archer was now right on Asgall's heels as they approached the battlefield, ready to begin fighting as the tips of his arrows glinted in the dim light of the eclipse.

Richter ran with his comrades through the empty streets, and heard the werewolves' howls, making his skin crawl. They were both strong and agile(in his experience). One on its own is manageable, but two is overwhelming for one person. It all depends on the skill of the warrior, but more often than not, the person is wounded at the end of the battle. The whip seemed to notice the werewolves' presence as well, as it was faintly glowing to the darkness of their souls. He ran as fast as he could, and was getting close as well, because the werewolves' howls were close.

  • 2 weeks later...

Asgall doesn't bother yelling commands. Moving with amazing speed, the wall of a man surges forward, twin axes striking cleanly one of the werewolves as it prepared to attack the noblewoman. The creature is thrown back, now sporting two large gashes in it's chest, and roars with bloodlust-filled fury. Asgall's men immediately get in position and begin pelting the other werewolf with gunshots, to moderate effect. The creatures seem wary now, and begin glancing around them to define an escape route.

"Lads, if they escape, prepare to move" Asgall exclaims, twirling his axes in his hands as he stares deep into the creature he bled.

The werewolf roars and whimpers due to it's wounds, his companion howling in unison. It's clear that soon the others will be upon the party; Time is of the essence.

Roland followed Asgall forward, amazed that the huge warrior was able to move with such speed. Time seemed to slow for him as he fluidly nocked the bow, feeling the string tense underneath the notch in the arrow. He looked at the chair in front of him, then at the werewolf Asgall had wounded. One, he thought as he looked at the wolf's eye. Two, he thought as he saw the wolf's throat exposed as it went to howl. Three, he thought as he remembered where the heart of the beast lay. The archer moved as gracefully as a mountain lion as he propelled himself upward off of the decrepit barstool, hanging in the air like Cupid of old. The twang of the bowstring and the hum of three arrows were heard before the archer hit the ground, rolling forward with three more arrows already removed from his quiver and ready to fire.

Lady Glas focused on the werewolf closest to her, and grinned as it bled from the two gashes in it's chest. Howl in pain hell wolf, see if they will answer your cries. Then she blinked twice. Those gashes weren't made by her sword. She dropped her concentration and finally noticed her rescuers. A sigh of relief escaped her lips. But it was followed immediately by disappointment. They looked... Pirate like... Dirty, uncouth.

Either way these were the men she was waiting for.

"Noble..." Bride searched for a more fitting compliment. "Rather, bold men! Pray, help me in this battle against the werewolves. Help me for the love you hold for the Byrne family. I am Lady Glas, and I am here under their command. I've been awaiting you all. Let us destroy these beasts." When she was finished, she drew her attention to the instrument that floated next to her. She commanded it once more to play a sharp note sending another wave of heat towards the werwolves. Her focus returned once more, and gripping her sword with both hands she lunged at the werewolf closest to her.
