KimTheNukeJongUn
'sup dudes and dudettes (what is this, the 90s?) My name's Tanner, you can call me Kim (lots of people do this...), Nuke, or simply Tanner. I'm one of those guys that lurk 'round a while before slowly creeping into the community, but I still consider myself new. I'm a pretty awesome guy if I do say so myself, and now I'll be one of those guys that posts a lot about myself! I'm 19 years old (until the 25th) and love reading, writing, listening to music, and of course, playing games. My favorite book series include the Sevenwaters series, The Bridei Chronicles, and the Inheritance Cycle (the Eragon books). I don't do much writing any more, but back when I did I had started working on a fanfiction for Avatar (as in the animated show, not the movie with blue people), though I stopped writing it a while ago due to writer's block. I've been thinking about working on a fanfiction for the Eragon books that I've had ideas swirling around my head for, but so far I've only gotten the Author's Note and first paragraph down... I'm not a very quick-working guy. Music-wise I listen mostly to underground rap/hip-hop, the kinds that don't go on and on about money, drugs, gangs, guns, violence, women, etc., and more of the kinds that have actual meaning or tell stories. My favorite artist by far is K-Rino, a Houston-based artist that is by far one of the best storytellers I've ever listened to. Check him out if you get a chance, I recommend starting with Annihilation of the Evil Machine by him. Game-wise is where it starts to get good! Up until after Gen. 3, I owned pretty much every Pokemon game (not counting the ones like Mystery Dungeon, Pinball, etc., just the official storyline-based ones that go: Defeat enemy team, 8 Gym Leaders, and E4, then do some end-game). After that I've slowly but surely acquired one game of each generation and completed them as much as I can. Past the Pokemon series, I've played through most of the Sly Cooper series when I was younger, which I really enjoyed! The storyline was awesome, the missions were intense at times, and the gameplay overall was 10/10 for me. If you're reading this far and didn't see the tag, yes my title is a reference to a certain game. Up until 2007 I played RuneScape, which was the first MMORPG that I had ever played, and then I moved on to another game that I was playing off and on during that time: World of Warcraft. I played WoW starting a few months before The Burning Crusade launched, and from that point until the end of BC I was a pretty casual player. I sucked, didn't do much but screw around, and actually thought Feral DPS was good at that time (it really wasn't). It wasn't until Wrath launched that I decided I was going to buckle down and get to work, and by mid-expansion I was somewhat a terror on my server. I often went on solo raids in Silvermoon City to rile up some of the old RPPvP guilds that got lazy, to give them something to do. It was fun for all! I stopped playing seriously mid-way through Cataclysm and came to a halt near the end of Mists of Pandaria, and right now I don't have a good enough computer to give Warlords of Draenor a try. Finally, I often play League of Legends even though I'm not that great at it. I've followed the competitive scene since the Season 3 Summer Split, and I've done a bit for the Challenger scene by writing some articles for ESL America and I've done volunteer work for smaller leagues such as ALCS (Amateur League Championship Series; defunct after its first season), and NACL (North American Challenger League, worked for 2 seasons, no longer). In ALCS I didn't do much except moderate the TwitchTV chat room for the stream, but in NACL I handled many of the reddit threads, and attempted to keep their website updated with things like game statistics before it broke because someone was dumb tried to install a plugin that they shouldn't have. I also moderated the chat on their stream and made sure all of the bot commands were kept up-to-date so viewers were informed on things like who was casting, the reddit thread for the day, and the schedule. And finally (for real this time), some odd things about me: I love it when someone has at least some grasp of proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Yeah, even on the internet! I make mistakes occasionally, and probably made quite a few mistakes here, but it's at least readable and structured correctly! I'll throw in one more odd thing; back in school, I was one of the few people that actually liked math. At least, until Geometry... I hate Geometry. I stopped taking math after Algebra 2, which was about 3 years ago, so I hope you guys don't give me any Algebra homework. ._. If you haven't realized so far, once I get really into typing something up, I find it pretty difficult to stop. Anyway, I think I've gotten it all out of my system right now, but if anyone has any questions I won't mind answering them! If you've read this far, kudos to you! You've stepped almost completely into my mind.
Deleted User
Well you certainly gave us a lot to go on! Welcome to the Reborn community bro. Be sure to read the rules to the left and I'd recommend also taking a look at the FAQ if you have some spare time. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10638 If you have any questions, you can ask the Admins and Global Mods, or myself and whoever it is will be happy to help. What are some other possibly somewhat more known artists you are into? There are plenty of people who play LoL quite a bit, so check out the Gaming General forum too. Sounds like someone's a bit salty. Sorry not sorry, I don't actually meant that, I just had to get a salt joke in there. Bad jokes aside welcome. If you need help with basically anything feel free to ask. Like Jerry already said, reading the rules is a great start.

I'll definitely give those a good reading, thanks! As for more known artists, I started off with Eminem when I was around 11 years old. I loved his wordplay and how he switched up his flow most of all. In the past few years I've picked up on a few more artists such as Canibus, who has an interesting project out there called Poet Laureate Infinity. He created 5 layers of 200 bars each (so 1,000 total), and the theory behind it is you can mix the bars up in any order and you'll always come out with a song that has some sort of meaning or deep truth to it. The project is mostly for fans that have mixing/chopping skills and after about a year of that project being out, they had over 300 hours worth of new songs made out of bars from that project, each unique in their own way. Very interesting concept, in my opinion! Another decently-known one that I can think of would be Hopsin. He's a really unique artist that used to be signed with Ruthless Records (the label Easy E started) before leaving after getting treated horribly. He went on to make Funk Volume, an independent label that's made for the more unique artists out there that other labels wouldn't look twice at. Over the years he got a lot of attention and is pretty big now! And finally, this isn't really a single artist, but I'm a sucker for the Epic Rap Battles of History crew and guest stars! Other than the above ^ I only listen to a few other artists that aren't very well-known at all. Sounds like someone's a bit salty. Sorry not sorry, I don't actually meant that, I just had to get a salt joke in there. Bad jokes aside welcome. If you need help with basically anything feel free to ask. KimTheNukeJongUn
We, are going to get along just fine my friend. The only other one I want to get your opinion on is, Atmosphere. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with them, so I'll have to give them a listen! I looked through their former touring members and actually do recognize one of their names, though. I remember Eyedea from some old Scribble Jam battles I was looking up a few years ago. Edit: I forgot to mention two more names above of more well-known artists I listen to: Dan Bull and Boyinaband. They're a pretty awesome pair, and their solo music is just as good! Deleted User
Man, that was pretty deep.. I'm definitely going on an Atmosphere-spree tonight or tomorrow! If you want deep, I recommend the album 'The Family Sign' and 'When Life Give you Lemons, you Paint that S*** Gold' His older albums are quite a bit different, not as deep messaged but many folks prefer them. If you're gonna go through those, look at 'Lucy Ford' first.

Anyways, you seem like a fun person (with exceptional taste too) and I look forward to talking with you. Welcome welcome! Man, I don't know what I'm more excited about... Finally playing through KH 2 (Final Mix version, at that!) after several years, or playing through Birth by Sleep (Final Mix!) version on a bigger screen and digging in to that new world they added! There's supposed to be another secret episode as well, but I'm not sure if that's just the added world or not. Will have to find out next month! Thanks for the warm welcomes, everyone. Flynn
I'm excited for the Data battles in KH II FM. I have an obsession with good boss battles or hard fights that severely challenge you, and just watching YouTube videos of Data Axel, Data Saix, Data Larxene, DATA ROXAS, and the rest, it just... I think about it and it gets me hyped. BBS definitely has the absolute best music and my favourite story line. Luckily, I live in California so I'm going to try to go to the early release event at Downtown Disney, Disneyland.

Now I wish I wasn't afraid of driving so I could go down and attend it. >.< I haven't heard of the Data Battles yet, I might look them up soon or I'll let it be a surprise. And yeah, the music in BBS was just top notch. My favorite part about it was the Final Episode + Blank Points, in my opinion. The fight was pretty challenging, and Blank Points connected so many things together for me.
Chase
RuneScape. ERBoH. the Eragon series. You can stay....anyways, welcome. I'm Hilda, another of the GMs here. Flynn
Data battles are where you can challenge the Organization in battles far more difficult than those in the story line. They each possess new abilities and more aggressive fighting styles. They're crazy hectic and crazy fun. There's more to it than that, but the rest comes as a surprise! But yeah, if you DO end up wanting to attend, on Tuesday at exactly 1:00 P.M PST, find the Kingdom Hearts Facebook page and they'll give a link offering 50 tickets (this is the last chance) to the event. Make sure to grab only one! Grabbing multiple will disqualify your ticket. The event is on December 1st. I'll be there, so let's chill and eat overpriced Disney food

It's a new job for me, so it wouldn't look too good on me to request days off. I'll just have to keep an eye out for release events in the future and make plans for that. GotWala
Ahh, hello there Tanner! While I can already see that the others have helped you out as it stands, I'm almost always available as both a friendly face and a good listener! I have to start listening to what you guys have, because it's right up my alley, haha! It proves that even when I think I've listened to about everything under the sun, there is still more to be found. As for writing, I haven't done much fan fiction since 5 years ago, and it was about Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of The Lions. I've read the Inheritance books, but I'm actually not familiar with the others. Overall, thank you very much for expanding my taste in music and for reminding me that I should indulge upon an old hobby of mine, haha (Though I should probably try to write one of my various IP's...)! What did you think of the Inheritance series? As for the others, they're pretty good if you're into historical fantasy stories. The Sevenwaters series and The Bridei Chronicles are both written by Juliet Marillier. The Sevenwaters books are mainly set in ancient Ireland and covers about four generations in the family of Sevenwaters throughout the whole series. The Bridei Chronicles tells the story of Bridei the 1st of the Picts and his foster father, Broichan (a druid). Both are very awesome series if you give them a chance! And I'm glad you like the music we were discussing
GotWala
Ahh, I enjoyed the Inheritance series a decent bit, though sadly in isn't my favorite, haha. As for the other series you mentioned, I'll definitely have to check those out! And once more, thank you for introducing me to that music and those two series inadvertently, haha!
