Commander Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 I kind of create characters like Surge. I've had character ideas I've absolutely hated, but I don't quit on stuff. Usually, I keep redrafting until it feels like a real person and not someone who is going to be a pain to play as. Why? is probably the question I use the most to flesh out a character especially antagonists/villains.

(I'm sorry, but I don't really know the verse that these were made for, so it's rather hard for me to go and look at them with my past RPing experiences and not call them Sueish, even though in their particular verse they might be considered 'normal')

Commander Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 The best way to create a character is to start with the personality as that's probably the most important. Backstory usually isn't that important to do imo as it's something that can be fleshed out over time. Heck, I've done character with very little backstory and they turn out fine.
