"early game mon availability"
I will definitely appreciate that when it comes out.
I'm a first time Reborn player running it pretty much blind, and I gotta say, Reborn's early game Pokemon selection reads like the top 10 worst pokemon Gamefreak has ever designed. I looked at one of the encounter spreadsheets, and I immediately notice that the pokemon selection in the early game is as unaesthetically pleasing as possible without creating fakemons. Klinks, bronzor, vanillite, budew, cherubi, trubbish, honestly it's hard to make a team that looks good when all the grass, steel, and ice types are the ugliest possible pokemon of their types.
Looking forward to just starting from scratch and maybe using some of the cooler (if not very useful) mons. I'm not asking for more strategically viable mon selection, I understand that part of the difficulty is giving us poor early game selection, but can my bad options at least look cool?
Also, feel free to reach out to me if you want a blind review from someone who used to be deep in the smogon OU scene. In case you want the opinions of someone who doesn't know pretty much anything about Reborn playing Reborn for the first time.
