I updated to E6 from a completed E5 file and I was exploring old towns to see the changes. When I talked to the guy in front of Helix cave in Redcliff town it added the "Cave of Scriptures" sidequest, but I already did that sidequest and now as far as I can tell I have no way to get it marked as completed.
Edit: other issues from having updated from E5 include dialogue in Addenfall town that was from earlier in the story, talking to Aderyn at the exit of Route 2 as if it's the first time meeting her and this adding a main story quest that I can't get marked as completed, and talking to a guy in a house on Route 2 which adds the quest "Man of the Sea" as completed, but the first part of the quest (find jarred in Celeste City) is still incomplete

I do have the beta version, but my issue is that the updater doesn't work on my chromebook. So I hoped when the "official" version came out, I'd just be able to redownload the updated game.

Thanks but the issue's not running it, I've ran previous versions and the beta version with linux and it works fine. The issue is that when I download the game the files aren't there, and I was wondering how to fix that and if anyone else is having the same issue.

All it does is download another updater. I'm pretty sure that's just a my-computer issue (since I'm on a chromebook) but I was hoping there's another way to get those files.

Whenever I download the linux version of Reborn, I get a .zip file with two files inside: one called version and one called updater. Does anyone know why this is and how I can get the linux game files?

Use the Mac version instead

I’m able to edit the .rb files just with a text editor

Use the Linux terminal to run them (for reborn you can use the Linux version of the game but for rejuvenation the Linux version of the game crashed for me so I use the Mac version with the .appimage from reborn)

If you’re still having the problem - which version (Linux/Mac/Windows) are you using? I got a similar error (don’t remember if it was exactly the same though) using the Linux version so I just used the Mac version instead and the error didn’t occur.

I was also having that problem but ended up using the original scripts file and the game worked; however, I’m not earning money from trainer battles even though I applied everything else in the patch. Anyone know a solution?

The Linux version uses the .AppImage file to run; launch it with that

As the title says, whenever I go into options and use the left/right arrow keys to change a setting, I get the error below. So far the error hasn't come up anywhere else, but all I've done so far is get past the beginning dialogue and save. Does anyone know a fix?

Hi, I just downloaded Rejuvenation but when I try to start it the error in the picture pops up. One thing I was going to try was to find the file "kernel32" and delete it because that's worked for similar errors in the past, but I can't find the file. Does anyone know how I could find the file? Or if anyone has a different solution that would be great too.
Edit in case anyone has this problem in the future and this comes up when they google it: turns out it was Scripts.rxdata causing the problem, I replaced it with the Desolation version and it starts. Not sure yet if it's going to run normally though, I only checked to make sure the title screen came up.

If you’re still stuck, you could try teaching trick room to one of your Pokemon, using that, and then having Mamoswine just spam Earthquake

That’s... a good question lol. I never noticed before today, but I can’t find Game.rxdata in any of the folders. If I want to find it I have to use the files search bar. Are you able to do that?

Even if you’re playing on Linux, you should still have a Game.rxdata file, which is your most recent save, that you can transfer to your phone. What was the problem you were having?

Thanks, I'll consider one of the other fighting types. I'm also rotating more than six Pokemon, so I don't use Mawile and Camerupt 100% of the time.

I went through pretty much all of the early game locations and didn't have any issues except the ones I said, and even those didn't prevent me from going anywhere
