I never used the legay sprite before and this issue just started happening to me zzz

There is a bug where anytime a cut scene involving my character it would automatically change the sprite back to the legacy one. This is pretty annoying because I have to keep going back to the old version and using debug to change it back. Does anyone else have this issue or know a fix? Edit: This has been happening since the start of chapter 13 so near the endgame
