The game has been updated to 1.2.5! This fixes some major crashing issues as well as a slew of typos and other small errors.

Syl's office where you can get random mons for money, the mid tier will sometimes crash at random. Idk what causes this tho, otherwise everything's smooth so far.  I'm playing the latest version btw :))

This one has nothing to do with an obedience, actually! You may not have noticed it with the starters, but Rainbow Pokémon need to get used to you before they trust you enough to follow commands (Meaning they need to be above a certain level of friendship before they start obeying you).

Also just a suggestion - I'd maybe change the obedience cap, seeing as the Bergmite doesn't obey you from when you first receive it.

Hey, I've been playing through the game and I've come across an interesting glitch on route 1.

His hair sort of looks like Freya’s hair. Also, we know that he became the leader after both Saki and Volta gave up their positions, and that Saki’s disappearance is connected to Freya. There’s not much, but it could relate to something. The way he talks is also similar to Kieran.

(2) I think the title of Chapter 14 is HIGHLY significant. ‘Death of One, Birth of Another’. This has been explained in part by the devs. Death of one refers to the fall of Bladestar. So it strongly implies there will be another evil team.

I think it is likely Madame X may not be our #1 opposing force... I think the name Celine is relevant still to that fact.

I always just thought Erick's hair was a reference to Sonic. Who knows though.

Going back to this, there are Zorua, Pangoro and a Golden Apple statue in the Garufan Ruins underneath Carotos mountain. So it seems to be related to them in some way.

Much like Reborn, I have also taken the liberty of porting AF to MKXP. It took ages and made me want to die on multiple occasions but behold! Better framerates!

 

Yeah, it's not a big update but oh well.

TL;DR This picture is hella weird.

He probably just has a team for testing battles, as opposed to a team at that point in the game.

 

As for Aelita, she probably doesn't have dependency set (didn't partner up) because Jan skipped that event, meaning that he wouldn't be fighting with her.

So uh, dev update time since it's been a few weeks. As of yesterday, Case 11 is now complete! Only two or so more to go before the re-release. We've also taken the liberty to add custom shinies to the game, knowing that's a thing that people like - so uh, here's some of my favourites:

I've also been continuing to mess around with Pokémon teams and such. I've considered adding difficulty modes so if anyone sees this and that's something they wouldn't mind, feel free to let me know.

 

Also unrelated to dev progress itself but I've recently had some art commissioned of some of the characters in AF. And yeah, farming items from Pokemons is actually pretty common, I mean, the best way to get Heart Scales is to fish them with a Good Rod in Akuma Town and use Thief on the Luvdiscs (Or have a Sneasel with Pickpocket or a Delphox with Magician)

The majority of Pokémon fangames run on a program called Pokemon Essentials which is a kit built for development in RPG Maker XP.

 

Reborn was recently ported to MKXP which was originally a recreation of the RMXP player to run on Linux systems, but has since been rebuilt to support newer versions of Ruby (the coding language of RMXP) in an attempt to improve performance.
