Hi Elven - I can offer you 1 of each - Oshawott, Chimchar, Treecko, Turtwig, Snivy, Chespin.

In return would you trade them for a Shiny Gible & Shiny Staryu? - If not I'll also post my shiny box & you can tell me if you're interested in any of them.

Heya. I have Chespin now but still need Oshawott, Chimchar, Treecko, Turtwig and Snivy.

Can I confirm/clarify that you're offering one of each starter for both Shiny Gible and Shiny Staryu? If so, yes, I'd be willing to trade. Please let me know what your username is and I'll grab you the Staryu and Gible.

  2. What comes to mind is a Russian Roulette type of thing that ups the ante a bit, where your Pokemon has a chance of being revivable or a chance of permanent death. It could be based on luck, or by character/character relationships, perhaps even by item. I have a personal Nuzlocke rule regarding the item Sacred Ash, influenced by the story of the Burned Tower in S/G/C/SS/HG. If I find it, that is the only time I can revive Pokemon. Revives, Revival Herbs, Max Revives, don't do anything, but Sacred Ash does. And also if it happens to involve Flareon, Vaporeon, or Jolteon, they can be upgraded to Entei, Raikou, or Suicune, respectively.

In terms of Player Character dying, it depends on the situation. If they're in the wilds then they either get eaten or beaten by wild Pokemon unless one decides to help them; if they're in the middle of the ocean, they drown; the desert, heatstroke/dehydration; enemy players, straight-up obliteration (unless they're against killing), or can ask for an NPC to escort them back to a Pokemon Centre (assuming one is benevolent and won't kill them and steal their valuables).

Sonic The Hedgehog and Legend of Zelda have drowning mechanics where they can't stay underwater for too long without drowning. I think the game should be salvageable but not guaranteed, to keep a level of tension. "Will I be able to revive him?" "NPC1 has a 75% chance of trying to kill me but they're the only chance I've got." "If I can befriend this NPC I could possibly get back home..."

I decided to try this out of curiosity and I'm having a problem with (apparently) movement? As soon as I click New Game I hear the collision sound of a character bumping into something and this sound continues until the end of the opening cutscene. Motion afterwards is fine, however, up to the Grand Hall. As soon as I select my starter and fight Cain, when he takes me down to the Pokemon Centre to heal, my character walks straight down into the wall and endlessly collides with it and I'm unable to do anything else. Has anyone got any suggestions for this problem? It's like Twitch Plays Pokemon all over again.

Sorry to pester but does anyone have a solution? Until I find one Sandbox Mode is completely unplayable...

  4. Walrein appears to only get Avalanche by TM. Breeding won't do you any good. I looked for Avalanche in the Item Guide and it isn't listed, so the TM doesn't appear to be in the game. Unfortunately it's not possible to get Avalanche onto Walrein just yet.

  5. Solid team.

Without knowing exactly what items you have, you could put Charcoal on Arcanine to boost Flamethrower.

With Luna, make sure you know what her field does and how you can turn it against her, or destroy it to even the battle. I've never used a Krookodile before so I don't know if they're bulky or not but I have a feeling Arcanine, Breloom and Krookodile might not tank m/any hits while her field is up, especially if those moves are super effective.

If I recall correctly, she leads with Bisharp. My advice is to lead with Breloom and either put her Bisharp to sleep up and/or take it down before it can get rocks up. If they're up, Arcanine and Araquanid are gonna take a lot of damage on switch-in. With it being a dark type gym your Gardevoir isn't going to be massively useful unless you pick your moments and find a spot where she won't get straight up OHKO'd. A Calm Mind or two might be useful with a Moonblast but again, watch the field.

  6. Thanks for your time and effort in updating these rules.

I do struggle to understand and remember things sometimes, so please forgive me if I missed the point or overlooked something which basically says this. If I have, please correct me. But I'd like to make a suggestion, if I may.

I think there still ought to be a way for users to redeem themselves after making errors or getting large amounts of points -- some sort of community service that, when completed, takes off a point or two. While I understand that some people may abuse them, we shouldn't let a few rotten apples spoil the opportunity for those who genuinely want to improve or redeem themselves.

My idea is that the warnings stay permanently as you've implemented, and don't drop off, but they can be removed through good service. Perhaps a task is completed for the benefit or betterment of the site and the user demonstrates they understand what rule was broken, why it's there, and what the rules surrounding that area are. In that way it's crystal clear they've learned what the rule is that they broke and have less chance of breaking it again. If someone's just here to be a troll, I doubt they'd want to do work just to be able to continue acting disruptively, so that might act as a deterrent.

But, perhaps, there's a grace period where, if they break another rule, the completed service is nullified and the lost point is re-added alongside any other points if any new points are earned. I feel that would keep people from abusing the system by completing service and then breaking more rules. And regardless of the outcome, whether the user is banned or forgiven, the site runs smoother as a result of them having completed their task.

That's the idea in a nutshell. I'll throw it out there just in case it's something that hasn't been considered. Again, please correct me if I've missed the point. I sometimes do. xD

Edit: And @Sirius , I'm not sure that would work. People could just lie in an effort to get out of trouble, and as ZEL said, personal circumstances aren't an excuse for acting up. They could be considered, sure, but how would we know the liars from the people genuinely struggling?

  7. To clarify, I'm not sure what causes it but I had this problem when I started my second (current) file. The keys would not function properly and no amount of downloading and redownloading fixed the issue. I'll post the solution I gave Scott Whisky in case anyone else wants to know.

    • Open Reborn and go on the main screen with New Game, Continue, Controls, Settings, etc.
    • Go into Controls
    • Change a control to something random, and click confirm.
    • Once back on the main screen, go back into controls.
    • Change the edited control back to what it was before you changed it.
    • Confirm changes. (Your controls should now be what they were before you changed anything.)
    • Play game.

I've changed my controls since and had no further issues with this "key-locking" problem. This should fix it.

    Happy Reborn-ing!

Ok I'll organize that too. Mirage Tower took alot more time than expected so I'm going to start on the eggs now.

I have your three waiting. Let me know when you're ready.

    What's your username?

  9. Your Squirtle and Popplio are ready. I've also fetched Misdreavus since I didn't actually have it. I'll breed you an egg. Would you consider adding Piplup to the list so we trade Squirtle, Misdreavus and Popplio for Charmander, Totodile and Piplup?

I have Charmander, Turtwig, Piplup, Totodile & Chimchar if you need any of them I can breed 1 each for you. Just have some random pokes to trade. I'd also like a Popplio if possible.

I can breed you a Popplio and Squirtle. In exchange, could you breed me a Charmander and Totodile?

  11. I decided to try this out of curiosity and I'm having a problem with (apparently) movement? 12. I have a Squirtle. I can breed from it and hatch an egg to trade you.

Do you have any starters? I already have Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Mudkip, Popplio, Cyndaquil, and Rowlet, so I'm not looking for those.

Unfortunately I don't have the items you're looking for.

The cell phone feature would probably end up having hilarious dialogue from when some of the key characters would ring up. You would probably hear T3rr4's antics in the background of Ciel's calls or explosions within Julia's. Cain would probably end up ringing the MC flirting, thinking he was speaking to someone else, then realising and hanging up. Other characters like Shelly would probably just have somewhat normal conversations. Titania and Sapphira would probably end the cal quickly in a blunt way or just not answer.

Sadly the call function probably won't be implemented into Reborn buuuut that's what modders are for~

Actually I think Cain would call just so he could flirt with the player. Something also tells me he'd accidentally buttdial us while he's busy "having fun" with other people. A phonecall feature would also be useful for in-game though, like getting a call from someone right as something's going down meaning we have to run all the way somewhere to provide back-up. Player vs Team Meteor, Team Meteor's demanding a key we "don't have", suddenly Victoria calls -- "Cain said he gave you the Ruby Ring five minutes ago" OHGEETHANKS

  14. Through breeding or trading with other players. I checked Gastly in the location guide but it wasn't listed as being encounterable anywhere else. Apparently the Abra you get from 7th Street is needed for a mission so it's best if you breed from that rather than using the actual Abra itself.

I do, however, have a Gastly I got via wondertrade and my Abra from 7th. Message me, I'll breed you eggs from my pairs.

  15. I did a quick search to see if this had come up before but couldn't find anything, so figured I'd post it.

In-game, I reached the point where I team up with Aya and get separated from Hardy and Cain. We're travelling through the mountain and encounter a wild Kangaskhan and Druddigon (My Donphan and Aya's Druddigon vs wild Kangaskhan and Druddigon). Kangaskhan faints after taking damage. Druddigon uses Dragon Tail on my Donphan -- which should force a switch -- but Donphan's sprite merely disappeared and the next turn started as "normal" with Aya's Dragalge and a now invisible Donphan. No switch forced.

I don't know if this happens with other switch-forcing moves.

Edit: ...And I'm not sure if I saw that wrong but I think Aya just moved twice in one turn.
