  1. That's a possibility, but personally, I doubt she would use Elias' methods to trick the player. This has already been done before, and it would be against Lin's concept of pure unbridled power. However, I support this theory of broken will. This one makes more sense in the current situation, especially if you take one of the PULSE Machines into consideration: PUSLE2. According to Evelyn's dialogue, this PULSE in particular enables Team Meteor to have augmented Pokemon and allows them to have 252 EVs in every stat, which removes the 510 EVs total limit. And not just that, it can also be used to affect the will of the Pokemon themselves, so Team Meteor can turn them against their respective owners as they please. According to the PBS files, it's indicated that Solaris' Garchomp has been through this type of maximization before we face him in Agate City, so it would make sense if Lin's team was made of Pokemon with 252 EVs in every stat. As for the Pokemon that Lin will use in fight, I think they will partly be stolen Pokemon who can perform well in the New World field.

I dare ask: Did you watch the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood Anime?

In FMA the seven deadly sins are depicted as homunculi with unique powers to each of them. The sind of envy is a form changing being, as he is envious of literally everyone and everything. Ditto would match that description quite well, as it can transform into any Pokémon.

As for the sind of greed, that one is depicted as a thief who steals whatever he likes or whatever he just wants to steal for no particular reason other than stealing something only to gain possession over the stolen item. I think Purugly would fit that bill, as it tends to steal other Pokémon's nests and claim them as its own.

I agree with you on this point! Now that you mention it, Ditto could well be related to Envy. Even if it's not a Pokemon which represents this type of sin to perfection, that might be a good reference to the homonculus himself, since Ditto and Envy both share the same ability of taking the appearance of someone else to lure their adversaries. This way, El could either be Greed himself (Since there's no other strong Pokemon left at this part of the game to represent this sin in particular) or Father (The master of homonculus. The one who preferred to get rid of his imperfection by infusing it inside his own creations, so he can get closer to this image of flawless being that inspires him so much).

Yeah.....not exactly what i was trying to imply there, but equally painful compared to what i had in mind...

Concerning Elias' Mega, it's actually tight between Lopunny and Kangaskhan. These two can outperform a bunch of Pokemon for themselves in the Holy Field, and not just Ghost and Dark types. I do, however, have a preference for Mega Kangaskhan over Mega Lopunny because it's more representative of this family bond that Elias wants to reestablish with Luna in my opinion.

Reborn isn't based about smogon tiers. They just have team partners that fit their team. Pyroar has a great special attack backed by a powerful STAB in Hyper Voice and Fire Blast. Pyroar us a great candidate, since the fire typing helps against opposing steel types, and Hyper Voice gets boosted in this field. Not any team on Reborn is competitively "viable", Titania has weird picks like Alolan Sandslash, Adrienn has Granbull and Whimsicott, and Hardy has TWO Lycanrocs (and those are in RU and PU) and an Archeops (PUBL).

You forgot Amaria's ace. Lapras belongs to the untiered tier. And yeah, in Reborn, field effects matter at least as much as the Pokemon you decide to use. For example, an OU (OverUsed) Pokemon like Skarmory is good from a Showdown player's perspective because it stands among one of the best entry hazard setters in the metagame. Yet, it won't excel that much against Hardy and his Rocky Field, despite the advantage of Skarmory against Rock Type Pokemon. The same could be said about the Snowy Mountain Field. So overall, Reborn somewhat reverses, not to say nullifies Smogon ranking concepts, cause the rules are not the same, and the perfect team doesn't really exist in a game where the environment changes and impacts Pokemon aptitudes to this extent.

Could it be that Anna is the true mastermind behind the Meteor/Lin/the voice in Citae?!!!

    Spoiler

Actually, I don't know. Anna is by far one of the most mysterious characters in the game behind Shade. But from what I've read on the Wiki page of the ghostly guy (or woman), it's implied that Shade has contributed a lot to help Anna earning her position. I have no idea what this position can be. Nothing helped us to determine if it was something related to the Reborn League or not. One thing is certain, Anna can see things others cannot see, and her mother (Zina Vanhanen) is dead. The date of Zina's death goes back over the time when Radomus has met Gossip Gardevoir when she was still a Ralts. Also, it's very likely that Zina is the woman in red and purple we saw in the black hole. The way she expressed herself at this moment let us imagine she had to take a very important decision which led her to her death afterwards. As for the voice we heard in Citae, it's heavily implied that this was young Lin's doing. There might be a connection between us and Lin, but what this connection can be exceeds quite a lot beyond my understanding. Maybe Anna has triggered something to fix a fatality that had occurred in an alternate timeline, which later became an opportunity for Lin to manipulate us. If the player is actually a special card in Anna's deck to change the course of history, this would explain why Lin is that interested in us, although we don't know anything about her motives. But hey, whatever the case may be, I doubt her intentions are benevolent in any way, precisely because these resulted in the killing of more than one innocent in the story-line.
