I can relate to this

Actually it wasn't just that he told Solaris Taka was dead, it was the way he did it.

"You might have done well to mind your son. Bit late for that now, isn't it?"

And then he points out how everyone that had ever actually believed in Solaris has either died, abandoned Meteor, or shifted over to Lin's side.

This is what actually made me hate Sirius

Well technically it should be Peachowser since the power up turns Toadette into Peach and the idea is applying that to Bowser 
But Bowsette sounds a lot less awkward so that's what I'm going with.

What I find interesting it that the guy who originally made the Bowsette comic has admitted that he did not expect the reaction that he got. He's flattered by all the attention he's gotten, but he's also a bit terrified of what he has created.

After returning to Neo-Reborn and Ame asks you to find Arclight, Adrienn, and Victoria, when you get to Victoria she's at Kiki's grave. Her line there is "I've heard about a lot of things happening up in Carnelia, and I was really worried! But, of course, you're just fine. You always are, right?" 

And after she says that last bit she goes back to Kiki's gravestone

So I may be reading into this a bit too much, but that line makes me think Victoria has a small grudge against the player for coming out of every situation unscathed, while those around them are hurt or die.

I really hate how Titania's line before leaving the WTC is "Looks like I didn't need you after all."

I'm just like "B!TCH IF IT WEREN'T FOR ME YOU'D BE STUCK IN ROOM 2!"

I have no consoles at all

I've only been able to play core Pokemon games via emulators 

But yeah that sounds interesting 

Would be interesting if Lin and the player had that connection, but I'm not sure if that's the case

I know almost nothing about Sephiroth

I barely remember which game he's from

So unfortunately that analogy doesn't work with me

But it is possible that the player and Lin have some connection.

There's my theory that the player was created by a wish Anna made in the Vanished Timeline Miss Fortune tells you about

Lin could know something about that

Or could be something else

Time will tell

Knowing Lin her plan is to let us collect all the gem things and then ambush us for them.

Or let us unlock the gate and sneak inside with us.

Meanwhile I know another part of Lin's strategy is to turn others against the player, it's already hinted that Victoria resents the player for surviving everything, but Titania turns on us waaay too quickly.

Even though we bothered to save her and Amaria from the WTC she actually accepts the possibility that we're working for Lin.
