  1. Seeing the others deciding to focus Flora, Leo grabs the staff of thunderbolts, gives it a spin once, and raises it.
"Sorry about this, you'll thank me later!"

    Spoiler

Staff of Lightning Bolts: A simple silver staff with a golden lightning bolt on one end. Deals 3d6+[Syn]+[Int] damage to one target and half as much to two other targets, ignores Res, usable once per combat.

Leo activates the staff of Lightning bolts, and adds in his last point of mana to boost its power further.
His primary target is Flora, and his secondary targets are Wire marionette 3, and rope marionette 3

  2. New boot, new character.
Have a Tinker happy star goddess from Kid Icarus.

    Spoiler

    Name: Stella

    Age: ???

    Gender: Female

    Sex: Female

    Race: Goddess

Appearance: A lovely young woman with Short silver hair, and pale gold eyes that reflect starlight. She wears sandals and long black pants, paired with a White Croptop which seems to have stardust woven into it, giving it iridescent sparkle even in the dark. ESPICALY in the dark. A long, even more sparkly scarf like raiment wraps around her body, forming an X over her otherwise bare stomach and back, and a belt like loop around her waist.  This raiment then trails off into two long cloths behind her, that gradually fade away into what seems to be strips of the universe itself, black space filled with stardust, the bright lights of the stars themselves, and whole galaxy’s in the background. It should be noted however, that this is merely a form taken on for her own taste and convenience. Her true form being both beyond human comprehension, and much less fun to use.

In Addition, she has recently completed a new design, and is followed around by her Assembly Drone. This drone, when at rest seems to be a large metal disc with various lines of purple energy and glowing iridescent chambers. Many of the latter have recessed into the disc to be almost seamless, or to sit only raised slightly over the surface. Extending from this disk are four straightened out “Arms” each connecting to one of what seem to be Triangular pods or coverings, themselves seemingly comprised of four triangular shapes. Each of these four extensions are connected togther by what seems to be a flowing black and purple ring made of solid energy. Between this ring and the disk are tiles and rectangles of more of this energy, along with what seem to be Displays of data displaying text in what seem to be several alien and/or divine languages. These tiles and displays, are themselves, arranged in spinning rough ring like patterns.

Its unclear how exactly she controls it, but Stella keeps her assembly drone behind her at nearly all times, to the point it seems to be invisibly glued to her body. What with how it floats behind her back near constantly with its top flat surface towards her, it can effectively be considered part of her outfit.

Personality: A confident, and somewhat arrogant goddess. She is quite free spirited and usualy only concerns herself with the petty squabbles of the other deities when they directly interfere with her intrest, though she does maintain a small worshiper base and has slowly become a little more interested in keeping an eye on the “cute and clever little humans”. Otherwise unconcerned with the surface of the earth, she spends her days among the stars and galactic sea. Despite her seemingly care free nature, nothing that comes within the vicinity of the earth’s space evades her notice, and the space pirates who plunder the night sky itself are at risk of being dragged under by her wrath. Perhaps as a result she has both a deep fascination with, and understanding, of alien technology. Even going so far as to allow the Arurm invasion to catch the gods by surprise and refuse to join them in battle for the sake of raiding ships for loot on her own.

The user is able to fly and gains a resistance to most environmental effects and 20% dodge chance.

(Flaw) "Color Commentary: “Oh cute, now the peanut gallery is here”

    Goal:

    Actions:

    -Actives

Stellar Ray: The user calls down a beam of sacred light from the sky, imbued with the power of the stars. Deals 5d6+Syn Holy/Light damage. CD=3

Galactic Blast: The user conjures the image of a lovely galaxy or nebula. It then explodes. Deals 3d3+Syn Holy/Explosive damage to four targets and inflicts stun for one turn. CD=3

Night shock: The user cast out a blast of darkness to strike a foe. Dealing 2d6+Syn Holy/Dark damage

    -Passives

Fusion Alter: The user may, at will (Excepting during encounters) Dystroy two items to obtain a new one based on the current world and/or recent events. The new item will have a level no less than that of the highest-level item destroyed, And a level no higher then the total level of the destroyed items. The new item may or may not keep a portion of the previous item’s effects

Divine Retrofitting: The user may treat personal ranged weapons as melee, and vice versa. Once per combat they may expand this to include non-conventional weapons, and ship weapons.

    -Trumps

    Equipment:

Neo Arurm Assembly drone: An advanced machine, made of reprogramed Arurm drones and retrofitted parts. This futuristic drone was made by the user both as a test of her skills and magic, and to assist in crafting. It is capable of harvesting, processing, and scanning nearly any resource. And is able to assemble some Arurm technology from recovered blueprint data, reverse engineered equipment, and some home-grown designs.  Its practically a mobile factory.

(Equipment) Level one: Gather protocols: At the end of each encounter the user gains bonus loot and resources, depending on the area, and in some cases enemies fought. This unit does not need to be equipped to activate this effect.

(Equipment) Level two: Databank: At the start of each plot the user will receive a blueprint, detailing ethier alien tech from their own world, or tech that the drone has devised via its remaining Arum scanning programing. These blueprints allow the user to freely produce the detailed item, given they can supply the proper resources.

(Equipment) Level three: Databank+: The user gains one additional blueprint per plot.

(Databank blueprint) Micro Space-Pirate StarDust Core: A design reverse engineered from the ruined core of a space pirate ship, which was sunk by a mighty beast. It can produce and store “relatively small” ammounts of power indefinitely and without waste, So long as it can access the energy and stardust of the galactic sea, or an appropriate substitute. Though nowhere near as strong or large as the original it’s a handy thing for a goddess of stars to have. Requires Glass, Iron, and gold

(Databank blueprint) Small Arurm False-Matter Projector: A design recovered from Arurm memory chips. This is the component used by most Arurm drones, and Arurm inspired weaponry to produce the color-coded masses of solid and non-solid energy used for various functions and parts. Requires Advanced Alloys and gold.

"Lets see if your armor can take THIS!"
Punch wraps her hand up in what seems to be swirling green light, and a vortex of wind and dust, forming a spike over her fist,
     "WIND LANCE PUNCH!"

Punch uses Color Strike on Judge. Declaring the Element "Wind" and the Physical damage type "Piercing"

    Spoiler

Color Strike: The user wraps their arm in colorful energy and visual effects, before attacking. Deals Str Damage and forces the target to make a perception check. If they fail, the damage taken is elemental and they take an associated status ailment chosen by the GM. The element is determined by the user

Level 2: Damage is now STR+1d4, And the user may declare one physical damage type, in addition to the elemental damage. This does not trigger a second check, and is instead tied to the elemental check

Vortex Kick: The user jumps and spins in the air, before delivering a powerful kick to a target. The imparted kinetic and bodily energy then forces the target to spin rapidly. Deals STR+1d6 and Inflicts Dizzy for two rounds. This move has a three-round cooldown. Dizzy causes the afflicted target to have a 50% miss chance.

Phase: The user performs a combination of movements, and intent based manipulation of the energy in their body, which allows them to phase through matter. With this ability they may phase through matter up to a thickness roughly equivalent to the distance of one step.

Level 2: Choose one target, for one round the first attack they make against the user is dodged

Charge up: The user excites the energy in their body in such a way their power is magnified. Each turn spent charging up increases Str by 3, and at the end of every turn that is not spent charging, the charged strength drops by 3.

Quick Change: The user has mastered the art of changing Clothes, Tactics, and Mannerisms in the blink of an eye, allowing them to perform Quickswaps. When used, the user may swap one action or equipment, out of their loadout, and bring in something else, as a free action. Three turn cooldown.

Level 2: The user may perform a second Quickswap in addition to the first one, however, each simultaneous Quickswap increases the cooldown by one.

Roaring White Dragon’s Hidden Gem: The user unleashes a powerful special technique. Creating a large explosive orb of icy energy, and launching it at a target, before following up powerful strike of spectral claws.

Deals 4d6+strength Ice damage. If double the damage Dealt would kill the target, the damage is doubled. Once per battle

Level 2: When a target is killed by this attack an icy shard is created, which strikes a random foe for 1d6+[Str/2]

Flowing Blue Rain: The user performs a series of movements, realigning and amplifying bodily energy. All Debuffs and status ailments are purged from the user. Including those that would restrict movements, or the ability to act.

    Perks

    Spoiler

Fox Chimera Heart: This character has the innate ability to selectively copy Fox traits. When this character encounters any fox or fox-based creature, magical or otherwise, its powers and qualities are added to a list which this character can pull from. In order to take on these traits, they must permanently convert Craft tokens, into Fox Tokens.

Fox Tokens may be invested to realize these traits and powers as trick level abilities. These abilities cannot be upgraded by any means other then the spending of AP.

Fox tokens may be put into or removed from a fox trait at will, outside of encounters, during which Fox Tokens may only be moved around when selecting the initial load out. Some simple traits, like color, may be adapted without Fox Tokens

     -------------------------------

Doppelganger: This character has the innate ability to selectively copy the traits and forms of others through disguises. They may copy the abilities and form of an ally, or enemy. An enemy must be studied before it can be copied.

An action may be spent to learn individual moves and traits in battle as a target uses them, or a captured live enemy, can be studied outside of battle to create a more complete copy. When a move or trait is learned via copying, it is added to a list this character may pull from.

In order to realize these traits This character must permanently convert AP into CP (Copy points) CP May be invested to realize the copied traits and moves as Action level Abilities. These copied actions cannot be upgraded by any means other than the spending of AP and exist at the original level of the copied action minus one (minimum one)

CP may be put into or removed from a copied trait at will, outside of encounters, during which CP may only be moved around when selecting the initial loadout. Perk backed actions cannot be copied, as they are to advanced and complex to copy unless the user is using it in the moment, instead they gain "Assist" actions. An assist action allows this character to join an ally in performing the associated perk backed action, granting a buff to that action. Some simple traits like color may be adapted without CP

    --------------------------------------

MasterActor: This character may attempt to fool others in various displays of acting and trickery, through their powers and skill. This can include impersonating someone specific, taking on a more general role or disguise to blend in or get away with things they otherwise wouldn't, Or even assume the likeness of an inanimate object, to throw off pursuers.

Subject to GM fiat, 50% boost to relevant checks and/or the ability to use them where you wouldn't normally be able to.

  5. Leo makes a sound somewhere between a dismissive or spiteful 'Tch' and a groan of disgust. When he speaks its with an undercurrent of horror and anger.
"I was afraid of this. The monster is a corrupted soul. It appears its under a self perpetuating curse that suffuses its Psychic shell, Its mind, with Elemental Despair. That suffering drives it to lash out, and cause more suffering. I think the curse might be feeding on it somehow"

"That would explain why it broke loose during the siege, It consumed the suffering and pain inflicted during the battle. How brutally efficient.

"Whats worse, the magic used is INCREDIBLY strong. The soul doesn't seem to have the raw willpower needed to purge itself. We need to defeat and contain her, from there, we can figure out how to break the curse and assist in purging the Elemental Despair. If I weren't busy fighting, I'd feel sick. Lets finish this quickly!"

Leo uses Winter Blade on chain marionette 1

"Why would he even bother with the souls of his family? Why not use Lizards or a Hired soul? Sure he can't just go mind wiping them, but lizards hardly give a shit and a hired soul would be complying already. Why bother with mindwipes anyways?"

  12. "Well....that was freaky."

Leo's fingers twitched.  The clearly non friendly movements had kept making him thing a fight was about to happen. Now He had an adrenaline rush, and an antsy desire to start swinging his sword around.

"It will likely only get worse from here....This area looks pleasant, but I doubt it will keep for long."

"Lets see if we cant get any more information now that we are inside."

Leo speaks, pouring out his Analyze spell once again. Scanning the area around him....

    Spoiler

    [83]

As Leo walks he takes in as much as he can with his Analyze spell...maybe too much. This whole place? Illusionary. The pocket dimension probably isn't much bigger than what it covers in realspace, they're walking in circles with perceived space being changed as they move. Those "monsters"? Mana constructs, no reason listing all the possible purposes they could serve but they're certainly learning as much about him as he is about them...possibly more. Their spellwork also isn't like anything he's seen, in some places it's crisp, clean, and perfect and other places it's sloppier than anything he's ever made.

Witch's Labyrinth Study Report(Flora) #002 & #003: May be used as a crafting reagent or turned in as 1/8 of an Int point.

"This is pretty intresting actualy. Its not just the buildings. Everything in this pocket dimension is nothing more then a solid illusion. Even those monsters back there are just mana constructs. The spellwork is really strange. Some of it is just, Flawless and clean, but then there are just massive chunks that make my very first creations look GOOD, And considering I have no formal education and learned my first spells from a bunch of old books in a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland, many of which were damaged, thats saying something."

"All in all, this place is not much larger then the associated field back in normal space"

    "More concerningly, She watching us."

While Leo is thinking, snow is the one responding to kusuke

"She might not necessarily dislike us. Which may be even more concerning. There is strong evidence that this Flora, is insane, remember? And one of the directives that was being put into stoneheart was something about 'Finding real friends'. Of course, this means its VERY likely we are indeed going the right way."

"Snow. Let's give stoneheart another checkup. If we are closing in on the source, the effect could be stronger. There might be more information"

    "Right"

Leo taps at his computer, but after a few moments....
"Nothing. No change that I can see....We should probbly get moving, wouldent want to keep our.....host waiting

    Leo will, Party willing, Continue

  13. "No nothing like that. Short version, something I bought in the last world I was in broke loose, and did things I didn't know it could do. We need to retrieve it."

"The lost golems seem to be past that wall the bird found, but that might indicate some way to pass it. We should check that out. If they are alone, we might get more information on what happened and can go from there. If they aren't, then great, we found our target"

Assuming the party is on board with it, head in the direction of the distress beacon

  14. "We are fighting a monster of some kind. There may be a small chance of a peaceful resolution, but almost certainly fighting it. We also need to recover a particular gem that should be in its possession, and bring it back intact."

"I just got back from scouting. Once we pass through the nearby portal, we will end up in a sort of pocket dimension, containing an illusionary city. Our target is a monster inside. We need to recover the gem. Going off what we have learned, and what I was told by the merchant who I bought it from, the gem is likely a container for it, and once we beat it, it will be forced to retreat back into it, not unlike a ghost."

"Ethier that or the gem MAKES monsters. I won't be able to be sure until we get a closer look."

"If everyone is up to it, are we ready to go?"

  15. Getting a small amount of blood drawn, and getting some polish from the smith, Leo starts to prepare three pieces of equipment

From Thran vine-metal, and T-gold he makes some armor, and gives it a nice polish.

    Spoiler

    Crafting: 25 vs 22, Quality: 63,
Embossed Terrarian Golden Chestplate: Grants +1 Res while equipped and an additional +2 Res against magical attacks.

He then tries to make some shielding aglets, but they have a few problems

    Spoiler

Craft: 8 vs 14, Quality: 57, Golden Cryo-Aglets: These fanciful enchanted bits of gold and eternal blood ice create a protective shield around their wearer whenever they're in danger. Creates an icy shield around the user's feet that grants the user +1 Res against foot-targeting attacks and causes them to roll twice and take the worse result on Dex saves.

He tries to fix them with an enchantment, but ends up weakening them.

    Spoiler

Crafting: 8 vs 12, Quality: 52, The enchantment causes the equipment to lose it's once ridged shield of ice and instead create a shield of shifting slush and water.

Golden Aqua-Aglets: These fanciful enchanted bits of gold and eternal blood ice create a protective shield around their wearer whenever they're in danger.
Allows the user to walk on hot surfaces longer and helps keep from getting stuck in the mud as easily by creating a bubble of water around their feet.

Grumbling, he shrugs and puts them on anyways.
Before testing a mana type, and trying an alt cast on a bit of glass

    Spoiler

    Luck: 21, Random Blitz: 10,

Leo casts the spell only to quickly realize just how much of a bad idea it was. Quite quickly the piece of glass, a large spot on the table he was working on, and at least several feet of ground underneath that are enchanted to secrete a thick, mucus-y, and slightly cloudy slime constantly.

Thaum > Prism(4, 5): Prism mana when applied to a Prism causes it to grow, careful and tedious work with this mana could eventually create more refined Prisms.

He quickly unenchants everything but the glass itself and puts it in a box

more testing finds a few more things for later use.

    Spoiler

Thaum > Prism > T-Glass(11, 2): This mana causes light that passes through it to crystalize, the effects of these crystals is based on the ambience.

Thaum > T-Glass > Prism(16, 7): This mana when applied to a Prism causes a new bluish tinted Prism to grow. Blue Prisms absorb any light or magic passing through them and output an intense beam of light at their sharpest point.

Finaly he uses cores of T-gold and T-glass and some enchantments to whip some stuff up.

    Spoiler

    Craft: 16 vs 6, Quality: 99,

Terrarian Gold Scouter: As an action the user can activate a level 1 Analyze spell, once per encounter. The user gains +1 Res vs Analyzed enemies for every empty action slot they have. Set Bonus: When worn with two other pieces of Terrarian Gold armor(chest and other) requires no action slot and the user gains two action slots that may only be used for actives.

  16. Once AZ and Satomi arrive, Leo is not present. The massive golem that follows him around though is, and Helpfully informs them in a mindless mechanical tone, of the current situation.
Everything Leo told kusuke before walking off with his new bird is relayed to them, and they are informed Leo should be right back.

Soon enough, Leo starts walking back with his scanning bird in hand, accompanied by Kusuke and the pair meets up with the group.

"Oh Hey guys. I take it your interested in the mission?"

Sitting the bird down on the table he seems to take note of Satomi's present state.
"Oh, what's wrong Satomi? You don't look like your in the best shape."

  17. "Ill be fine. Im not dependent on foreign mana to live or function. Unlike a normal golem or enchantment, my mana comes from my own soul, and is directly tied to my own will. As opposed to my golems who lack souls and depend wholly on mana intake and programing. If it were strong enough to effect me, It wouldn't just be Stoneheart. It would be subjugating more or less all enchantments. Its not even effecting my other golems, Just Stoneheart specifically because of the unique modified spellwork I was testing on him."

"Thats why I've wrapped stoneheart around me. Effects like this go both ways. If Stoneheart is sucking up my mana and my will, its going to prevent the field from effecting him as badly. We aren't talking about just a brief exposure. Everyone and every thing in this area is being bathed in it. I wouldn't want to leave a golem out here like this for too long, but it should be fine"

"It might help to explain that any pretty much any Thaumic mana, that is, mana which includes Air in its attunement, can be used to alter the effects of any spell when cast. If you cast your fireball spell with plant mana, you might get like, a ball of plant matter or a flame that plants can consume as fuel. It depends on the exact spell and mana type."

"Stone heart was created useing spellwork modified by the mana of my missing item, a gem of some kind or something. So the energy of the gem and Stoneheart are more or less the same. That mana is also tied to wishes and desires, Stoneheart was MEANT to be easily controllable. The whole point of me testing the golomancy spells that make him up with that mana type, was to see if useing it like that would make a golem responsive to mental commands"

  18. "In this case, the resonance could be considered a good thing. It's what allowed me to get the portal open to begin with and find out more about what was going on. I should be able to get a lot of cool information out of Stoneheart's new codes and programs. Theres even a language in there I don't recognize. Its REALLY bad code though. Sloppy, inefficient. Its likely that this individual has no experience working with golems and the changes are just a natural effect of stoneheart coming into contact with the field and the will of the being in question."

"The thing about golems, is like other enchanted devices, they need mana to function and exsist. And like any magical construct they can be effected by mana coming in if it contains strong directed will. Leave a golem alone in a forest for a long time and it will usualy go feral eventualy, or at least gain new animal like habits. Likewise a dose of doped ambiance can seriously screw with them. Stone golems are usualy better about this, but Stoneheart was created as nothing more then a test of the mana type of the item in question. He was born from mana attuned to it and honestly was never actualy meant to be something we kept around, that would explain why he is so vulnerable to it, when frostbrute has not been effected."

"I kept him because I realized that part of the effect of the mana used, was that he could feel emotion. Dident feel right to ditch him after that. So I gave him a body. At the moment he is still loyal and has gained some intresting new bits, So as long as we deal with this problem before something bad happens, it should be a net gain."

"As for insanity I didn't feel any headaches coming on when I looked at the strange code, and looking at this....city isn't doing anything to me...So It should be ok. We should be able to just jump in. Why? Is it effecting you?"

  19. He finds Leo sitting at his table outside, his hands hovering over a new bird golem with a long wire connecting to a...control pad with a screen? there is a mix of distortion in the air, like a heat haze, and shimmering pale blue over the construct and under his hands. Initially he does not even look up to answer.

"An item I brought with me after having purchased it from a world hopping merchant seems to have activated its previously unknown functions, and breached the containment procedures I created with the help of the drayd. Though it hasn't really done anything yet aside from addle stoneheart."

"Despair, sadness, must return. must find, hatred, return, return."

"Be patient stoneheart, we are going to find her"

"Yeah, basicly this entire area has had its ambiance displaced by a magic field, Which resonates with stoneheart due to how he was created. Thankfully this gives us plenty of info and means to solve the problem. At the moment, Ive ordered stoneheart to remain on me so my mana will counter act the field. He keeps wanting to 'Return' to someone named 'Flora'...."

Leo trails off for a moment, looking up with an actualy...concerned look on his face. As he stated, stoneheart has wrapped itself around him, as opposed to its usual thing of just floating around and following.

"This is not really to big of a deal on its own. But.....I'm  concerned with what we will find.  I suspect this Flora may not presently be of sound mind, considering the data I got from that item prior, and the way Stoneheart keeps rambling. This could be a rescue mission. Find the item, get this person help."

He looks back down at the bird and starts speaking more spellwork at it, If Kusuke payed enough attention, he might recognize snippets and chunks of the spell he had used on the dryad's wine glass earlier, broken up, slightly altered, and mixed in with a bunch of other words to create something he seemed to be binding into the construct.

"Stoneheart's directives are being overwritten and new functions have been added. It would seem the Item displaced itself and its container, along with the lab tech golems who were monitoring it and slowing down its magic intake, into extra dimensional space. Inside the magic field are several points that seem to be like doors. Stoneheart's new function 'Return' is likely a key to those doors."

He pauses to follow up snow's explanation.

"Its ability to move in Other Directions may be what allowed it to escape containment, as it never occurred to me it might have that ability, I only shielded against it in three dimensions, and tried to block magic as much magic as I could safely. Ill have to correct that mistake later. Once I have time, further scan of the new functions might allow me to make a countermeasure."

He mutters a few more of his golem spells at it, before nodding, satisfied to himself as its screen lights up. standing up and lifting the bird into his arms

"Ive copied the 'Return' function from stoneheart into this new bird, and also installed an enchantment based on my Analyze spell. This should allow us to scout out what we are looking at, before diving in head first. So we can make preparations if need be."

"Lets see whats on the other side shall we? Snow have frostbrute explain that to anyone else who arrives while I'm checking this out"

Leo heads over to the nearby zone, whether kusuke follows or not, and once in range activates the bird, and sends it flying off, as he holds its handheld part. As he presses something a portal opens up nearby, and the bird flys in.

    Spoiler

    [62] The enchantment goes fine.
[84] As soon as the bird activates the "Return" function a rift opens in the nearest anomalous zone.

Through it Leo sees a strange thing, a sort of almost city-scape environment. Lot's of pale greys and steel-blues with only the occasional splash of real color in the form of arched, and nearly opaque, stained glass windows on the buildings. A hazy fog prevents him from seeing more than a hundred feet or so in any direction, creating a heavy oppressive atmosphere. Once inside the bird doesn't see a whole lot more, though it can turn around and see behind the portal, more empty street. No malfunctions occur due to crossing over, and the portal is semi-stable for now.

    "Intresting...Lets see whats inside."

    Spoiler

Area scans show the city-scape too...not actually be that large, only appear to be. It cuts off a few hundred yards away from the direction the portal faces. Actual size in the other directions is unknown.
The space seems to be a sort of mirror world, a pocket dimension superimposed along side the regular world. Powerful illusions. No signs of
life, however activity(movement) has been noted within scan radius.

"Not as big as it looks huh? Not a surprise. The amount of energy that must go into this is already pretty huge. Something is moveing in there though...Lets go in for a closer look...."

Leo sends the bird of in the direction of the movement, having it send back data as it goes.

    Spoiler

[43] The bird moves towards the source of activity(the only source to this point) only for it to begin moving away. The closest the bird ever manages to get is enough to see a vague shadow of its movement through the mist. Some kind of quadrupedal creature with legs attached in a similar way to a spider(long with sharply bent knees that raise over the body), but head and body shape like that of a mammal. It also seems to move oddly, almost...floating? But it's legs are definitely making contact with the ground...weird.

"Every Adventurer instinct I have is screaming that thing is hostile and, or Flora.  Can't get the bird close to it huh? This is good data though. Ill have to review it later when this problem has been dealt with"
