  1. "Thank you for the trust, I assure you, this is worth the effort." Dackly nods, and then promptly headbutts a wall hard enough to dent the metal, the snakes in her hair all biting at once. She gathers the poison dripping down from the wall in a pan, and rings it over to Aurora Expectantly. "If you would?"
  2. "Feed it lots of royal honey, I suppose. There is a beekeeper in town." "As for the sphere..." "While we were out there on that abandoned planet, I found this." She sits down at her table, and shows a folder of papers. "It was in an underground lab in the temple, bored into the metal itself, which is completely impossible, as that was primary precursor metal!" "The only thing in there were empty drawers, empty shelves, ruined technological components, and this, a single folder of documents." She slides it across the table. Dark's Log #18 Several Parts of it are filled with complex diagrams and equations, and all of it is written in... Bubble font? Whoever wrote it seems to write with a bubbly outline of the letters. Possibly disguising their handwriting. "It describes that in the notes as a cultivated fragment of a greater monster." Lua Da says grimly. "Does this help?"
  3. (Still waiting on Murdoc's Deliberation for The Precursor Hat and War Metal Head Armor) Lua Da nods to Ritsu and Jade, and taking Materials off of Ritsu's Hands, she begins work, eventually granting the objects that Ritsu and the Group strived for. Jades rounds are made with the utmost skill, and function as well as his others. Gary attempts to break Tall Grass in the forest. (3d6+5=10+5=15) He finds 24 Seeds, and a single stack of Minicio essence. Gary attempts to cut down trees as well. (3d6+5=8+5=13) He obtains 34 wood and 6 saplings, but no apples. Gary finally finishes by mining. (3d6+5=10+5=15) He obtains a stack of all four stone types, 10 Pieces of Coal, 2 Iron Ore, 1 Gold Ore, and 3 Yellow Eco Shards from a vein of crystals.
  4. She hmms and haas to herself. She sketches something up. "Something like this?" She shows off the diagram, it demonstrates a backpack with a small hopper. "It can turn most advanced organic materials into a coating that can increase your speed drastically by reducing wind resistance and infusing you with Blue Eco!" The device appears to turn Complex Materials like Healing Potions into items which speed mechanical beings up in various ways.
  5. "Oh, no, not yet, sorry, This is actually closer to Chemistry than it's magical cousin." "See, when you boil bones, the things that hold them together slip into the water from the boiling and softening, and if I boil it enough, all is left is bones and sticky liquid, a Glue, made for cheap, and of low quality." "But, in that same vein, by boiling things, they dissolve and lose cohesion, even without alchemy, right?" "So I am going to boil these bones into glue, then, I will spit some poison into another pot, and ask that you do the same, and I'll boil the venom until it loses it's bonds as well, becoming naught but the harmless parts that make up the deadly venom." "It's Chemicals, as it is. Then, I mix the Chemicals and Glue in simple Alchemy. The potency of Venom, combined with the stickyness of glue, and without the toxicity that venom holds, results in a strong cheap glue." She allows Gozer to continue. "Dackly has an unhealthy love of Duct Tape, which is strips of layers of paper and fabric, coated in glue on one side, and rolled into a roll. When you pull a strip from the roll, it only has glue on a single side, and thus, you can create a large amount of this tape with poor glue and poor material, and store them for long periods of time. If your webbing were meat, Duct tape would be salting it." "My prediction is that she would have you create a long silk ribbon for her, the strength of your webs, with the control of the chemical glue, and she would have a roll of material which can bind objects together with greater ease than even the finest of ropeworkers or menders, at the mere cost of it's appearance, as such mendings are crude, but frighteningly effective." "Once, Dackly was locked in a prison, and, using Duct Tape from the Cleaner's Stores, fashioned a shiv with which she fought her way out." "This was in the 5th Pit of Hell." "Needless to say, when you combine such a miraculous material as Duct Tape with the versatility of Alchemy, your abilities in both routes double fourfold." Gozer finishes, nodding sagely. Surely enough, the water and bones begin to slowly reduce into fragile soft bones, and white tarry slime in the bottom of the pot.
  6. "Oh, oh my! These are intriguing!" "Well, what devices do you believe you might need?" "Uhh, a few things off the top of my head, A gun that shoots these, a gun that shoots other things, jump boots, maybe a training robot? Oh! you are a machine, I could make repair paste from the wax itself, or maybe synthesize a wax coating that could be applied to your chassis, or another device?" "I could Upgrade the Rail Rider as well, using some of these materials, or upgrade something of yours?" "Oh, in addition, I could use those materials to make you some Rail Portals, so you have some in reserve to lock to world locations once I make the Prime Portal Rail?"
  7. Mitsu flies up and begins pushing at the giant slab, shifting it towards the bee below... With a loud grinding noise, the Vespiquen turns, shrieking in agony as the noise overwhelms it. Finally, the slablet tips over, and falls town, tumbling in the air towards it... T H E M E _ O V E R R I D E *CRASH* The Queen is impaled by the Jagged edges of the Gargantuan slablet, and positively SCREAMS in the purest and most vile rage and agony. It takes 100 Damage from this. Everyone but Mitsu takes (1d4=1) 1 Damage. Jade Heals himself with Green Eco, regaining 5 Health! The Vispiquen Lashes out in it's Death Throes, dealing: (1d20=18) 18 Damage to Mitsu, a limb from the thrashing monster flying up and lashing across her body! (1d20=3) 3 Damage to Jade, a splash of acidic blood catching them in the chest! (1d20=9) 9 Damage to Enma, a swing of it's powerful limbs catching her off guard! (1d20=17) 17 Damage to Kino, a full body tackle from it sending her flying back! (1d20=18) 18 Damage to Ritsu, it's stinger nearly missing impaling her! (1d20=18) And 18 Damage to the Dark Vespiquen itself, it's mad thrashing ripping it's body apart! It's flailing leaves it blinded and mad. Enma attacks with her basic attack, dealing (3+8=12) damage! Kino uses Death's Breath, dealing (2d4+5=4+5=9) 9 Damage, and preventing it from acting! [3d4+9+(11.7* Ritsu uses "Prey on the Weak", Dealing (3d4+9+(11.7*4)=11+9+(11.7*4)=20+(11.7*4)=67) 67 Damage!!! The Vespiquen Dissolves into Black Muck. Combat Screen: (FINAL RESULT) LOOT TALLY --Alexandria-- Alexandria gets totally Cockblocked, as the Monster's Head Suddenly EXPLODES in a violent conflaguration of gore. The Sand Shark Looks Surprised. LOOT TALLY
  8. --Kitchen-- "No clue, but we need Duct Tape. Want to help?" Dackly asks Aurora Dackly goes to meet up with Gozer, who does the same. They promptly get to cooking something COMPLETELY inedible, snatching bones from the garbage?
  9. "I am an aspect of earth energy, and I also have picked up several techniques from various teachers. I can create invisible psychic bombs using my energy, deflect harm from multiple people by splitting my bodily blocks, ram into people to intterupt them, and I have this." Gozer takes out a sack of black devices, with white text and a ripcord. "Fulton Recovery Device" they say. "I cannot demonstrate here, but these devices are currently taglocked to this location, and when attached to an object using the harness, will result in an explosive expansion of helium when the cord is pulled, launching the object safely into a high altitude, where it manipulates aerial currents to guide it to base. This one is also equipped with teleportation tech, enabling it to reach this ship from other worlds. Lastly, I can activate a special construct in my body that unleashes my full energy, reducing my health and wellbeing in return for immense power."
  10. "Uh, I burned my house down cooking flan, I'm not the leader send to guide you, whoever that is." "I'm just someone with a penchant for making unlikely friends." Dackly shrugs, winking with her one eye.
  11. "The Art of Crackpot Alchemy is one native to a special realm known as Earthrealm, one of three in it's Trinity of Realities, That entire world delves into this sort of thing, as Ideas and Reality are in tune with one another." "In that world, a sword is not just a collection of iron, but rather, all of the parts that make it up as well. It's heft, and it's parts, It's like..." "It's like the whole damn place was an allegory for something. I'm sorry, I'm probably not making much sense. That place didn't either." "It is just one of the many places I've visited. I've actually been around quite a few worlds, even one where I helped a group like your own."
  12. --Kitchen-- "Sounds just like her! I'm one of Nyx's Paladins!" Dackly claps her hands together, and with her eye closed, slowly draws out a spear made of Soul Power from her closed eye, glowing with purple energy and stars. "I met up with Nyx's last paladin a LONG time ago, apparently, someone was killing off all her servants, and I felt so shitty about the situation that I decided to join up! Vampires, Werewolves, All of those creatures of the night, pushed and pushed until only the Night itself could house them. It really hit home for me." "It's not the best, but I've ended up with a few shrines and stuff set up when I travel places, mostly people see me doing cool stuff like this and decide they think it's cool too." Dackly allows the Soul Spear to fade, it dissolves slowly into sparkles and darkness.
  13. --Kitchen-- Dackly suddenly leaps up, arms in a "Y" position as she lands. "Hup!" "Howdy! Gosh, whatever you did felt great! Like a star, shining down upon me." "In fact, that's exactly what it felt like!" Dackly comments, suddenly curious. She puts a fist to her chin. "Say, do you know Nyx, the Primordial Entity slash Goddess of Night, and Deep Sympathizer to Otherkind?"
  14. Dackly blacks out, completely drunk, while Gozer Pours the pot out on the table. He then prepares a dish of Belgean Fries, by frying french fries twice, he also ensures that it is sprinkled with liberal amounts of garlic powder, season salt, and with a side of ketchup, before kicking Dackly in the side so she blasts it with loving energies, and he matches it with the power of the earth, focused through his flame. The result is a dish of Garlic Flavored Belgean Fries, with a Strong earthy undertone, like that of mushrooms and potatoes, and Sweet Ketchup, infused with the power of Love. The love infused Side Dish is propped up on Gozer's Blocks, while he turns to Aurora. "I need to bring this to the woman who helped us. Can you watch Dackly? She is harmless when she is blackout drunk." He comments, walking off. Aurora would feel very confused when smelling it, thinking her enhanced senses to be on once more, due to it smelling so strongly of food. --Kitchen > Hall-- Gozer would spot her and Lilya stalking down the hall, the former of them still gravely injured. "Mam, I made you some healing food, I apologize for the wait." Floating a block over, he holds up the plate on a stack of blocks, forming a fantastic table and stool.
  15. Mitsu attacks with a basic attack, and dealing (2d3+12+18=3+12+18=33) 33 Damage! (9794) Mitsu is splashed with Dark Eco Blood, taking 5 damage, and becoming Deafened for (1d6=6) 6 Turns! Only shouts can be heard by her! Jade uses Aim to Kill, Firing Pyro Rounds at the Vespiquen, and dealing (1d6+5+2=5+5+2=12) 12 Damage! Ritsu Tazes the Vespiquen, dealing (1d4+4=2+4=6) 6 Damage, and (31) Reducing the Vespiquen's next attacks to 50% effectiveness! Black Blood Splashes on Ritsu, (3888) Ritsu's paint takes on a shade of red tint, crossing rivers will cause them to turn blood red. The Vespiquen Calls out, and it's servants respond, slathering it with green eco, and restoring (35) (3d10=18/2) 9 Health! Enma and Kino attack with their basic attacks, Dealing (2d4+5+2+3+5=6+5+2+3+5=21) 21 Damage! and restoring 6 Health to Kino! Enma gets splashed with more Dark Goop, (634) she can no longer be frightened by any earthly creature!.. She feels exactly the same, presumably... Vespiquen fores a slug of precursor metal at (2) Jade, dealing (2d12=18/2) 9 Damage! Vespiquen's Next Turn The Vespiquen takes (1d4+8=1+9=10) 10 damage from bleeding. Combat Screen: --Alexandria-- Alexandria hucks a boulder at it, smashing it away. This does 10 damage, and also throws it back over the horizon. It is charging Again, back into range.
  16. "Unfortunately, Dackly is very poor with context, this device is known as a Crackpot, it is a pot that has had a Sigil applied to it. The sigil works in two parts, both of which are necessary to it's function." He points at the glowing symbol on the pot, which floats slightly above the surface itself, the symbol is made entirely of magic. "Firstly, it breaks down conceptual barriers, essentially melting things into their conceptual components, so, fire is not merely a chemical reaction, it is "Fire" itself." "So, for example, all the aspects of that metal ingot in the pot, the aspects you assign to iron, It is a Strong, Heavy, Metal, Ingot, and it is Made of Iron." "The Crackpot breaks it down into those forms, where an alchemist can combine and interact with those conceptual elements, such as Boiling the Iron, so that only it's Strength, and other such aspects, stay at the bottom, while the fleeting lighter parts of it, such as the fact that it is in the shape of an ingot, float to the surface. If dackly were to take too long however, those aspects would be catalyzed by the heat, rather than merely separated, like how sugar becomes syrup, then carbon, under increasing heat." As he explains, Dackly drunkenly gives her own explanation for why she is using a cheese grater to scrape metal into the pot, something about having to give it machine level quality, but only a little bit of it, to spice it up. "What she has done is, she first melted the pendant, then she heated it, so that the Damage it took, something associated with heat, and also a thin concept, damage can be repaired, it is fleeting, and lightweight, so it floats to the surface, where Dackly can scrape it out with a spoon. She then used iron, but only the concepts related to it being shiny, durable, whole, and metal, and added those, mixing them with it. Which is why that ingot on the table has none of those aspects, it is not metal, it is not durable, and it isn't even opaque." "Do you know what Plato's Theory of Forms is? It amounts to this pot turning Matter and Energy into Form, or more specifically, the lesser version of Form, which is an individual Concept." "So, you put things into the pot, then do what makes sense to get the result you want, like melting down a metal ingot, and pouring it into a scabbard to make a sword. After all, a sword belongs in a scabbard, and thus, the ingot must become." Dackly grabs one of the snakes that make up her hair, oh dear, those snakes look VERY unhappy with this. She squirts venom from one into the pot. "Potency" she claims it is for. "You gotsh to make it strongh, but alsho weeken the worlf, so poison's strongh, and weakensh sha worlf." "Dackly, the payment, so the pendant is worth more." She nods, throwing the sack of Zenni into the pot as well, before pouring the pendant out on the ground. "The Sigils other function is simple and also vital, as without it, we would die or suffer fates worse than death. The other part of the sigil ensures that no gasses escape the pot, or enter it naturally. The common scenario is thus, if you put a piece of iron in the pot, and a mass of air rushes in as well, then you have air and iron in the pot, which creates rust, but then, the rust combines with more air, to form gaseous rust, which floats out of the pot, forming both a gaseous rust, AND turning whomever is near it into gaseous rust as well, for the alchemical liquid has touched their bodies and went into it." "I am sure you have heard of alchemists destroying themselves with their mad experiments due to unsafe practices and equipment." Final Tally --Outside-- Long after everyone else has left, Mar sits in the middle of the field of traps, pumping out humidity with his magic. A few hours later, he hears and feels a crash. A roaring begins to echo. Mar goes towards it, and forces ot to sleep with Chocolate Mana, Intoxicating it with Magic, Humidity, and heat, until it succumbs. From there, he drags it out of the pit using some complicated usages of Pig Iron Mana. He returns to the center, after dragging the animal into the ship, and begins humidifying the area. Soon, more crashes are heard, followed by skittering. Three bugs, in three different holes, they scramble up the glass walls, but cannot grip them. Mar knocks them out as well, with the same method. Once all three animals are bound with Hardrock Braces synthesized into the ground in one of the castle rooms, Mar calls his job done for now.
  17. --Kitchen-- Dackly, seeing something that Aurora may or may not, begins slowly skimming the surface of the liquid, flicking it into a pan, where it becomes flecks of burnt slag. "You see, when it is simmering like this, the thinner concepts absorb more of the heat, rising to the surface." She then pours the pot out onto the table, and it becomes a pendant which looks like someone cut gouges out of it where it was damaged. Next, she feeds an iron ingot into the pot, and it melts down as well, becoming another silvery liquid, which Dackly turns from simmering to boiling with a change in temperature. She uses a turkey baster to draw out metal from the bottom. "We want the deepest and most resilient concepts, from the depths of this ingot, not the frivolous ones like shape." The remainder of the pot is poured out, becoming a Vapid Ingot. It is clear, and soft. The baster is squirted back in, and the pendant tossed in as well. It is at this point that Dackly cracks open the ale. She starts to chug it as the pot boils and bubbles, turning from silver to white, then to a darker grey. "I need to be a bit *hic* Drunk, for this next part, or Oi'll overthing it. And overthingin it ruins the flavour." She slurs as the Empty barrel, drained in under a minute, clatters to the ground, it's rocky exterior unharmed.
  18. --Outside-- "Dig within the boundaries of the four pillars, their arrows point towards the center, and a central pillar points north." "Holes are marked by conical sandstones, if you see one, do not step within 4 meters of it." "Remember to enjoy yourself, and obtain water and shade, should you need it. We require holes rather than awe inspiring feats of endurance, after all." Mar says in turn, pointing at the pillars off in the distance, and some of the pads already made. Something like fog is floating above Mar, and the air feels wet and humid for some reason, Mar himself is channeling a grey gunmetal blue energy in his hands.
  19. "Ahhhh, Sweet divine healing. I know ye well. Well then, let's use every part of the time, so long as we are killing it anyway." Dackly says, leaping from Gozer's back in a helix frontflip and slithering away. She snatches a whole ingot in one hand, placing it under her armpit, and a sack of money containing 500 Zenni, and grabs a barrel of Humansafe Ale under another arm, and then grabs a robotic arm under a third arm, the third arm is the robot one. She then stalks off to find a kitchen, and eventually succeds. She pulls a Giant Pot, studded with blue gems, like some form of jade, and made of grey polished granite. This is hefted onto the reletively Tiny electric stove in the kitchen, which is set to 120 degrees, to give it time to heat up. Dackly washes her hands, and demands that Gozer wash his blocks. She then throws the Pendant into the pot, where it melts into a silvery liquid. Rummaging around, Dackly pulls out a wooden spoon from a nearby drawer and begins stirring, the pile of random junk set off to the side.
  20. "Thank Goodness, I was worried I would have to make some healing food to do the job." "Either way, we will need to go to the Kitchen, Dackly." She nods at this revelation. To her, what seems like a strange non-sequitur to Aurora is a simple fact, in order to fix the Brooch, the Kitchen is needed. "Do you know where this group keeps their junk? I will need some materials to repair it, obviously." Dackly asks.
  21. "Oh dang! That thing looks important. Want me to fix it?" Dackly comments, looking at the pile of slag with sincerity and a complete lack of gravitas. Gozer restrains himself from doing that thing where you get someone to shut up, followed by explaining that they should have talked with a bit less impudence.
  22. --Engine Room-- "My everything hurts. can someone direct me to the Kitchen?" Dackly says, managing to convey the motion of a limp into her slither as she winces, Eventually, she manages to heft herself onto Gozer, reclining like some Roman Emperor.
  23. --Engine Room-- Stealth Sneak Boss Theme: Squirming Darkness Vora enters the engine room, finding herself trapped inside by a barrier as she enters. Aurora, Samantha, Dackly and Gozer are fighting some kind of giant Lizard. (4d4+10=22*2=44+25%=55-5=50) (9d6+9=29+9=38*2=76-5=71) : T H E M E _ O V E R R I D E : The Wrath of the Gods Aurora's Radiant Shard and Samantha's Phoenix Corona Charge in synch, the pair of divine powers building in scope as their energies collide parralel to each other, crackling lightning arcing across the ground, and the air itself becoming luminous. A humming tone begins to fill the air, a whine of reality, complaining of the strain. Aurora and Samantha strike the Heartless at the same time, Divine Light and Psychic Fire combining together into a wave of the purest and most untainted destruction, Time and Space lose meaning for a mere moment in the tiniest spot of the center of the blast as the Stealth Sneak is completely erased, and dealing 121 Damage. All that remains is a single heart, floating off to another place, before disappearing entirely, and some assorted goodies, Like Golden Slips of Paper, and A Gear Component.
  24. --Engine Room-- Stealth Sneak Boss Theme: Squirming Darkness [Deals 1d6+Str damage and inflicts target with 1d8 Poison status lasting 3 turns. Poison-effect has 1CD] Aurora bites the giant Lizard, poisoning it, she deals (1d6+4=3+10=13-5) 8 damage to it in the process. It then takes (1d8=2) 2 damage from the poison in it's veins. Samantha bursts into flames and psychic power, gaining 9 RES for 3 Rounds! Gozer creates a Psychic Bomb, which can deal (3+1d4) damage! Dackly has a flash of realization, and flips through a scrapbook she has on her person, putting a finger on one of the pages. "I've seen this fellow before, He's a Metallic Stealth Sneak, A Metal colored Stealth Sneak, whose skin is Ideal for hiding in heavily mechanical areas. He has 100 Health Points, and can turn invisible. He's Also a Heartless, which, being made of Darkness, is REALLY weak to light!" (1d4=4) The Stealth Sneak Punches Dackly back into the wall again, dealing (1d12+8=9+8=17) 17 Damage! "Ugh! What is this guy's PROBLEM!" Dackly complains, wrenching herself from the wall. Gozer's Really Quite Neato Copper Sphere kicks in, giving Dackly +3 RES!
