  1. Guys and gals, I got an idea - since Eclipse body is an empty husk (as far as we know, maybe somebody remember more from Chandelure`s dex entries), and ZEL probably got split, what, if one of the girls` souls enter Eclipse`s body? It would be wicked when I think about her father, and I`d prefer more positive ending for Eclipse, like, Chandelure releasing her soul or so, but still it is possibility.

  2. A little bit too complicated theorycrafting imo, Ockham's razor guys; simpliest answers are the best. People cant recognise Lin, cos they saw her for a short time, a lot of years ago, yet they can remember such person. Btw Shade might as well be gender-fluid.

However some of this might be more or less on point, especially about Lin - Terra - Arceus connections, but I rather support theory, that Terrra has place in Meteor thx to her mysterious access to Arceus. Splitting time would make Lin`s ''adult'' body some kind of avatar, impostor, real Lin is driving this body from somewhere, or some time, like, hmm... Citae? Fact that Anna didnt see her indicates she`s ''empty''. Interesting, but remember guys, we dont have many episodes left to fit a lot of plot there, and there are other plotlines that need resolving.

I wonder how much of fun Ame and other people from old online league have when, or if, they`re reading such topics...

  3. This was widely discussed in another topic, check it for more conclusions and theories. In short, it`s been theorised that prophecy is a description of alternate reality, where Fern is a hero (that`s why he`s such a douche in current state - he ''feels'' that something`s not right and he`s meant to be the best one, not our character) and Jirachi`s wish caused it to reset, this maybe even occured more than once.

Characters more or less are guessed to be as above, but nothing is certain, taciturn woman gives a lot of possibilities, shining armour MAY fit Titania, but I dont think it is correct. Also, in my opinion, azure hair can also mean Amaria, and only re-dyed red hair is about Cal. Enemy of own blood is pretty obvious, Blake vs. Cal or Florinia vs. Fern, but the latter doesnt fit Fern as a hero scenairo. Also, disaster cracks down a city, and we havent witnessed it yet in this reality (nooo, new city is just marvelous) or somehow we prevented it - disaster switched with restoration.

I`ll place my bet that ''From there, the suited girl disapears'' part hints us that Shade used to be somebody different, and mere shadow is what is left of her.

  4. I guess we will finaly find out, WHY Meteor hides behind barrier and puts Agate into sleep. On less distant note - from unfinished businesses, the only one that involves desert, is Amaria and Titania. If it is not that, we either go into Agate or behind the barrier.

P.S: A thought came to my mind - what if we use Dragon`s Den twice, cos Saphira dies? Once again, replacement leader trick. It would sucks big time tough, overused cliche, and I dont think we have a spare character left.

That`s my whole troop roster, lower row in box is meant to be trained someday. I pick the most convenient team for any upcoming tasks, I dont care if IVs are perfect, if they are decent, I`m ok with it. Few ofthem EV trained, but man, this is one hell of a time consumer. I was lucky enough to get shiny Teddiursa and I love this sprite - black monster with guts and flameorb.

  6. Uhh, then I guess I did something wrong if I stormed through Shelly with Braixen + Arcanine with ease. On every playthrough this gym was one of the easiest for me. And similiar way of fight with Noel and Charlotte, Flash Fire Houndoom performs miracles. I like fire teams, generally I find fire type favoured in Reborn.

Just try different TMs, different mons, maybe even train one from a scratch, I`ve struggled with E16 leader few times, then I adapted my team just a little bit to his field and I beat him with 3 mons. In Reborn brute force wont work in most of the times, and type coverage is treacherous, leaders got their weaknesses covered.

Anna was the season 3 (and maybe also season 2?) Psychic leader for the online league. The only major characters who weren't in the online league are Solaris, ZEL, Taka, and Sirius.

Oh, okay, so this makes Anna being secondary psychic leader a little more plausible, but on the other hand, every leader`s death happened before we obtained badge, to force us to fight another one, so anyway, she`s either E4, or something suprising, that we haven`t seen yet.

Pretty sure that the Savage that the NPC is talking about is the Beartic of the Smoochum event. Aside from the fact that he's pretty close to S̼̥̘̟h̨̟̘̦͓̕͝ͅa̵̷̩̤̤͈̩̰̜͚d͟͏̘̼͎̥̮̖̕e̢̩ 's gym, the name of the trainer battle there is "Pokemon Savage."

    Spoiler

And what, this guy transformed into Pokemon? I fancy idea that we will meet him in a sidequest or event, it is not necessarily main character, and I dont think Ame would put this dialogue in game without reason, just to mention some Shade`s history facts.

  8. Character such as Anna wasn`t in Reborn online league, correct me if I`m wrong, thus she`s neither leader, nor leader-replacement, since every leader matches real person, with their role play; some in-game events are derived from real events, too. Yes, person like Fern really exists.

    Spoiler

Anyway, Anna is not champion too, yet she`s high in the league - this, plus other hints, like keystones, implies she`s elite four, there is no another option, since Ame was a champion till e16.

My bet is on Elias getting dismised from E4 position soon, one way or another, preferably he gets killed with marvelous special effects.

I can't find any invisible Kecleon in Silph Co. or Beryl Bridge (fitting, since it's invisible), and talking to the police chief does nothing. Is there something else I'm supposed to trigger for those Silph Co. and Corin-Rogue quests? Uhh unless the Corin-Rogue thing is actually the Magikarp salesmen quest, which I haven't been working on since the second trigger in North Peridot.

    Spoiler

To trigger Kecleon/Treecko quest, You must carry Devon Scope in your inventory, picked at the top floor of Devon building, then interact with ''invisible thing'' in Beryl Ward. Next you go to Silph building. Check, if you have Devon Scope already, if you do, go to troubleshooting for some1 to fix your save, I had this quest bugged and it didnt trigger.

  10. As people mentioned above, shock therapy IS a thing, and nowadays, it is painless (using right amperage and voltage matters), and what`s more, it has been reported effective and because of it favoured by patients over farmaceutics and their side effects, but it causes some mostly scientific controversy - effects doesnt seem to be permanent, in some cases lasting for days at best. Anyway, it isn`t very popular treatment, and surely wouldn`t be used in treating post-trauma shock, as in Heather`s case, so we can agree that it was abuse. And this isnt medical forum about medical simulator, as fas as I know...

    Kind of Ninja`d, heh.

This also shows how much of a monsters we are - they feared us to death. And yeah, I also liked how Zero paniced when he noticed he cant hear sisters anymore, he may bully Lumi, but still he was part of them, and cares for them. Kind of salty foster brother (I realised lovely pun that this could make in my native language, foster brother in it is something like stitched/sewn on brother...) Definetly one of the most interesting characters in Reborn. I`m more curious only about Lin-Solaris-Taka relation, what will happen here. I can imagine Solaris standing for his son against Lin, after all, it is his son, and Solaris seems to not certainly agree with Lin`s decisions.

I believe it was during the Water Treatment Center, though I don't remember exactly so it could have been revealed earlier.

Ah, okay, it was when we gave her Blue Moon Ice Cream instead of anything other, wasnt it. Anyway, thanks, it makes my speculations about Titania clearer.

Well I mean, trust me, I would have loved an option to refuse to fight (and then probably subsequently be forced to, anyway). That's pretty much what I wanted to do, since it was absolutely clear at that point that the three of them were panicking and not looking to confront you in any way. I've never wanted to fight a character in the game less, and the reason in this case isn't even because they're my favourites.
But it seems like Lin had reasons to want to dispose of them, and because she's a sadistic asshole, she decided you should do it.

ZEL were so messed up in that moment that I felt like their decision to fight you was the "fight" in fight or flight. They can't run, because that'd mean leaving Magnezone behind. They probably felt like they had their backs to the wall and attacked because they didn't even consider the chance that you would NOT try to destroy Magnezone. Zero seems to believe that you/your allies were responsible for hacking the PULSE. Which is why he calls you a liar after you say "no" to Lumi's question. Zero says "They're probably plotting to destroy Magnezone like all the other ones."
What reason would they have to assume that you might let them go and not touch the PULSE? You took down every PULSE you got near to.
They seemed to know things would go bad for them if Magnezone is damaged (Lumi: "But... If Magnezone is damaged--", "If we're gonna get through this, we need your help.", Zero: "No! Magnezone!"). I don't thin they were going to take the risk of waiting to see if you'd leave them be. What if they didn't battle you, and you'd get right to attacking Magnezone? If you look at the situation from their point of view, then the odds that you'll pass up the chance to destroy a PULSE don't look so good.

    Spoiler

Well, it is the best interpretation for this, but still it`s poor, I hope that ZEL`s story will be well-written in next episodes, justifying those actions somehow, and making best of of them, suprising us. To be honest, in my opinion this episode is weakest in terms of story from all, on the contrary to the amazing impression reworked city gives, with its sidequests and all. It was as high dose of thrill as upon entering reborn for the 1st time, when heavy climate hits you, but ofc this time we look in awe at the magnificent city. Maybe I hoped only for some more team fighting action with gang guys before disbanding, like them storming for the rescue somewhere, or assault meteor base arm to arm with them, or so, I`d love it.

    Spoiler

Lin is surely sadistic, but she spared us so far from any tortures or so, at last if we proved we are strong trainer. She will surely make some use of us, or at last will try to, I cant see another reason for letting us go so many times.

Whether we're ultimately better or worse than (some of) the Meteors probably lies in the eye of the beholder, as very few characters in the story managed to keep their hands clean so far.
But in regards to your original post about this: I don't think it is fair to blame what happened to ZEL entirely on the player. It seems too strongly implied that Lin set you up for that one.
She could have stopped you. She was literally in a room with you and could have done whatever with you. She didn't. Instead, she allows you to proceed all the way to ZEL and Magnezone, even orders them not to harm you.
If she had wanted to buy them time to fix Magnezone or otherwise prevent you from going up there and destroying stuff, she very well could have. Because she certainly didn't count on ZEL to be able to stop you, not when she knows how many times you've beaten them, the PULSE 'mons, and every other Meteor besides herself.
The player carried out the deed, but in the end it looks like we simply did exactly what Lin wanted.

    Spoiler

Exactly, the player carried out the deed, and fact that Lin wanted that, makes it even worse in my opinion, we werent threatened or forced in any way to attack. We could have been allowed maybe to deny the fight, let ZEL escape, or wait for Magnezone to explode itself from malfunction for game purpose, cos I guess it would be way too complicated and time-consuming to create branched story, i.e. ZEL joining us, but still I dont like the outcome of those events.

I understand that its purpose was to show how Lin can manipulate us, and probably manipulated us before, nonetheless, I sympathise with ZEL this time. Answering ''no'' to Eve`s question, if we came to destroy everything, leaves very little space for reasonable purpose to this fight, other than ZEL`s suicide, since they must knew they are going to lose.

It started working after I redownloaded the game and uploaded save in troubleshooting (for another bug, with kecleon event), but thx anyway :)

Titania was bribing information out of Team Meteor in order to let Amaria know what they're up to, or to protect her, or something like that. I forget the exact reason, but it involved Amaria. This was revealed in E15 IIRC.

    Spoiler

I remember Titania dealing with Meteor guy, but I can`t remember any scene actually reaveling why she was doing this (tough it would make sense, since it was Amaria who investigated Blacksteam factory with us, possibly after Titania hinted her). Besides reason, do you recall at which point in the game it was revealed? We had to make a right choice at some point, or trigger something, somewhere?

btw no amount of sad backstory will make Team meteor good guys

It is not about Meteor being good guys, it is about them being less-evil guys - than us.

*catches pitchfork* ops, sorry mate, forgot about putting it into spoiler, this one time, just about for one guy to read it :P . Luckily, I didnt reveal anything important, like, Fern becoming Champion in this chapter or so. Just some speculations plus stuff you surely knew from previous chapters.
