Lars von Trier is a movie director who makes controversial and shocking, yet often very artistic and even sophisticated movies. He doesn't shy back from picking up themes that most movie makers wouldnt touch and he often pictures very dark and obscene moments in great detail. The majority of critics have frowned upon his work for a long time and many film festivals and cinemas outright refused to present his movies for a long time, yet he is critically acclaimed by a large number people for crossing boundaries of the film industry. For example, in his latest movie "The house that Jack built" he shows the personal development from an architect (named Jack) into a sadistic serial killer who brutally murders his victims (he is shown cutting of a womans breasts and killing children) and collects body parts in his freezer to build a house made of human flesh.
And while Pokemon Reborn is not entirely as dark and gory as this, I also appreciate the darkness of the early game and that it touches upon things which happen every day in real life, but which Nintendo would never put into a game. I think that makes Reborn a very relatable experience for many people. While probably unintended, it appears to somewhat mirror society.

I'm actually impressed that Joseph Mengele held out as long as he did.
If he had been caught by the Allies, he would have undoubtedly be sentenced to hang once they found out how he treated Holocaust Victims, especially the children. The medical malpractice and inhumane experiments that he conducted during the Holocaust still give me nightmares, like the famous "conjoined twins" experiment.
But the man himself held out for 34 years as a fugitive. He escaped the Nuremberg trials because the Allies thought he was dead. He managed to get a fake ID and live under it for a while. He worked as a carpenter for a while.
When a request was made for him to be extradited in Argentina, It wasn't approved until after he fled to Paraguay.
The Israeli Intelligence Agency (Mossad) was on a Manhunt for him. But he managed to avoid them.
How did he go out? He was never caught. He was swimming, one day, and he had a stroke. Then he drowned. He was buried under the name "Wolfgang Gerhard".
I absolutely do not condone his activities during the Holocaust. If you are a sane human being, then you wouldn't, either. But... I can't help but be impressed by how long he held out after the Holocaust.

My former friend at Mossad told me how his mother found out that Mengele had killed her mother. He was doing some kind of "surgery" on her and when she started crying for her mom Mengele put on a creepy smile and told her to get used to the idea of never seeing her mother again. What made this man into the person he was wasnt just a lack of conscience. He was sadistic and actually enjoyed physically and psychologically tormenting others. Maybe he later lied to himself when told his son that he never hurt anyone, however, there was an Austrian female doctor named Ella Lingens who was imprisoned in Auschwitz for resisting the Nazi regime and she later gave testimony that Mengele made great efforts to cover his tracks and even tried to bribe her as a doctor in order to have a witness for his claim that all he ever did was normal medical and anthropological research. He also ordered all of his surviving victims and witnesses to be killed before he fled Auschwitz and the only reason why the SS did not comply with that order was because they had run out of Zyklon B by the wars end and some of them decided not to use bullets instead. I believe that Mengele was fully aware of what he did and that he actually relished in it.

I dont think Mossad actually wanted to catch him. I dont know why they wouldnt want to, but I have personally known several Mossad agents and if they had actually wanted him caught, he would have been. Perhaps he knew things that weren't supposed to be released to the public during a trial. One of said Mossad agents I have personally known was the son of a woman who got experimented on and sexually abused by Mengele. He told me that his mother would lose consciousness or have a panic attack each time someone mentioned Mengeles name around her. (She had to witness her own mother and siblings being killed by him)
When I asked said Mossad agent why they didn't catch Mengele like they did with Eichmann, he simply told me he wasnt allowed to speak about it, but that it was an issue that filled him with lots of bitterness. So I highly doubt that there is any reason at all to admire Mengele in any way, not even for his supposed skills at escaping justice.

In my experience, thats the wrong approach. Finding love shouldn't be a passion or an ultimate goal which you constantly have in mind. I cant explain it very well, but if you are obsessed with romanticism, other people will begin to distance themselves from you. This attitude "I want to find love, someone please love me" works like Repel in the Pokemon world does. People subconsciously won't allow themselves to become too close to you anymore once they know that thats what you are after, even if they aren't aware of it themselves.

The more you focus on your loneliness and the more you keep dreaming about a wife and kids, the more distracted you become from improving yourself, which is a prerequisite for any functioning relationship. You will either meet your soulmate, or you won't. But constantly overthinking it only causes you to stagnate and become depressed.

The fact that you have to try to be positive about it in order to reassure yourself shows that you in truth consider it as quite a big deal. My advice would be to actually stop caring about it at all. Either you will find a suitable partner, or you won't. But constantly overthinking it just distracts you from more important things and drags you down, without changing anything for the better.

Given how hard it is for us to find and battle some of the Gym leaders in Reborn, how is it possible that all the trainers we meet have Pokemon at a Level thats about equal to ours? Wouldn't they all require the gym badges as well in order for their Pokemon to listen to them?
-
It would have been more logical to establish it as some form of actual law in the Pokemon world like: "Those who challenge the league have the obligation to keep their Pokemon underneath a certain level for fairness, otherwise their Pokegear will detect it and emit an ultra sonic noise only to be heard by the over-leveled Pokemon which will cause the Pokemon to go frenzy and disobey. Those who dont challenge the league are free to train their Pokemon to whichever level they like." In my opinion, something like this would make a little more sense, as it would also explain why veteran trainers such as Victoria who choose to challenge the league have to begin from a low level again, while other trainers who dont try to earn the badges such as the Elite 4 can have Pokemon at maximum level if they want to.
