    I was attempting to evolve my sliggoo into goodra at agate circus against clown indra. During the battle, I had milotic change the weather to rain during the battle and when it leveled up to 52 during the battle it did not evolve after the battle.

     

    If it helps, the overworld weather was snow (hail) before the fight. It also leveled twice, once from 50 to 51 while hail was active, then 51 to 52 while rain was active.

     

    Sorry if this one is known.

     

    it needs to be raining in the overworld, not during the battle 

    so rain dance wouldn't count

    try levelling in Main Reborn city, it rains there forever :P at least for me

    if i remember correctly, we got the field notes and dex after exiting the room Ciel was in

    so i'm not sure whether you'll have those if you're anywhere else when you use a E15 save file in E16

    Is this a bug or do I have to get those from a particular place?

    Pulse dex and field notes in the Pokegear was introduced only in E16 so it wont be there in previous eps

    not really. so how pick up works is this

    after every battle, every mon with pickup has 10% of creating an item

    the item depends on the level of the mon

    higher the level, better the item

     

    yes you'll have to manually take the item from the mon after a battle

    but it's not always there after a battle (because there's only 10% chance of item)

    that's why people usually have 5-6 pokemon with pickup ability

    so when they go to grind for EVS or something they take the pickup team with them 

    this maximises chances of creating an item when you have more mons with pick up ability

    looks like your best option is either the tauros/ bouffalant in route 1

    (but they''re quite high levelled for EV training IMO)

     

    or...i have another option but this is only from expereince

    you can find butterfree and beautifly (both very common) in peridot ward grass

    so you can use them for training special attack (they both give 3 base sp.attk EV)

     

    HP:

    ducklett/audino in the tanzan cove is how i do it

     

    i think the guide mentioned above ^^

    should be valid for most places (except the water places of course) 

    no more easy grimer HP EV :(

    so i've been breeding some mons for my main and rotation team 

    so the abilities are sometimes not the one i want

     

    i know the ACs are sold in agate circus and in 7th Street but the price keeps increasing and now its quite expensive for me to buy one

    is there any other way to get these capsules?

    maybe a location guide to all the ingame ones???

     

    I would appreciate any form of help/ advice :)

    then let it hold the relevant power item (anklet, band, belt, bracer, lens or weight)

    usually sp.attk or attk

    then quickly grind at the 2 woobat spots in Peridot ward again and again till it maxes out

    then i take off the speed EV using EV reducing berries or the EV removing disc sold in the new peridot ward market

     

    this method is the best especially if speed is one of the stats you're maxing out on EV

    then you dont even need to remove the speed EV then! :) 

    it takes me no more than 10 mins to max my mons EV this way ;)
