  1. Alright, I'll get to it. And for the sake of keeping this thread less cluttered by it, I'll move this talk to PM's, alright? JazzyFur?
  2. It's closer to evening where I am. JazzyFur?
  3. Well, I have a first draft of a map right here. Forgive me for the horrible quality. Map in first spoiler, details/explanation in the second. K_H, tell me what I should try to change and I'll try...a bit later, as of this post I have to leave in ~40-45 minutes for ~2-3 hours.
  4. You know I was in Showdown basically all day, right? BMIC?
  5. Alright, I've got a (mostly) free day tomorrow, I'll try to make it. One question though: Just how big, roughly, do you expect the game world to be and what should there be, as in, I expect there will be a core town for Pokemon living together from humans, with locations going from there. But how much variety, roughly? Ruins, maybe even some human settlements beyond the huge valley that I might make be surrounded by the mountains so only hikers and the like would get to it etc. Because I can make a world with no human settlements or even traces of humanity just fine. K_H?
  6. Huh... The problem is that I tend to base maps on something else. I mean I can try to make something from scratch, but it would be a pretty basic and/or bad map tbh. I mean I can try to make something in paint, but that's about it. K_H?
  7. Finally defeated the E4+Champion in Pokemon Black. I finally completed the game proper.

  8. [OOC] ...yes? I assume you have a USB port, most keyboards use those (Or you can get a wireless one, I prefer wired, personally). [/OOC] The group of four, slowly but surely, made it to the gaping hole in the cliff face. They enter the dark and damp cave, using what little light manages to filter in through the entrance to get to the far end of the chamber, where a small archway leading to a long and black tunnel awaits. "Alright, we made it. The tunnel is small enough for us to squeeze through while making pursuit by others...awkward, to say the least." The Dewott spoke up. "Beyond it lies a large valley where very few humans appear. At least I've never seen any beyond here, only rumors of one or two occasionally showing up. We should be safe once we make it through." "Hm, it's completely pitch black, though. Hey, Braixen. Will you be able to light a fire with your staff and lead us?" the Glaceon asked of the mysterious fire-type. "Afraid of a little darkness, eh?" the Braixen chuckled to themselves a bit before calming down. "Alright, it's better then crashing into walls head-first at least. I'll try to go slowly so you two can keep up, alright?" Both Arcanine and Glaceon nodded. They were not in the best of conditions to move fast, not that it would be really feasible to do so in the darkness. "Dewott, can you please stay at the back to protect us in case someone does try to follow us? It helps to not take risks." Arcanine asked of the water-type, who simply nodded in agreement. And with that, Braixen, with a flick of their paw, lit a small fire which started producing a glow of light. With shadows dancing among the walls, the fire-type entered the archway first. Arcanine limped right behind them, still not really capable of putting pressure on his front right leg. Glaceon staggered right behind the fiery canine, trying to conserve her energy until she knew they reached safety. Finally, Dewott went through last, for the sake of keeping the other three safe from any surprise attacks. And thus, they head into the murky darkness, a small ember of flame guiding their path through the darkness. And thus, that is the story of how these four unlikely souls, abandoned or otherwise undesired by human society, met each other. Was it a meeting of mere chance, or fate? Only time will tell. But this meeting, as it happens, will be merely the start of something big, the start of an epic adventure that will accompass not just these four, but many others. Until then... To be continued. [OOC] Please forgive me for the...rather inelegant, perhaps, ending. I'll be honest, I hadn't planned this far ahead. If you think it's necessary, I can try to rewrite it a bit, add some extra details, but this is kind of where I wanted to end it off on. I can add in an epilogue where the four make it through the tunnel, but I don't know how that would go, to be honest. (It also helps I won't be needing the OOC tags, at least not for a little while at least) How do you feel about this ending, JazzyFur? [/OOC]
  9. I have gotten such a huge appreciation for Acolyte of Pain in arena it's ridiculous. It has been probably THE MVP of this arena run.

  10. Why are you using a controller to type? No access to a keyboard? BMIC?
  11. Alright. I think tomorrow , as soon as I am able I'll write the ending to this small RP session we've done. Unless, of course, you're all up for more, but even then maybe it would be better delegated to a different thread. It was quite an enjoyable experience, I must say, and I am happy to have gotten a chance to do this with you guys. BMIC, your thoughts?
  12. I can't really say it's been very fast. So far the year's been fairly slow for me. And yeah, Iwas also really hoping that K_H would show up and help us finish up, but he seems to have dissapeared. BMIC?
  13. Still here. Tempted to continue RP'ing, but at this point it's like "There's no point in continuing, let's leave this as a one-off for now." Spine?
  14. I dunno, something about the present or presents or...something. Spine?
  15. Page 1045 with my posts, but it really took off on page 1049 when K_H and BMIC joined in with JazzyFur not far behind. Speaking of, K_H?
  16. Alright, I guess it would be fair to finish this up... Taking one last glance over her shoulder, the Glaceon noticed, in relief, that the trainer was running away, most likely back towards a Pokemon Center. While there was no danger from her, who knows who might still be there. As such, the four continued to make their way towards the tunnel beyond which they would be safe. "I guess some introductions would be in order. I...well, I don't really have a name. My former trainer was quite a cruel one, constantly beating me and the other Pokemon for not, as he would constantly say, "living up to his expectations". We all hated him, and to be honest, he wasn't even that good of a trainer, constantly making stupid decisions. Once, he sent me out against a Typhlosion instead of someone else on the team who would have been strong against fire..." the ice-type reminisced, with a sad and pained look on her face. "One day, I simply could not take it anymore and attacked back, biting him in the arm. Needless to say, I was tossed out and shunned by everyone related to him. Perhaps...perhaps that was for the best... Ever since then I've been wandering the plains, forests and the like, with a fear and mistrust for humans..." Glaceon shuddered for a bit upon uttering these words at the thought that she was this close to becoming a trainers pet...no, slave, in her mind, again. "Well, that's my story. What about you? I heard Dewott say how he was abandoned for being, supposedly in his trainers eyes, "Too weak". What about you, Braixen? Do you wish to share your story?" the ice-type asked, turning her head a bit towards them. JazzyFur, you wish to continue?
  17. They really are, and I really enjoyed participating in this (admittedly impromptu) session...you want to end it as is or do you want to add some finality with everyone introducing themselves and getting to the cave? Just asking. BMIC?
  18. "You too, huh? Sounds like we're all of the same fate, abandoned, with a mistrust for humans. Perhaps...perhaps it is for the best if we stuck together, if you're willing." the Glaceon replied to the Braixen's comment about fate. Anything to add, BMIC?
  19. I have no idea what any of these are aside from basic vanilla, so that's what I went with.
  20. I'm kind of torn. On one hand it would be nice to see how they went, what the yays and nays are, but on the other hand I want to make my own opinions, to experience it fresh and with...kind of unedited feelings, like "Wow, this is really amazing how it's going!". Oh, and don't get me wrong, as much as I'd like to see such an RP, I'm not forcing you to make it. I'm just saying that if you do decide to do so I'd be among those who would definitely join. JazzyFur?
  21. It just kind of happened I'm not complaining, it's quite fun. I really would like to participate in a PMD-esque RP. JazzyFur?
  22. Thanks Tempest for the post. Now I can do this without editing or double-posting... ([OOC] All my yes if you do make it. I'm gonna make long posts catching up on all the posts for if there were a number of them for me to catch up. If there were only a few (like 1-3) I'll just push forward. As it is... [/OOC]) Bracing for the worst, the Glaceon was ready to put in one last burst of strength to dodge the thrown Poke Ball. Turns out it was unnecessary because the wild Dewott proceeded to not only deflect the thrown sphere, but also block the Delcatty's attack. She heard the water-type speak about how he was abandoned by his trainer as well. "So he's like me, abused and abandoned, left with a distaste for these humans..." the ice-type thought before she collapsed. While the Glaceon still had the strength for one last run, that's about it. The injuries were starting to pile up. There was also the worry for the wild Arcanine who was starting to stand up and continue the fight, who also took a nasty blow... Just then, a Braixen jumped down next to the struggling girl, and, after a brief glance at Dewott, turned to the Glaceon, asking if she was alright. "...guh. No, I'm not. I barely...have any strength left..." the ice-type stammered out through the pain. At roughly this moment her eyes turned to the Dewott who managed to land a major blow to the Delcatty. Not enough to knock it out entirely, but enough to leave it weakened. "Yo, foxy!" she overhears the friendly Arcanine call out to Braixen, who turns to him with an...annoyed look. A quick discussion of a plan ensued between the two, the Braixen ultimately agreeing to it. They unleash a blast of fire at the Arcanine who seems to become empowered by the flames. "Yikes, I hope the heat isn't TOO intense otherwise I might faint just from it!" the thought races in Glaceon's mind, as she struggled to get up on her feet. Dewott, who by this point had noticed what was happening, leaped back next to the Fire and Ice-types in order to avoid what was coming next. "Now!" the word was given and Braixen put up a wall of magical energy, shielding them from the heat. The friendly Arcanine then unleashed a powerful wave of superheated air, which proved too much for the weakened Delcatty to endure. The trainer seemed to have gotten burned by the blast of air and even her Arcanine seemed to struggle to endure it. "Wow...I can't believe what is happening. I didn't expect so many to come out and help me..." Glaceon thought to herself, feeling surprised and relieved. After the fire had dissipated, Dewott jumped forward and, taking advantage of the scenario, finished off the trainer's Arcanine with a powerful pulse of water. "I'd say that we need to go into the cave now, before the Trainer gets any bright ideas, as well as a just-in-case for if they have any other Pokémon that they want to use." the water-type shouted to the rest of the wild Pokemon. Glaceon was not going to argue against that, it was her plan from the beginning to escape into the cave. She struggled to her feet, after having ducked down to brace for the Heat Wave. "Kid, can you get up?" she heard the Braixen's voice as she put a paw on her. "...yeah, I can stand. I don't have the strength left to fight, but I can still stand, walk and maybe run a short distance if the need arises. Thank you all for helping me out there, I would have been a goner if you three hadn't saved me." the Ice-type spoke, loudly enough for all three of her saviors to hear. She turned to the Arcanine who seemed to be in pain. The Delcatty's Retaliate did quite a number on him, especially on his front right leg. Slowly she limped over to the fire-type. "Are you alright? You took quite a blow. Either way, we should go. I think it will be for the best if we all stuck together for now, in case the trainer tries something else." Glaceon said to the others before turning to the cave, ready to go, albeit still in pain. "...I can't believe I got so lucky...maybe it was fate that brought us together like this?" a thought went through her head as she set off at a pace that is about as fast as she can realistically muster with the strength she has left after the battle, trying to keep pace with the other three. BMIC, we won't leave you behind. It's best if we all go together. ([OOC] That took a lot longer to type then I thought it would. [/OOC])
  23. Just posting now to reaffirm that I haven't forgotten this: as soon as I am able I'll make a proper post. It is going to be VERY long, though, as I'll be catching up on everything since my last RP post. You have been warned. K_H?
  24. Just so you know, I'm still away from my PC, likely gonna be that way for the next...5 or so hours. I can keep reading up (and I must say, I'm enjoying it), but I can't really make an IC post until I'm back. Just so you know and shouldn't expect much from me for the next few hours. JazzyFur?
  25. Whew. Work on the field is hard, but if I can help my parents out with that, it's all worth it.
