If the Final Fantasy VII remake removes the Destruction of Sector 7 scene purely because people in America find it too similar to 9/11 and get offended, I'd be pissed.

But at least the original will always be there.

Maybe it would be forgivable for MGS2, since the reason for the removal of the scene Arsenal Gear crashing into Manhattan was 9/11, because 9/11 just happened and MGS2 is not a remake of a classic. But Final Fantasy VII is a classic, and removing parts of a classic just because they offend people is a practice that I do not approve of. And its been 17 years. I understand it was a tragedy, but don't let it interfere with a fictional story from 1997.
