Actually don't judge a book by a part of it. Read the entire book, then judge it.

Otherwise it's like saying you hate a food because it's hard to cook it.

I've always seen introducing myself as the hardest part of talking to people. I kind of want to skip it and just jump straight into a conversation sometimes. 

I've read stories that are similar, where I didn't enjoy the beginning very much but liked them more as they progressed, and the same with movies and games.
