Seymore takes the first swing at the soldier, knocking him off balance. Elsewhere, Kerr crosses the hills to catch the swordsman off guard. Surprised by his approach and dazed by the blow, the swordsman misses his counterattack. Argos engages the fighter in the trees. The terrain fails to protect the axeman, and he takes two solid blows, missing his own counterattack. Cheat Sheet:

[ ENEMY PHASE ] Merc 2 moves to P11 and attacks Ceridwen. The intrepid swordsman sees the dragon knight and rushes in, eager to prove himself. Fighter 3 moves to O13. "Ah! Look, there they are!" Michi's spell is enough to knock out the swordsman and he, while not dead, falls like a sack of flour to the ground. Taking a dirt nap. [ ENEMY PHASE ] Archer 2 attacks Ceridwen. The archer attempts to knock out the rider again, but this time Ceridwen is much more focused, and evades the arrow entirely. Cav 4 moves to M10 and attacks Seymore, and Cantos to M12. The horseman decides that the axe-wielding man is his best bet, and engages him. The two exchange blows before he retreats slightly. [ ALLIED PHASE ] "Enough of this, you. You'll terrorize us Knights with your arrows no longer." Johanna moves to P8 and attacks Archer 2, and Cantos back to O10. Two swift blows from her axe is enough to bring the archer to his knees. Fallon's blast of dark magic strikes the horseman dead on. And Kris' follow-up is enough to knock him off his horse and send him into retreat. Cheat Sheet:

Kris' knife throw is the last straw, and the mercenary decides he's had enough. [ ENEMY PHASE ] Archer 2 moves to P7 and attacks Ceridwen. The archer's arrows pierce through the green knight's defenses, knocking her to the ground. Merc 4 moves to O6 and attacks Dulcibella. One strike from an incoming mercenary lands on the archer, doing some damage. Cav 1 moves to L10, attacks Fallon, and Cantos to L11. The cavalier rides up. His lance blow is answered by Fallon's magic, each hitting their mark, before he rides away. Cav 3 moves to L10 and attacks Fallon. Thankfully for the mage, this cavalier isn't quite as on the mark, his lance missing by a margin. Cav 2 moves to M12 and attacks Johanna. While his blow lands solidly, he comes out much the worse for wear out of the two and is forced to retreat. Cav 4 moves to M13. [ ALLIED PHASE ] Breathing hard from her engagement, Johanna adjusts her grip on the axe in her hand, gathering her strength again. "Are you all right?" she asks Fallon, trying her best to keep her voice level, as though he were any other member of the Guard, any other ally. She's not sure she's ever felt ready to take command of a squadron, but even less so here, with him ironically among those she now led. She wonders what he feels. Does he even remember? Does he even care? Idriss lifts into the air alights on a nearby hill, and she wonders... is he proud? Rather than pursue the other horsemen herself, she wishes to see what the rest of the Guard are capable of. "Calissian horsemen to the south! Are any of you able to help?" Move to O10 and Vuln. After all, she'd gone to the academy away from home, managed herself pretty well if she did say so herself, and she'd left Emries all on her own too, and had made it this far.
