I've only watched streams of the new God of War. Looks hella cool, RPG part of the game with the armor shops is something I didn't get on board yet and I'm not sure if the new camera angle is annoying or necessary.
Played the first GoW and loved it, one of my personal favorites of all time. It still owes me so I'll be replaying that some day, I stopped at the last boss fight cause life. There's also this post game challange in the menu which is hella fun. Again, never finished that one. On the last challange my controller spazzed out in such a way that my panic pressing and it's madness made me exit the game. With a smile on my face, I smashed that controller.
GoW 2 was amazing too, 3rd one was out of my reach. PsP Chains of Olympus was also hella fun.
In the end I'd probably choose replaying the old franchise over this new thing. even if I was to look at both games for the first time In my life. Hack and slash + puzzles is fun

Had the starter trio - blue, red and yellow. Yellow became my main game due to sprites, it changed colors when you entered another area and it had an option of getting all 3 starters! In my mind starter pokemon were one of the best because they were so rare. My level 30 Pikachu ended up forgotten in a box.

Right, jokes aside I should have thrown something useful here. I don't think I've ever had a team of 6 that just beat everything and anything, intense mode asks for a specific strategy from time to time. You can get a lot of help on the forums for when you get stuck too.
Fennekin alone is probably enough for the first gym with Psybeam at level 17. There's no way you should pass on Rockruff, definitely get one of those. Always thought Vivillon early game is quite useful as well (another psybeam level 17). Xatu is your guy for the second and third gym. I would use Hariyama as well, bulky and strong (not to mention it makes a mince out of Angie) I have no freakin' idea what straight out beats Narcissa, use to be Pyroar. Maybe Woobat can, you'd be suprised how useful that little fucker can be with Simple ability. Valerie I heard gets pummeled by Amoongus which can be found in the same jungle where the battle is. Maybe a Manectric can help out. Maybe you turned your Eevee into Jolteon? I don't know, smoother sailing involves Blaziken against everything (Blaziken blasted even Valerie in my case)
I mean you get the idea, there is a solution for every single gym battle prior to that battle, just gotta be creative and figure it out. Who knows, maybe Mystery Egg drops you an Axew and solves everything right then and there.

Lil rusty on the TMs yo but as much diverse offense as you can stack really. It's what choice items are all about!

I'm a choice scarf fan + 4 attacking moves. Hits hard and fast and can take a hit most of the time.

Xatu with Ominous Wind and Stored Power works like a charm because Ominous Wind breaks the field and if you get stat procs, Stored Power makes short work of your foe. Damn thing needs to be moved somewhere later in the game considering how easily it beats 2nd and 3rd gym battles.
A buddy of mine recommends Espeon if you'd rather go that way.

The girl east of Akuwa town doesn't move. Am I required to wait for Akuwa town to be repopulated before saving her or something?

There's a quest in the help center in Gearan city named "Dangerous Pokemon." Litleo is a reward for completing it

Rejuvenation (intense mode) - Crawii was/is/always will be free along with Flora while Narcissa never gives in on a first try. Valerie also beats me at least once.
Reborn - Shelly the cakewalk, Florinia the unexpected bully
Honestly non is really a problem or really easy, comes down to the pokemon you brought.
CORRECTION EDIT: After completely sweeping Angie with a pretty bad team for her - It's about how well you use your Blaziken. I never understood why everyone said it's the S+ tier in these games until a random machine spit it out in Rejuvenation V10

Too bad, intense mode early game went nuts with V10. At first glance some fights seem hopeless. It almost made me happy about losing my old save file. But maybe you aren't into that? Have fun!
