Hey everyone, I’m going to help you play reborn on you favorite Linux box. I have personally tried this on Debian, Fedora, Gentoo, and Arch. Its plain and simple for us.
We will be using WINE to run reborn for us. (There is no need to remove any files like the Mac version.) Its just a simple few steps.
Keep in Mind I can not place pictures for this at this moment due to my personal system.
Step One: Open up your favorite terminal program.
Step Two: This is where the distros will differ a bit.
Arch- Issue a “sudo pacman -Syu” then a “sudo pacman -S Wine"
Debian- Issue a “sudo apt-get update” then a “sudo apt-get install wine”
Ubuntu-same as above, (not personally tested, you may need to add a PPA)
Gentoo- Please make sure you know what version is stable for your system and your packages are all up to date, then emerge wine into your system.
Fedora 23- Issue a “sudo dnf update” then a “sudo dnf install wine”
Fedora 24-same as above. ( I have NOT personally tested this one, it may be unstable)
Step Three: Right click on the downloaded reborn zip file and extract the internal folder to where you would like it. ( I personally use my documents folder, aka /home/%USER%/Documents"
Step Four: Go into the newly extracted files and right click the game.exe file and run it with WINE.
Step Five: Let wine Configure itself.
Step Six: Enjoy!!
Feel free to PM with any problems. If I can help I will,
EDIT: I will be testing more distributions, and more diverse installs of linux over time, and I will note any problems I come across.
