    You can try going back to V7 and going to the ship, I think the only safe save place is the house on the shore of Route 5 after surfing across the water. V8.1 should be coming soon, one of the bugs fixed in V8.1 is this one.

    You can go back to V7 and go to the ship after. As far as I'm aware the only safe place is inside the house at the shore on route 5.

    You have to go to Tesla's Villa and go to the pool, Amber's room ins in that room. If you're talking about after talking to her in there, you have to go east, to Kristiline Town, and go into the palace (might need to go to the TM shop first though.)
