Yeah, I've been putting in some decent work at the moment, but I've been trying to avoid certain posts, and since I got screwed over by my school, I won't have nearly as much money to pay for new artworks and other things this year. But, for everyone reading - I am working on my game, but I've been kind of on the down-low about what all I've been doing.
I plan on posting a new video soon, for my game, as it showcases a part in the game, where you can play as an additional, 7th character that is only a temporary party member and can only be played as for this one battle.

Update: I've been a little busy the past week and haven't done anything too major. However, I did put in some time to insert all of the character's idle animations that are tied to specific costumes in-game. Now, every character has all of their idle animations. What does this mean for you, the player? Nothing, since most people probably don't care about idle animations or any of my dick-stroking that I do talking about it.
Also, transformed Pokemon now have an aura around their bodies, which I had inserted for funzies, also because I could. This was done so that way it was easy to distinguish between a Verdant-Transformed Eevee, which always appears shiny, vs. a regular shiny Eevee and so on. I plan on livestreaming this weekend, but I also started pondering certain things as well, in relation to not just my game, but life decisions as well. That much, I won't really go into.

So, due to recent events, irl, I am unfortunately going to have to cancel this upcoming contest. However, if things end up going well, over the course of the next few months, I will hopefully host another one, soon. For now though, the current contest, even though it hasn't started yet, will be put off, until further notice.

That move you're referring to is what's called a Verdant Arte, and each character has 2 for their main Pokemon. To use them, depending on which move you're going to use, requires a certain amount of Focus. Renegade Strike is a one-hit KO Verdant Arte, and those require all of your Focus. You can use them as many times as you like in battle, but building up Focus takes awhile, since it only builds when you take damage or deal damage. Or use Focus Sparks outside of battle.

Due to some stupid, irl issues I've been experiencing the contest will actually be extended for an additional 2 weeks, before I call the results. This doesn't change the start date for the contest, but, it does change the ending date for it, because of Dentist Bills interfering with shit and shit. So, the ending date is estimated to be October 14th or so, depending. Once, I hear definitive news on the School Refund that I'm getting around late Sept./Early October, will be what decides when the ending date will be.
Otherwise, there is still 2 weeks remaining before the contest officially starts! So, for those of you who participated in the previous contest, feel free to try your hand again, if you'd like to have another go at it!
Also, I'm deciding if I should change the theme of the contest to be something... more simple, rather than it being battle focused. What do you guys think?

A question to my readers: How do you all prefer my updates? Do you prefer to see them in the morning/afternoon/night? Also, how do you prefer the format to being? Also, new update in regards to ze game.
New location: Horizon City - Lighthouse Island.
This island was originally accessible, in the earlier versions of the game, but I expanded it so that way the player can now get the new swimsuit costumes ver. 1 and ver. 2, as well as serving for Vivian gaining access to her own, personal, Shaymin. Because, yes, you can enter the Flower Paradise, from the northern part of Lighthouse Island. The shack featured in the lower part of the first screenshot serves as the location for where you get the swimsuit costumes for all the characters, via an event where Vivian (because I love doing this to Vivian, hahah), is chosen as the next swimsuit model for the shack, as well as possibly being featured in Pokemon Trainer's Swimsuit Magazine Monthly. The graves featured in the 2nd screenshot are past caretakers of Shaymin Village, with the 5th, 7th, and 10th caretaker's graves being accessible. Vivian is, "unofficially", the 13th caretaker of Shaymin Village. Checking those graves is what triggers the event for Shaymin to take you to the Flower Paradise, the first time. Afterwards you can go there anytime, by checking the grave on the nearby, small island.
These maps are also one of the first maps that actually utilize Krista's "Call for Help" ability the most, which allows her to surf on the back of a Wailmer. That said, this special in-game, optional event can only be triggered AFTER you finish the Northern Base and Androids Arc of the game - much like most character specific, optional events like this. Same goes for the swimsuit - you can only have the swimsuit modeling event trigger after you finish the Northern Base and Androids Arc.

Also, new artwork for battle damaged Vice, during the Final Boss fight of the game. Yeah, in the final battle Vice gets pretty fucked up.

SO, for those of you unfamiliar, my game has a host of 10 costumes that the player can wear, once unlocked. I have a video of it on my YouTube channel, for those interested.
I had a random thought come to my mind, and that was "fan-service". I had this thought, when I was looking back at several of the Tales games and how they went about their use of fan-service, and then it struck me: let's do more with that. And you know when that comes to mind, you just know that I'm going to do something ridiculous. Like what? Well, I thought about doing more with the swim suit designs, because... why not? XD Well actually it's because I wanted to depict them (mostly the females) in actually their swimsuits. So, you'd be able to play as them with them partially clothed, and with just swimsuits on. The males will get a redesign that functions as just a 2nd swimsuit for them. And I intend for these to be as... *ahem* fan-servicey as possible, because why not? The scenes will also have different and unique scenes for each character as well, rather than them posing in front of a green-screen.
In a nut-shell, this is 2nd helping of upcoming swimsuits is JUST for fan-service, and can be unlocked as soon as you obtain the 1st set.

So, manga news: Here are some progress details on some story-boards in relation to the manga pages. Been working hard with my manga artist to get pages as perfect as possible, however again, I am not posting the actual, finished pages, because as I've stated 100000 times, the manga will only be available for purchase as it is not free, unlike the game which is free. Characters and Shit
Edna Rose
Is playable in the 2nd game, and only appears in the ending to the 1st game.
Celia Magnus
Main villain of the 2nd game. Also, if you've noticed, I like to have a black outline, around the eyes of my villain characters, as well as Vice in his Verdant form. It's just a style choice that I choose to do with villains and Vice.

So, here's an update for NOT this game. Except for one of the new characters in this, who is actually just a regular Pokemon, much like Iggy. The characters I am going to be showing off, right now, are mostly for the 2nd game, aside from Master Shao, the blind Mienshao of the Celestial Island. The first character shown above is Celia Magnus, the main villain of the 2nd game. Also, in case you haven't already taken it in yet that my game is super weird, well... enjoy the ride, because it only gets weirder.
Celia is a natural born Planet Herald and Keeper of Time from the future timeline set 7 years after the events of Symphonic Horizon 2. She has lived for centuries and is technically the first Keeper of Time. She is extremely dangerous as a rogue who managed to kill the cast of main characters in the future timeline of when this game takes place.
The 2nd character is Caryl Rose, also known as the daughter to Velvet Amelia Rose the Witch. Caryl, is very much like her mother, aside from the fact that she does not possess the same abilities that Velvet does - transforming into a Persian at will. That said, she does use a similar broomstick to travel between dimensions, just like her mother does as she is capable of going too and from the Next Dimension and the City of the Timeless at will. She isn't so much an important character in the 1st game, as she appears in the ending of the game, but she is very much important in the 2nd game to assist in future travel.
The last character on the list here is Master Shao, the Blind Mienshao. Very similar to Iggy, where I decided to characterize a Pokemon with human characteristics, such as... wearing clothes XD Master Shao is a Mienshao that possesses the ability to speak the human tongue, but lost his eye-sight several years prior to Symphonic Horizon 1. He serves as a mentor character in the Next Dimension Tournament arc, and even takes part fighting in it, as himself. Master Shao eventually reveals that behind his blindfolds are eyes that are always shut, due to him being... well blind. He becomes intrigued by Marissa Brennan, after she loses her eyesight, and begins teaching her how to battle without her eyes and to sense things around her. He even teaches her how to further master her Mega Evolution beyond what it can normally do, and evolves it into a completely different transformation all together. (Note) This is all before Cresselia restores Marissa's eyes with Heaven's Gaze, two purple eyes that allow her to see life energy and verdant energy, while also restoring her vision.

For those of you interested in another video update, here ya are: The Nishima Island Hot Springs and it's wonderous dialogue about, you guessed it, boobs. In typical Tales fashion, the game has the usual, girl boob talk. Yes, that is a thing, for those of who haven't played a Tales game.

So, the Draw My OC Contest that was held previously in March is going to be held, once again, in the coming August! It's start date is August 28th, and will focus on all the characters, once again, but this time with action scenes! So that means more than 1 character will be in the scene and it will be them doing something action-y!
Start Date
On August 28th, 2017 I will be hosting part 2 of my "Draw my OC/Characters" contest on my deviantART Group Page, and the Reborn Forums, with PRIZES
Also, I have finally decided on the prizes and theme for the next contest! The upcoming contest and rules are as such:PRIZES!!!!!
- $200 for First Place and a cameo placement anywhere in the game, whether it be battle or whatever. (Or something of equal value, like dA points, etc)
- $150 dollars for Second Place and a cameo placement (Or something of equal value, like dA points, etc)

Contest Theme
The theme for this contest will be ALL about Summer Swimsuits! Basically, you have to create a situation where the characters are just at the beach in their swimsuits, easy and simple. You are free to add in anything you want, into the scene, including their main Pokemon.
- Only 1 submission is allowed.
- Has to be their designs and nothing that you would attribute to them. So, basically, they have to look like how they normally do.
- Putting them in costumes is allowed, but it has to be the themed costumes that are currently in the game, i.e. Tales Costumes, Beach Costumes, Halloween, Christmas, and various other costumes that they wear in the game.
- You can have as many characters in the artwork as you want, so it doesn't have to be just 1 character in the scene.
- You are free to use any style you wish. You can even do pixel art if you really want to. That'd be... pretty unique and awesome to see actually.
- You can give them things in their hands like Poke Balls, or whatever. Even swords for shits and giggles XD
- No gore, blood or anything really profound and disgusting.
- Don't have another person create the art for you. I want YOU to make the art and not someone make it for you.
- Have fun with it~!

I don't charge anything to play a fan-game. However, the manga you do have to pay for, because that is technically not illegal, and I actually have to enlist an actual, professional manga artist to draw the manga.

Aside from the obvious venting that I did about female protags and shit, I am going to be bringing about some solid news.
Part 1 of the News
You all know about the ending anime-style animation that I made for my game, yes? Well, most of you know, hopefully:
At the moment, I am putting about 2000+ dollars on a large-budget, anime intro animation for my game, this coming August/September. This opening animation will play at the start of every New Game. Also, I am going to spoil the song that will be used for the intro. The song that will be used is called: 夢は終わらない - "The Dream Will Not End" and will feature much smoother animation than the current ending that you see here, since I will have a MUCH larger budget, compared to when I made this.
Speaking of the ending, I will also be going back to older frames of animation, in the ending, and tweak the cels and add new frames to make the animation smoother, within the coming month.
Part 2 of the News
New maps, including the aforementioned Nishima Island Hot Spring are finished, at last. You can, indeed, visit this island at any point in the game, once you get the ticket to go there, via the S.S. Valeria, after unlocking Allan and Hiro.

Usually I care more about how well done a cast is over something silly like there not being enough guys.
I "deleted" said post mostly due in part that I didn't want to offend anyone, but it does still irk me when people address this to me as a problem. And it just so happened that the ratios ended up being what they are. It's too late to change it, and I'm not gonna change it for anyone just because "it has to be that way, because fuck you." Because I don't remember there being an undisclosed rule that all RPG parties MUST be primarily comprised of males. And if there way, then screw the person who made it.

Also, if you're curious, no, her hair isn't black at the end, it's just the shading is why it looks that way.
What's in the first spoiler box isn't necessarily spoilers, but just a rough description of her - however, the 2nd spoiler is spoiler heavy and should only be read if you don't care.

Ninetales' Human Form:

Here's yet another update. This is the promised character that I mentioned last week - This is Ashera with no last name, because she doesn't have a last name. This character is very much like Ninetales and Velvet in that she can transform into a Pokemon. However, unlike Velvet, and very much like Ninetales, she can actually use her Pokemon form offensively, whereas Velvet cannot. She is actually one of the main, playable characters in the 2nd game, but the downside to her in that game is that she cannot use Pokemon, but can only fight in her Pokemon form. Which... is pretty rough, but the catch is that she can turn into Rayquaza and Mega Evolve at will.
Ashera
She is quite the recurring character, in that she becomes somewhat of an important character in this game by being this game's equivalent of the airship - the downside though is that you get her at the end of the game and isn't playable.
As for her character though she is no scrub. Much like Ninetales and Velvet, she is many, many centuries old and has outlived the average human and Pokemon, seeing generations come and go. In fact, she is the youngest of the 2 other characters, in that she is only 3114 years old (explicitly stated be her, herself), and the youngest Rayquaza that exists on Earth.
The three of these characters all have relations to one another, which is why they can transform to and from a Pokemon form, and live indefinitely. With the exception to Velvet, whose transformation doesn't boast any properties that Ninetales and Ashera have. It's very spoilerific, but if you don't care about spoilers, then click the spoiler tag below.
SpoilerNinetales and Ashera are both natural born Pokemon that drank an altered version of the Water of the Outer Heavens which granted them immortality from natural causes and the ability to transform into a human at will. Normally Pokemon like Ninetales and Ashera can normally live indefinitely without the water, though what become of it mostly was the process of transforming into a human. Ninetales is essentially the Next Dimension's teacher to all Planet Heralds that were born from divine blood. She would seek out those humans and train them into fully-realized Planet Heralds, to prepare themselves for the balancing of the Arc Stone's power. However, in Ashera's case, she drank the water from the Celestial Island out of negligence and disobedience (mostly due to her young age at the time). The results of her being able to transform was a total fluke, and as a result was forever banished to the Celestial Island where she would protect it until freed from her pact by a human Trainer who could best her in battle. Since Ariana and her friends had no reason to fight her, due to her watchfulness over the Celestial Island and ensured protection over the Draco Fragment, she was not freed until Vice and co. had a fateful encounter atop the Draco Sanctuary.
Ashera herself is stated by Ninetales to be "a basket-case with too much energy for her own good. And a curiosity that boasts eagerness to the worst degree." What the translates to is an extremely mischievous, and playful Rayquaza with curiosity that borders on naivete. That's, however, to be expected since for her, 3114 years old is the equivalent to adolescence in terms of age, compared to a human; though no matter how old she gets, she will retain the same form as she appears in her artwork. She is extremely high-energy and prone to be a bit of a prankster, in human form. Ashera has a fondness for wrestling with Allan, Vice and Vivian, mostly because she has almost never seen any humans before Ariana and uses them as an outlet. After the events of the game, and even though Hiro marries Vice, Ashera has a fondness for Vice, given that after this game he is primarily around her and is his preferred method of travel. That said, she doesn't get along well with any of the higher-ups from the Next Dimension, due to her being forever banished to the Celestial Island, until freed by Vice and his friends.

Welp, I have here, for you, today a smol update in regards to an optional area of the game. This is Nishima Island the Island of Hot Springs. Because, yes, even my game has to appease the Tales pre-requisite of a hot spring area in the game. This is a completely optional area of the game with no Trainers to battle, aside from getting some funny dialogue from the other characters, some items, the new Hot Spring Towel costumes for all the characters, and an optional mini-game that I programmed myself. At the moment I'm still working on the other maps, such as the hot springs themselves, the caverns and the Sanctuary Tower where the hot springs actually take place at. That said however, here is the main part of the island.
I made this map out of wanting to write some funny dialogue and conversation trades between the main cast of characters. Especially after I replayed Tales of Phantasia on the Super Famicom and a certain line of dialogue that Arche Klein says. For those who played the original Japanese version of the game, you know what line I'm talking about. That one line is what made me make this series of maps - just to appease my inner shipping goals for the characters. Here's a little preview of what I wrote: it's pure fanservice at it's finest.

What you can't actually see, because they are events, are the actual geothermal vents, laid out across the map. You will only be able to see them in-game, because lol-screenshot doesn't show events. The way you get to this island is after a certain point in the game, when you get the S.S. Valeria ticket, and unlock Hiro and Allan you will be able to go here at your leisure. The Pokemon here aren't especially high leveled, nor are there any Trainers to fight.
