Okay, so I just double checked. X-Scissor and U-Turn did not exist in 3rd gen, and the only other decent Bug moves are learned by Bugs that are weak to Psychic or that are not available in FR. <_< EDIT: I might actually try a Grass challenge. I used to love Grass types, and I'm curious to see if I can rediscover why I liked them. The only gym leader I foresee being difficult for that is Blaine.

I guess Bug attacks are better than they were in RBY; I just remember that Beedrill did not last even a full turn.

Hmm, I'm also considering Bug in FR, though Sabrina could be a problem...

Just thought of something. I see people comment/complain that the new legendaries look man-made. However...wasn't Mewtwo man-made? <3 Mewtwo EDIT: Also Porygon.

I assure you I will not miss the portal. As soon as I found the link to the forums, I bookmarked that I never looked back.

I would try a Water challenge, but like you said, that wouldn't be nearly as difficult as most of the others. =p I might pick one to try in FireRed at some point. Electric, perhaps (just need to find a way past Brock with nothing other than Pikachu...)

All the generations so far have had pokemon that I love, some that I can't stand, and some that I don't care about one way or the other. I'm sure Gen 5 will be the same.

Haha, yay for ~ But yeah, I noticed that a year or so ago when I was flipping through a Pokemon book at Borders one day. I thought it was kinda interesting. I also thought it was strange that America mixed around Blue and Green's names. I guess it's because we had Red and Blue rather than Red and Green, but I'm not sure why we did that either. =/

Attract probably isn't too popular because it depends on gender, which isn't consistently reliable. Confusion can be gotten rid of by switching (though it still costs the other person a turn, I suppose), and Ground types and certain other pokemon are immune to Thunder Wave. In response to that last point, some people will use Body Slam on a Serene Grace set. It hits Ground types and still has a reasonable chance to paralyze.

I liked most of the Gen 4 pokemon when they were revealed, but I don't particularly like any of these new ones so far. The grass starter is okay, but my opinion of it is still brought down by virtue of it being a grass type... Zekrom is kinda okay, but it looks too much like a digimon rather than a pokemon.

I enjoyed Snap and TCG. I think I still have some stickers from when I rented Snap years and years ago.

Ah, the last DS game I had was Nightmare Troubadour, and I sold that mostly because I don't like the newer card restrictions. Haven't bothered with any of the GX-themed ones. Also, direct damage decks all the way!
