    I honestly can't imagine playing a Fire Emblem game without save states. Is the RNG still as brutal as it was in the original and Sacred Stones?

      I would argue that everything prior to Awakening was way more brutal. I am not playing on classic, but even if I was, I probably would have only had to restart a chapter once or twice in this current play through of Fates. Even though I knew the maps and events of SS pretty well, I had to restart pretty often due to Rng bullshit or me putting a character in the wrong place. Your characters in Awakening and Fates are considerably more powerful than prior game characters are.
