After all the other types mentioned, the onix line might be the oldest, given that they live deep underground and can apparently live hundreds of years

There is also the possibilty of tentacool/tentacreul species. No pokedex entries actually say so, but given they are based on jellyfish which are fairly simple organisms, its possible they've easily been around millions of years. Beyond them, all ghost types are a strong possibility, as we see pokemon like gengar being imprisoned by pokeopolis, and just the idea that they are the dead means its possible they've existed since the first death. Also ninetails, not technically ancient but as possible immortals they have the possibility of being so in extreme cases.

If you can teach Flygon dig. Then set it up next to as many earthquake users as possible while it uses dig. Its levitate makes EQ completely unneffective and it can just keep OHKO most everything and dodging Draglage's poision spams until the team can kill it. Also evolving piloswine would help a lot.

What type has the most of your favorite pokemon?
Xenome replied to TorchicPlays's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
OK, so I actually have two types as a favorite. The first is dragon because frankly it is the best designed type out there. With large move pools easily supplemented by TM's, the best stats period, and generally awesome designs (exception: Goomy line, why did the creators think a slug was a dragon) they are the perfect species. The list of favorites is Dragonite, Salamance, Hydregion, Haxorous, Garchomp, the Lati twins, Rayquaza, and basically every dragon, minus the Kalos dragons. The other best type is Psychic. Starting with an inate ability to avoid many of the defenses other pokemon -
TIL that wind speed has almost no effect on temperature, only how your body reacts to it.

Really good artwork Sleppu. Shelly looks awesome. Goes out and captures team of legends, before commanding them to become Shelly's permanent guard.

Kanto- Lance, I will just say this, Dragon types, plus secret agent, plus cape equals awesome. Lorelei, She was just so underwhelming Johto- Karen, best of a boring group, also umbreon was cool. Koga, He just wasn't impressive and lacked any wow factor, plus he wasn't even the strongest gym leader before then. Hoenn- Drake, a captain and dragon master, enough said Glacia, just has too little variety. Sinnoh- Flint, good story line and strong team. Aaron, I'm sorry but bug types are just way too easy to beat Unova- Shauntai, makes a reall

Well I really have several favorites. As a starter Charmander/charmeleon/charizard is awesome. It learns dragon rage early enough to counter any type disadvantage early on and has such a versatile and powerful final form that it is almost unfair. favorite regular pokemon is Lucario, move pool plus typing plus movie equals pure fun Favorite pseudo legendary is Dragonite. I started on the gen 1 games and did well but was also really young and so when I got the dratini and it sucked I was silly and left it in the PC, then came Lance. I learned never to undervalue the pokemon again. Favorite l
