Yeah, but the ability to turn "set" on is available for people who don't want that. You have to try and remember that while Gamefreak understands that even though there are a lot of adults who play pokemon, and that most of those adults would like the games to be more difficult in one way or another, the fact is that most of the people who play pokemon games are kids, so if they forcibly make the games more difficult by removing certain features, they're going to alienate their target demographic. But the pokemon games are designed so that the player can ( to a certain extent ) make the game as difficult as they want. You don't Have to have "shift" on, you can limit or even ban the use of pokemon centers and potions, you can do challenge runs ( nuzlockes, mono-type runs, solo runs,ect ). And while leaving the difficulty of the game up to the players individual decisions about how to play the game might not be the most satisfying thing for most players, it is a good compromise. While I will admit that the amount of "handholding" in the resent games has reached, pardon my language, stupid fucking levels. And that there are a LOT of things that Gamefreak could do to make the games harder without making it too hard for the kids.It's a system that works...for now. Will it continue to work? I don't know, but all we can do is hope that Gamefreak comes to their senses, and finds a way to make the game difficult in a way that satisfies ALL their customers.

Yeah, I did decide to catch and train a shiny one, but unfortunately when I made that decision I forgot that Horsea was the rare encounter for fishing there. I was lucky enough to steal a Dragon Scale in about half an hour, but I've spent the better part of the last 5 hours unsuccessfully looking for a ( hopefully female ) shiny Horsea ( though I have found 5 shiny Remorade and 4 shiny Qwilfish). Oh well, sleep is for the weak.

THAT'S CRAZY! THAT'S INSANE! No but seriously, this is some amazing work, so good in fact that it's put me in a bit of a dilemma. I really want to use that shiny Kingdra sprite, but I don't know if I want to make it the shiny sprite or the normal sprite. On one hand I REALLY don't want to have to fight Horsea until I find one with a Dragon Scale that I can steal, then try to find and catch a shiny Horsea, and then train it up into ANOTHER Kingdra. But on the other hand getting a shiny (even with Reborn's high shiny rate) does fell like a great acomplishment, and it would be nice to see it compared to other trainer's regular Kingdras. But on the third hand that I was born with do to a genetic mutation , I know that Amaria has a Kingdra, and it would be really cool to fight a gym leader with an alternate colored mon ("shiny" Kingdra Vs. "shiny" Kingdra = epic). Decisions decisions.

That's kinda wild. I actually really hope that it is the PULSE Butterfree now.

Come on guys, it's OBVIOUS that the thing causing the sleep spell is a PULSE Darkrai.

I used it in the beginning because their wasn't much else that was worth it, but I pretty much only used it as an HM slave/fodder until I got some better options. I don't really like any off them.

Well, the best advice I can think to give you is to be VERY CAREFUL with how much you grind. I don't know if the game has mentioned it to you yet, but it's very important to know, that not every badge will raise your level cap. I find that if you fight EVERY trainer you can find then you probably won't have to do much grinding after like the 3rd gym ( though, sense you're doing a nuzlock you'll obviously have to do some grinding to get new mon's on par with the rest of your team ). And don't worry about it being to easy, it gets harder. Much harder ( laughs evilly to self ).

Well assuming no more IRL problems come up, I'd say probably 2-4 months. But if problems do happen I'd say we're looking at... I don't know, 5-7 months. Of course I'm just spit balling here, and as I'm not on the Dev team, my estimates mean literally nothing. But hey, that's just a theory. A GAME THEORY.

This. Is. ABSURD!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I just had to get that out. Anyway is field looks crazy, and I am definitely looking forward to/fearing going up against it. Personally I feel like this field fits Laura more than Bennett or Adrienn, personality wise at least.

I'm so excited that all the mapping is done. I haven't looked at most of the new maps yet (because I want to experience them when I play Ep16), but knowing how much blood, sweat, and tears you pour into this game, I don't even need to read everyone else's praises to know that they're all going to be amazing. As for items I think evolite, rocky helmet, and weakness policy would be good for this point in the game.

Reborn's not a romhack, Ame built this thing from scratch using RPGmaker and Pokemon essentials. And I'm excited too:)

My first ever shiny was a Ratatta on route 22 in Gold version, except I didn't know what shiny pokemon were, so I didn't catch it. I thought the red gyrados was just a special thing that they put in the game, and something like that wouldn't happen again, so when I saw a yellow Ratatta I freaked out and thought my game was broken, and immediately turned it off fearing my save data was in trouble. It wasn't until gen 3 that I learned better.

Tbh if I could change the bangs I'd want Amaria's hair, which might seem weird sense i'm a guy, but what can I say, I think really long hair is badass. If I couldn't change Amaria's bangs though, I guess I'd go for Bennett.

Damn. After seeing the light Peridot Ward I decided not to check out any of the new maps so that I could experience them when ep.16 comes out, but seeing all these comments about how good the maps look, is really making me want to click the spoiler button. Must. Stay Strong.

Well I have a theory. Gallade's trainer is the Psychic type leader and he abandoned Gallade a long time ago, but what Gallade doesn't know is that he only did it so that Gallade could be independent and do what he wanted to do (like be a mediocre reporter). During his leader reveal Gallade and his trainer will have gooey heart-to-heart and Gallade will come back to his trainer to be his ace for the league.
