No they shouldn't. Some people don't like to read books and I think it's dumb to force it. Additionally, those who DO read have different tastes and may not enjoy being subjected to reading a book that they don't enjoy reading. I had to read a book "The uncommon reader" for my exams and it SUCKED, I hate that book, it's awful, but I was forced to read it. And I lost interest in reading years ago. So yeah. No. Should not be obligatory. The only book series I can remember really enjoying right now was SKULDUGGERY PLEASANT, and I would recommend reading it because it's friggin awesome and I wish they'd make movies of it except it would have to be rated like 15s because of all the gorey stuff in it. But I wouldn't recommend it for school reading because not everyone's into that kinda thing. For school reading if I HAD TO recommend a book, I guess I'd go with "I am the cheese" because it's an interesting one. Definitely not garbage like To kill a mockingbird. That book also sucks and it's super boring. Sorry, I'm just not a fan of the classics I guess \o/ If you could instantly learn to play an instrument at a professional level, what would it be?

No, the system here is essentially trying to teach students to memorise facts and essays for one final important examination. There is no actual mental development. Sure, you can learn a bunch of interesting things but it's mostly useless out of context and only useful for this one exam. The math curriculum is fixing itself a little bit by adding thins to the course that you can't just memorise. I'd like to see more of that kind of thing. Where you have to use your own brain to work out how to do things, not just write down what was written down for the same question that came up in the exams 5 years ago. Do you think it's okay to kill bugs?

I have a vagueish goal of making lots of money for producing music for movies that won't ever happen. So I'm just learning to play the piano really well. I don't really have much long term goals, which is quite depressing. I find that without something to work towards or look forward to, life sort of loses meaning though, So I just keep coming up with short term goals and distractions. For now, I'm not really studying super hard for my exams, my intentions are to sit them and do well in them anyway because I know what I new to know to get a grade I'm pleased with. After that I have the whole summer to fill with distractions. Summer is a particularly difficult time because there's no school so I generally just wake up and sleep at random hours and feel tired all the time. I also dislike summer because there are lots of spiders in the grass when it's warm. I want to lie outside in the grass but lying in a spider-infested garden would essentially be torture for me and I would probably just go insane or something. Spring is when all the baby spiders come out, autumn is when all the big spiders try to come inside to survive the cold, Winter is my favorite because all the spiders die. What's your least favorite season?
