  1. There is also one more place to get it, but I think you have missed the event.
  2. I said that I agreed with you guys, and I think I was being a little too hard on my self. All I need is someone to hack drilbur in the mystery egg and I'm ready to go
  3. Thanks a lot! As being new to the forums (as of a couple days ago), I need quite a bit of guidance at the beginning. If you could help my thread it would be appreciated: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16232#entry374938 Thanks anyways if you can't~
  4. I'm not sure if Hippowdon has been covered or not yet, but I can add some input. Pokemon: Hippowdon Ability: Sand Stream Moves: Elemental Fangs (Meh, but still decent), Slack Off (Breed with Slakoth), Crunch (Level Up), Earthquake (Level Up), and Fissure if you can't get by someone and are willing to soft reset. Item (If applicable): Smooth Rock Why: Hippowdon is very important for ground type teams if applicable for many reasons. First of all, the sand has nice residual damage that synergizes well with Hippos bulk and slack off (if bred). Second of all, one of the nastiest leaders is noel. Many have problems with that clefable, and if one has access to that drilbur egg ( I sure as hell wish I did ), then Noel gets absolutely demolished. If Hippo had access to the Toxic TM then he could toxic stall through teams easily, but unfortunatly I don't think that is possible. Hippowdon is also one of the exclusive weather starters for monotype teams.
  5. Ampharos would be soo much better with not only a wider movepool and superior stats, but also a beautiful design
  6. Honestly Leafeon and Vaporeon both have pros and cons. Type advantage wise, Leafeon would add an unfortunate disadvantage as far as bug type moves considering that Krook and Beheeyem both have weaknesses, but bug types won't be much of a threat since you have already beaten the bug-type gym leader and they won't be too common. Also Typhlosion shouldn't have much problem with its fire type moves. Typhlosion has some decent synergy with Leafeon, boosting its fire type attacks (with flash fire) when hit by a fire attack which should be fairly easy to lure in. Typhlosion also won't have any problem tanking those ice type moves and hitting back hard. Poison honestly isn't much of a threat to either Vaporeon or Leafeon. Vaporeon would add two weaknesses, grass and electric. The only other poke weak to grass is Krook, but Typhlosion could easy take it down. If you added Vap then it would be the only poke weak to electric, and Krook would easily destroy electrics. Leafeon has a fairly shallow moveset, learning Swords Dance and Leaf Blade leveling up, and even sunny day to help out typhlosion and for the chlorophyll boost. Leafeon could also hit hard with Last Resort but those are some of the best moves it could learn via level up. You could do lots of breeding but that wouldn't help much. Vaporeon has a decent moveset in Hydro Pump/Muddy Water, Signal Beam/Aurora Beam, Shadow Ball, and maybe Rain Dance or Wish; the latter available through breeding. Both seem like fair options for your team, but in my opinion, Leafeon seems like the way to go balancing out physical and special attackers (I assume). Also Leafeon can pack a hard punch. You shouldn't underestimate Vaporeon's bulk though, it can tank a lot of (special) hits and has some decent special attack on its own. I hope I could help~
  7. This is looking like a pretty cool run, keep it up!
  8. Hi! I am new to the forums and needed some help. I wanted to do a ground monotype run (sick and tired of aya and corey) but there are no ground type starters. Also, I didn't want to start with mudkip or turtwig because even though they end up as ground types I think that's cheating. So if someone could help me get a ground type pokemon that would be great. I have a couple preferences that I want to address. I would like to have hippopotas or drilbur because in the end I want to be running sand and want hippo and/or drilbur early (if you really wanted to make my day you could give me a save file where the mystery egg is drilbur). One small small preference is that it is female (so that I don't have to wait for ditto to breed for perfect iv's :]]). If you don't have a save file with drilbur as the mystery egg, then use the one attached . Thanks if anyone can help! EDIT: Actually I wasn't going for pure ground type pokemon, that would give me quite a limited option.. I think I have one of two options: I could reset until I get a drilbur in the mystery egg (each run takes about two hours with the cheat engine), and then restart that save file (with the drilbur egg) and use either mudkip or turtiwg. Then wait until Tanzan Mountains where you get hippopotas/hippowdon (that's where one of those are, iirc). The other alternative works if someone hacks in my game and gives me a drilbur.. and then I could get the turtwig event later in the game.. After all I think I have come to the conclusion that if I use pokemon that stay as ground types that it would be pretty tough. If someone could help me with the latter option it would save loads of time, but I can always reset Thanks again for the help and suggestions! EDIT (#2): If someone could edit in drilbur as the mystery egg I would be much obliged becuase I have spent about 10 hours working on this and I still haven't gotten a drilbur from resetting my game and speed playing through the first two gyms and two pulses.
