  1. Once the full game is released it'll be completely open to mods, so there will almost certainly be a reborn easier mode, for people who mostly want to enjoy the story! I completely understand the frustration of getting stuck on certain fights though. There were times when I felt like giving up might be easier!

If you're really into the story you could try looking for a let's play, but those do come with the side effect of somewhat annoying commentary in most cases, which might detract from the experience.

Do you archive topics or can we do it on our own and if so, How?

The topics that are archived are generally pre site-update, although if they're inactive for over a year or two its an automatic process. We don't actively archive anything, as generally it just makes life more difficult as we can't edit them, and the site automatically stores everything that's been created.

If you want to make it so that one of your threads can't be replied to anymore, then we can lock it. Users of the veteran class or above (which you get once you've been on the forum long enough) can lock their own topics, but if non-veterans like you wan't a thread locked feel free to pass it onto a moderator who can do it for you. The best way to do this is by reporting your own thread and just mentioning that you want it locked in the report.

Hopefully this answers your question, let me know if I've missed the point!

    Hi there!

I'm a newb to this game. Recently, I'm having a problem with the side mission 'stealing a TV for a student' at Kiki's gym on the Aphellyl beach (Idk if the location's name is right or not). When I tried to steal the TV, a girl stopped me and made me fight against her. I beat her but then the game froze. The only thing I can do is saving the game but cannot move or open the menu.

Please help me fix the game. Here is my save file:

    Game.rxdata

Thank you so much in advance :D

Okay, I've gone back through the stealing stuff, so you now have the tv in your possession. Replace your file with this one.

  4. We've had quite a few of these threads over the years, but we haven't had one in a while, so I don't see the harm in having a new one!

For me, the answer would be a tie between dedenne and azumarill, as I prefer cute pokemon in general, and they're both fast attackers which makes them more entertaining to use.

  5. Check that you've downloaded the public release rather than the Community Release, as while they're both E17, the Community Release would no longer work. If you found the download in a thread here, it was probably the outdated version (although when you open up the game I'm pretty sure it should tell you which one you have).

I'm having a problem with my save file. I went down in the Celestinine Cascade to get the totodile and my way out seems blocked by the strength block on the ice that i pushed west earlier, it's reset now and i don't have any escape rope, so as far as i can tell i'm just stuck down here. Help Ame! Thanks!

    Game.rxdata

I've put you back in Agate circus as where you saved wasn't near any strength boulders. If you're okay with that download this file and replace your one with it. If you would prefer to be closer to wherever your going, can you go to exactly where you need the boulder moved save the game and then upload it, as I wandered around for a while and couldn't find the boulder you were talking about.

I've no doubt the file works, but I believe I ain't doing something right, could you say exactly what the process of replacing the file Is? How do I take that file and put it in my game?

Download the file Walpurgis gave you. Then go to your downloads folder and find it. Make sure the file is just called game.rxdata without any additional numbers or anything like that. In the file you uploaded it seemed to have an extra .rxdata. If you're using a PC then the file should just be called Game, as the .rxdata will add itself automatically (don't delete it when it pops up, but don't add any extra .rxdatas yourself. Copy it, then go to the saved games folder (in your computers C drive) where you found the save file in the first place. Then paste it into the folder. It should ask you if you want to replace the existing file of the same name, say yes. If it doesn't ask you that, the file isn't named correctly, so make sure its exactly the same as the save file in the folder. Once its replaced then the file should work.

  8. I tried the file you were given and it worked fine on my end. Make sure you've replaced the file you uploaded with the one you were given in the saved games folder of your computer. You'll know its updated because you've been put in the room outside the one with ZEL in it. Then after you win the battle everything should work fine. That being said, if you check you've done that and it still doesn't work, post again, and I can give you a copy of your file where all of the events in that room are done (but that's not ideal as you wouldn't be able to see the story stuff in there without going to youtube or something).

  9. To be honest, Kirby games don't ever really have particularly compelling stories. They provide a reason to go between levels and keep playing, but nothing particularly special. Triple Deluxe's story was the best out of the ones I've played, but I haven't played either Planet Robobot or Star Allies.

  10. Teach fly to one of your pokemon and go back to Reborn city, where you can explore as much as you'd like. There should be more information of where you need to go to continue the plot in the grand hall though, so heading there early is a good idea.

Now that we're 17 episodes in... I have to wonder what gave birth to the idea of 'Reborn'?

There was an online league where people could battle the gym leaders (as in the ones who are currently the gym leaders in game) with a team of their choice. Then someone suggested that it might make a good game and were going to do something, but Ame (who ran the league) decided she wanted to do it as she was experienced with RPGMaker. Some of the meteor characters were made via various other forms (a guy called Ice who still hangs out around here something was a big player if I remember correctly). Everything just developed from there.

  12. Lag is somewhat difficult to fix. If you're talking about lag on the overworld, there isn't a whole lot that can be done other than trying to have less programs open on your computer. If battles themselves are really laggy you could consider disabling animations (you can do this from the options bit of the main menu) and that should speed things up.

  13. The first chapter was a really good read, so good job there!

I can't guarantee that I'd read all of it, but its certainly something that I'd at least flick through when I noticed it.

For dialogue, you could try downloading RPGMaker and then opening reborn up in that, as it would allow you to see all of the text and copy and paste it, but the downside to that is you have to work out the exact order of events and where text comes from, so to be honest the way you're doing it at the moment is probably best.

  14. @March Hare Divergent

As far as I'm aware the system of creating clubs still requires a certain number of members. That being said, I don't think that we're monitoring a certain level of activity is upheld. If there's enough support for that, we could certainly consider our options in that regard, but I'm not sure if we see there being enough harm in some emptier clubs to actively delete things or not.

  15. Okay I'm going to pin this thread for now alongside Tacos one, as I still think there's value to having it around as a reference, as there have been many discussions of glitches and so on in there.

That said, this looks like a really impressively detailed guide that should be really helpful, so thanks and great job!

the first step says go to where you have your save file, but i cant find it, i justt have this. And i cant find any file like the ones in the tutorial for backupsaves

That's not the folder you're looking for. If you need further instructions on how to locate the save file look here

  17. Congratulations!!!

I've been ridiculously impressed (and thankful) for your work in bug reporting in particular, as I haven't been helping out there with the frequency that I should and I realise that doing so much of the work with minimal support is quite difficult!

Yet you've taken on the task with impressive dedication, and therefore your promotion was well deserved!

So, welcome to the team once again!

Hello. I'm new to this website and I was wondering, where do I go to ask questions about "Pokemon Rejuvenation"? It's been a while since it was updated and I'm worried...

We have an entire subforum dedicated to Rejuvenation that can be found here.

Don't worry though! The game is definitely still going though and there should be a new release somewhat soonish.

@mde2001 How do you guys actually unstuck save files? I've got RPGM myself and I'm just wondering how I could do it myself if I needed to. It would at least mean I'd be able to help unstuck-ing people here too

It varies a bit, but everything relies on opening the game in debug mode. For the most basic things, its just opening up the game and holding down alt then moving them into a position where they aren't stuck anymore or going and manually doing something like lowering the water level in the WTC. Then for some things, you need to change game variables (the most common one example of something like this is fixing the Blake not appearing bug, in which variable 193 needs to be moved from 16 to 15). I've fallen a bit out of touch with some of the newer things (for example I generally leave Simon sidequest issues to Walpurgis and Njab, because I only ever worked out how to fix that once, and have forgotten since then), but generally you can work out the issue by looking at event triggers on maps. Sometimes people will have something completely knew which will require lots of playing around for sometimes upwards of an hour trying to work out what's wrong (although we haven't had anything like that for a quite a while), but generally its relatively intuitive.
